More than a dragon Warrior

Great way to start

Great way to start

[Tai Lung's POV]

I allowed the soldier to run away and let them gather at the exit as their huge bodies and numbers blocked my way to freedom.

*DASH!!*

I reached the last bridge that should lead towards the exit but I did not stop there and instead, continued running on the wall.

My claws sank into the rocks as my agile body scaled the height with ease. I was made for this as a snow leopard. My natural habitat was in the mountains.

I finally reached the ceiling of the cave where huge stalactites hang like chandeliers. They were huge spikes that were made naturally by erosion.

I took a giant leap and hung on one of the spikes before I climbed up. It was then that I found what I was searching for.

Dynamites.

I grabbed them with my hand and I was easily able to pull them all off as they were all inter-connected with a fuse.

With the explosives in my hand, I finally landed on the bridge with a thud. The army had already gathered near the exit and they were all staring at me with their mouth wide open in shock.

This must've been their last hope but I easily snuffed out their hope with my future knowledge. But then again, it's not like it would work anyway.

I threw the explosives off the bridge and they fell down to the bottom of the cave which was not even visible at this point since it was so deep.

I clapped as if removing imaginary dust and I finally let out a smile of relief.

"Move, you are in my way." I told them as my smile flipped into a frown.

The atmosphere becomes tense and they had a hard time breathing, as if they had just realize the low amount of oxygen in the cave.

Their body froze in fear and you could hear an audible gulp in the silence. But the rhinos stood unmoving and continued to be a hindrance.

"We won't let you get out so easily, Tai Lung. Your time of evil is over, the Anvil of Heaven will stop you." The commander said, and he even had the gall to use a righteous tone.

"Evil? What the have I done to be called such a thing? I merely destroyed a few houses in the Valley of Peace in anger and you guys are treating me like pure evil." I said with a sigh. Have they forgotten all the other times I have saved China?

In the end, I knew the answer was .that I was too strong. Before I was imprisoned here, I was famous all over China as one of the strongest kung fu masters.

I have travelled around different cities, challenging and defeating different kung fu masters and also defeating entire armies by myself. It could be said that people were afraid of me, what if I turned against them? And my outburst was a good excuse to put me away for good.

"Don't lie to us, Master Oogway have seen through your evil heart." The commander said and he got nods from his soldiers.

Right, that was also one of the reasons why they put me here. Oogway lived for hundreds of years and was basically like a Buddha, what he said can't be wrong.

"And how old is he exactly? He had gone senile." I said and slumped my shoulder in mock sadness.

"You know what? Forget it." I said as I put one foot forward, ready to charge at them.

"I am giving a chance for everyone to run away one last time. You can't stop me." I said as my voice got an octave deeper.

"The Anvil of Heaven. You guys are only a thousand, you think that is enough to stop me? I have mastered the thousand scrolls of kung fu, I can use a different technique to kill each and every one of you individually."  I said and I could see their strong faces slowly beginning to break.

"On the count of three, I will kill anyone remaining here. One."

The soldiers looked around, reading each other's faces to see what they were thinking.

"Two." I saw the soldiers girt their teeth as the young soldiers who had never seen war, started crying.

"One."

And then..

"Whaaaaaa!!! I am not going to die such a meaningless death." One of them said and pushed the door open before fleeing.

It took one coward to convince everyone else. Fear spread like an infection as they began fleeing one by one.

But as more and more started running away, the idea of running seemed 'not so embarrassing', so more and more joined in.

Until only the duck and the commander were left. The other soldiers have all run away.

"Would you look at that." I said, my voice was mocking, "Such remarkable army you are leading."

Peals of laughter left my throat before I suddenly shot forward and hit the commander right in his chest.

*Boom!!*

"GAH!!" He threw up blood mixed with spit.

In one swift movement, I took hold of his giant horn and hit his chin with my knee. I pulled the horn as hard as I could while doing so and I ripped it off.

He let out a guttural scream before I stabbed him right at his heart with his broken horn. He stopped screaming and I stared at his eyes.

A growl instinctively rolled off my throat as he staggered back. For the final attack, I delivered a palm strike right at his horn, which caused the stab to go deeper and he died, just like that.

I turned towards the duck who was looking at all this with horror in his face. He had stayed around for all this time because he was a messager.

And you don't hurt a messenger.

But he seemed to be more and more unsure of that fact as we locked eyes. Until eventually he let out a scream and ran outside.

"Hahaha. am I that scary?" I asked myself while following right behind.

But before I went out of the cave, I took the torches fixed on the walls and thew them down to the bottom of the cave.

Then I went out of the prison and the harsh wind of the frigid mountain greeted me.

Everything was covered in snow and there was a perpetual spine-chilling gale. I looked around the mountains and even with such weather, I felt comfortable.

I was a snow leopard, this was my natural habitat. I was not only meant to survive in such a climate but to thrive in it.

"Freedom at last." I said. I looked around the surrounding and saw a rock nearby. I picked it up and tested the weight.

Then I looked to the sky and threw the rock. It flew up and my aim stayed true as it hit the messenger who was trying to fly away from me.

"Ouch!!" He screamed and fell back on the mountain. I went to the place where he fell and grabbed him by the neck before he could fly away again.

"Haaaa~ Don't be scared. I am not going to hurt you, after all, I want you to deliver a message." I said and pat the small head of the duck.

"But before that, tell me. How is Shifu doing this day?" I asked.

I loosed the grip I had on his neck and he choked out an answered, "He's doing good. He's doing well. He took five disciples after your imprisonment and they are famous throughout China."

"None of them could compare to you of course hehe." He added in fear.

"I see." I said, "Fly back to Shifu now and tell him to prepare a feast."

"I am coming home." I tossed him in the air and he flapped his little wings until he disappeared from view.

Right then, the whole mountain shook as if it was experiencing a volcanic eruption. The prison I just left behind exploded as huge flames shot out from the entrance.

The shockwave caused the mountain to crumble and I could see that an avalanche was sure to follow.

I let out a laugh. It seemed the dynamite finally caught on fire due to the torch I threw down.

"What a great way to start." I said and ran down the mountain before the disaster that followed could catch me.
