Chapter 408 First Morning Together
Waking up in the morning, the first thing that fell on Fang Bingwen's line of sight was the woman sleeping soundly in his arms.
Seeing her chest rise and fall repeatedly, he couldn't help leaning in to kiss her forehead.
"Wake up." He whispered as his warm breath fanned her cheeks.
The next second, Zhang Liling's lashes fluttered lightly before swinging open to reveal her sleepy set of eyes.
Seeing the man whose face was in front of her, it took her a little time to remember the scene form the previous day.
Their wedding and then sleeping together.
Recalling those wonderful moments from last night, a smile spread across her face.
"Good morning." She greeted as she bowed her head shyly.
Seeing her like that, Fang Bingwen wanted to badly tease her by asking her where her confidence had gone to, but knowing that those little things could be annoying and lead to something else like argument, he changed his mind.
Instead, he brought her into his arms the more and asked, "Are you hungry?"
His voice was gentle. So gentle that Zhang Liling doubted if it were possible for him to speak like that.

Was he acting this way because he was now her husband?
At least it was better than before.
He looked and acted more romantic than before and she couldn't be anymore happier about it.
To his question, she quickly nodded in response.
"Yes. Although I had the little food that was sent in last night, I'm still hungry."
The previous night, the housekeeper had brought in we food as per Fang Bingwen's order and in the middle of the night when they were done loving each other, they had eaten the food, clearing the plate in the process.
But now, she was very hungry, making her wonder what could be the cause.
"We did a heavy exercise. It is expected and normal for you to want to eat again by this time." Fang Bingwen replied while meeting her gaze.
"Do you call that exercise? Does it make you lose weight?" Zhang Liling inquired while staring intently at him as the corners of her lips curled into a smile.
She wondered if the term 'exercise' could be used on something like that.
Hearing her question, he brought his other hand to pay her waist under the duvet.
"It looks like you are not well informed in this area. You get to lose a ton of ounces when we do this kind of exercise."
"That means I can't get fat ever. Not bad." She trailed off as she turned her gaze away from in to sink into contemplation.
'I didn't mean that.' Fang Bingwen thought to himself.
Hearing her conclusion, he knew that she had gotten it all wrong, but as he did not want to continue down that topic, he decided to forget about it.
"You said you are hungry, you should wash up first."
Saying that, he touched the hem of the duvet about to move it away when the small hands quickly grabbed it.
"Honey, I think we should stay in bed like this for a 5 more minutes. It feels so nice to finally have the privilege to enjoy a moment like this." Zhang Liling said with an appreciative smile.
She didn't want them to separate so soon after waking up.
This was their first morning together as husband and wife and of course, she wanted to create memories.
"I thought you wanted to eat?" Fang Bingwen raised his brows in surprise.
"Food can wait." She replied as she moved his hand away from the duvet and brought it back to her bare waist.
"If you say so."
At last after spending a few minutes in bed chatting about some fun things, Zhang Liling's stomach could no longer handle the delay in being filled hence, it had to disrupt their conversation with a 'grumble' repeatedly until Fang Bingwen forced her to get out of bed.
"We can continue cuddling when next we get into bed." He said handing her the red night robe he picked from the floor.
Snatching it from him with a pout, she watched him pick up his pyjamas and wear them in front of her before making his way into the washroom.
By the time the couple were done freshening up separately and gone downstairs, a set of sumptuous breakfast had already been put together and served on the dining table.
From the stairs, Zhang Liling was already sniffing around like a hungry child the second she started to perceive the aroma of the food.
Coming down to the dining room with the man walking behind her, her eyes scanned the several dishes on the table with a wowed expression on her face.
"I'm going to eat a lot." She said as she shifted her gaze to the man that went to draw a chair out for her.
"Don't get indigestion." He advised and went to the head table to draw out a seat for himself before sitting.
"I know, thank you " Zhang Liling smiled and sat on the chair next to him before moving her gaze over to the dishes laid out on the table.
'Where should I start from?' She asked herself.
Seeing the way she was rubbing her hands and still trying to decide on the food to start with, Fang Bingwen shook his head.
'She would never stop surprising me.'
Saying that to himself, he picked up his cutlery as he made up his mind to pick out the dishes he felt she would like for her to start with.
Receiving the plate of food, Zhang Liling quickly grabbed Fang Bingwen's finger before it could leave her sight.
Bringing it to her lips, she kissed it and said while meeting his gaze, "Thank you."
Fang Bingwen was speechless as he quickly took his hand back the moment she let him off.
"Eat."
That was all he could say to her before serving some food for himself.
What kind of woman did he marry?
In any way, she wasn't one he had not studied for the past year and hadn't agreed he could tolerate.
