Mr. Fang's Feisty Mistress

Chapter 27 His Not-So Perfect Public Image

"Come and sit beside me," The old lady beckoned to him with a kind smile on her face.

Mr. Fang's father, Fang Huiqing raised his head to glance at him and cleared his throat before going back to eating his food.

"Grandma, I will be fine on my own,"

Mr. Fang rejected his old lady's gesture and took a seat, 2 seats away from her. He was avoiding her old habits of treating him like a child.

She might end up piling enough food for 3 adults to finish, on his plate.

Surprisingly, the dinner went smoothly with no fights in-between, but after, Mr. Fang ended up being offended by his father's words.

"Wenwen, I know I said I wouldn't bring anything relating to your private life, but I just wanted to give you a reminder since you are leaving tomorrow morning," The old lady said with a guilty gaze on him.

Mr. Fang sighed because he just knew she was going to arrive at that point, and he has been waiting for it. She was his grandmother after all.

"What reminder do you want to give to me?" He asked with a calm gaze.

The old lady exchanged glances with his mother before shifting her gaze back to him. A profound smile appeared on her face as she said to him…

"These days, the media has seemed to forget all those ridiculous rumours about you. Why don't you take your time to find a woman who will spend the rest of her life with you? Or if you have a girlfriend already, introduce her to us as soon as possible."

A low chuckle escaped from Fang Huiqing's lips as he seemed to find his mother's words ridiculous. "You are asking him to find someone he will spend the rest of his life with when he doesn't even let anyone get close to him."

"Honey it's not his fault that he can't tolerate harsh scents around him," Jian Cuifen said with a worried gaze. She was worried about another fight breaking out after her son, Fang Bingwen would lose control.

"Did I ever say it was his fault? If he doesn't want to end up alone, he should be more tolerant of people, and his image while in public. After he pushed Old Jia's daughter in public, he has refused to say a word to me," Fang Huiqing complained with a bitter expression on his face.

Mr. Fang was indeed respectable, but his public image was not perfect because some time ago, he was rumoured to be arrogant, stone-hearted and even less tolerant of women. Not just that, he was also rumoured to be gay.

This news was carried about because of a simple mistake from him. When he went on the first date his family set for him with the Jia family's daughter, he was irritated because of her obvious strong scent.

Even those without the health issue he had, would be uncomfortable with the strong scent from the perfume she used.

He was trying so much to tolerate her but failed, so he asked for the date to end, and right when he was about to walk away, she threw herself on him from behind, and he ended up pushing her without a second talk.

Mr. Fang was still angry because of her actions and had left her there, not knowing she had secretly let their date out to a few reporters before that day, and that was how pictures of that day's scenes, and those rumours made rounds to the internet.

Later, the Fang family with their influence, managed to wipe that history off the internet, but those who saw and read the news the minute it trended, couldn't seem to wipe it from their memory, they were still stuck with it.

Mr. Fang let out another sigh and glanced at his grandmother. "Grandma, I will surely take my time to think about what you said. I have to leave a bit early in the morning, so I have to retire early, thank you for the dinner,"

After saying that, he stood up and bowed slightly to his mother before walking away.

"What! He didn't even greet me?" Fang Huiqing said with a furious gaze directed at the path Mr. Fang disappeared to.

Mr. Fang didn't greet him, and also didn't say a word to him. He completely ignored his father like he was existing. This was so difficult for Fang Huiqing to tolerate.

Old lady Fang rolled her eyes saying, "Didn't I tell you to remain quiet when you see him, but you ended up making me look like the bad guy here for inviting him back home and bringing up the marriage topic."

"Were there any lies in what I said, why are you afraid of him?" Fang Huiqing asked with a curious-annoyed glance at the two women at the table with him.

"It's not Wenwen that I am afraid of, it's you. You have succeeded in angering my precious grandson whom I managed to bring back home. Now, who knows when next he would agree to come back home,"

The old lady glared at her son before leaving the dining area. Jian Cuifen released a sigh before leaving the dining room as well, now, Fang Huiqing was left all alone.

He was unhappy that his first son doesn't take heed from him as he prefers to do what pleased him.

Early the next morning, Mr. Fang set out to leave. He followed his usual morning routine by brushing his teeth, taking 4 pills from his drug bottle and doing a few minutes of jogging before freshening up.

By the time he was done packing his things and gone downstairs with his luggage, he saw the small dining room bustling.

It turned out that his mother wanted him to have breakfast before leaving, so she had the chefs prepare breakfast on time as if she knew that he would be early.

"Come and eat before you go, the breakfast is like, and there will be no need for complaints," Jian Cuifen said with an inviting smile.

Mr. Fang handed his luggage to a servant who took it outside the house, while he ended up going to have breakfast with his mother and grandmother.

As for his father, the man didn't want to be annoyed by his presence, so he stayed back in his bedroom and ordered to be served there.
