Chapter 4 Convincing Mr. Fang
"I don't mind being chased out in the middle of his class, as it's still far better than causing a commotion and disrupting his class by fainting," Zhang Liling said faintly before proceeding to drink from the bottle in her hand.
She was at a point where she didn't care what was going to happen next. The most important to her at the moment was to quench her thirst and try to get a little strength.
'Didn't she come in now?' Mr. Fang thought with knitted brows and continued teaching.
But when he was done talking, he pointed a finger at her and said with a serious gaze, "You are just coming in, and you are already disrupting my class, get ready to answer my question."
Zhang Liling almost choked on her water, especially when he shifted his sharp gaze in her direction. She wasn't expecting this reaction from him.
As for Tungmei, she stopped breathing when Mr. Fang's gaze was fixed in their direction, and only remembered to breathe after he moved his attention away from them.
Mr. Fang's actions made them the center of attention, but that was not a problem for them.
Tungmei had a few words for Zhang Liling, but she did not dare to talk, for fear of implicating herself.
From the time Mr. Fang dished out that punishment to Zhang Liling, there was a pin drop silence. There was silence before, but right now, it was even better as there was absolute tranquility.
There were no longer secret whispers and side talks as no one was ready to answer the difficult questions of Mr. Fang.
Since Mr. Fang was talking about negotiation skills, and being caught in a trap, Zhang Liling paid attention to his class.
Unlike before, where she would the opportunity to daze for some seconds, this time around, she forced her 5 senses to be focused.
She already knew that she would be a dead meat if she lost concentration and missed an important point or answer to his questions.

At the end of the class, Mr. Fang glanced in Zhang Liling's direction and said, "You get up and answer this question."
Immediately, all attention was fixed on Zhang Liling who slowly got to her feet. Most of them wanted to see the next level of punishment she would receive after failing to answer Mr. Fang's question.
"Good luck, Liling." Tungmei prayed in her heart.
"We talked about negotiation skills today. Right now, I want you to convince me to continue doing business with you instead of sending you away since you came to class late." Mr. Fang asked.
Everyone has been guessing where his questions would come from, but this one that just left his lips was not a part of it.
From what Zhang Liling understood from the question, he was telling her to convince him not to ban her from coming to his class again, since she arrived late and even caught her drinking water in the middle of his class.
Honestly, Zhang Liling was dumbstruck just like Tungmei, but she had to say something even though she didn't know what response to give.
Slowly fixing her gaze on him, she started to reply, "This is the first time I'm coming late for a business meeting with you because I was abducted this morning from my house. After managing to convince my enemy to let me go with a deal, I came straight to the meeting venue, and I appeared 10 seconds to the time for the meeting appointment."
Whispers and hushed voices were coming from the other students as they couldn't help talking about her response.
Some of them wondered what she was talking about, while the others were thinking if she made it up just to convince Mr. Fang not to ban her from his class.
"What is she talking about?"
"Was she really abducted?"
"Shouldn't she have just begged him to give her one more chance?"
To the last question Tungmei overheard, she scoffed and replied to it in her head. 'He asked her to convince him not to beg, you fools!'
Mr. Fang who just heard Zhang Liling's response was a bit surprised by it, but he refused to show his thought and emotions on his face.
'Did she just tell me what happened to her this morning,' He thought to himself. Zhang Liling's gaze was too sincere, and her response was too straightforward to be deemed a lie.
Nevertheless, he still passed on the verdict he had in mind.
Zhang Liling who was patiently waiting for his response along with the other students, paid close attention to hear him.
"I am unsatisfied with your response, and you have succeeded in creating an animosity between us." After delivering the long-awaited response, Mr. Fang picked up his laptop with his hand and walked away.
Immediately his back disappeared from view, the entire class broke out in uproar.
Zhang Liling ignored the students talking about her and turned to glance at Tungmei to ask. "Did Mr. Fang just reject my reply, does that mean I can't attend his classes anymore?"
Seeing that gaze of uncertainty, Tungmei didn't know what to tell her, she just sat there and continued staring at her with confusion.
"Take care of my backpack!" Those were the last words Tungmei heard from her before she disappeared from her sight.
Zhang Liling chased after Mr. Fang and caught up with him along the hallway.
Mr. Fang heard the rushed footsteps and turned only to see her rushing towards him. He knew that she was going to come close to him and he was avoiding that.
He had wanted to stop her in time, but Zhang Liling was heading over like a bull that had lost control and failed to stop in time.
Mr. Fang had to stand there with a wrinkled nose and a tight frown on his face as she came to a halt before him.
Zhang Liling failed to notice his change in countenance, as she was still trying to catch her breath with her head lowered.
Mr. Fang took this as an opportunity to escape from her, but he had only taken a step when she noticed his movement, and immediately blocked him from the front with her hands spread out.
"Mr. Fang, please give me a minute." She said a little breathlessly in between panting for air, with a tired gaze fixed on him.
