A few minutes later, Fang Bingwen left the house with a few things in his hands. He was going to meet the commissioner to tie the loose ends of this particular huge goal of theirs.
"Be safe! Call me when everything is settled." Zhang Liling said before he closed the car door.
"I will. Just go back inside and wait for me. Don't leave the house without telling me. I am afraid that Shi Wenqian will not only be busy swarmed up with the last minute wedding preparations." He advised.
He couldn't rule out the possibility of that wench attacking his wife since she feels that everything was coming to her with ease.
Nodding her head obediently, she watched the car drive away before going back into the house.
"Mum, is still sleeping by this time." She murmured to herself after checking the time on her phone. She still wanted to check with her about Zhang Mingyu's DNA results from before as she had heard something important from her before.

At the other end, as Zhang Xiaoling left Fang Bingwen and Zhang Liling's place, she didn't head to work immediately.
She was tired, nervous, worried and restless.
Thinking back to Zhang Liling's advise, she contemplated hard on it before deciding to make a call to her husband.
It was better she did her best to be truthful and at the end things don't workout, than for her to be caught guilty red in hand.
After taking a in a deep breath, she connected her phone to her car's Bluetooth before giving Tang Enlai a call.
On the first ring, the call was answered.
"Hey! Have you gotten to the company already?" Tang Enlai inquired.
Hearing the concern in his voice, Xiaoling held back her tears. Sniffing, she wiped her painful nose as she chose to ignore his question.
Trying her best to keep her brain afloat, she asked instead with her eyes on the road. "Whatever will happen from today onwards, will you overlook it and still be with me?"
It took almost a minute for Tang Enlai to respond. He was confused. 'Where was that coming from?'
After taking a little time to contemplate on her question, he asked, "Is there disturbing you? Why are you suddenly speaking this way, what is it?"
For the past few days, he could tell that there had been some changes around her, but he had thought that it was just her not feeling fine like she said to him.
But from the way she spoke now, he could tell that there was something deep bothering her. Did his mother say something to her when he wasn't looking?
"A lot of things has been going on around for the past few days, and I think I'm going to be swallowed up by it. I am so sick and tired of it all that I just want to disappear!" Zhang Xiaoling cried out as tears began to flow from her eyes.
Was she crying? At this point, she didn't even know that she had left her emotions out running.
As soon as her words reached his ears, he became alarmed. "Where are you? Tell me where you are, and I will come get you." He said immediately.
Looking around her surroundings, She answered, "I don't know where I am. I've been driving absentmindedly for some time now, but I think I'm almost out of the city."
"What do you see around you? Check the signboards. Also, share your GPS with me. Look for a good place, to park and I will be there soon." He promised.
Half an hour later, Tang Enlai arrived at a local restaurant that was between the city border and a local town.
As soon as he caught sight of her car, he sighed in relief.
Parking his own car next to hers, he went into the restaurant to find her.
Fortunately the restaurant was not so big, so once he stepped into it and turned to his left side, he saw Xiaoling sitting beside the window, lost in deep thought.
Stopping in front of the table, he called out to her with less worry visible on his face. "Xiaoling."
Hearing his voice from up close, Xiaoling raised her gaze to meet his. "You are here." She said with a red rimmed eyes.
Sitting from across her, he asked first, "Have you eaten?"
"Yes, I ate at Liling's place." She revealed.
"You went there?" Now, he was ready to hear about they has been bothering her.
"Now that I look at you properly, you seem to have lost a lot of weight. Your eyes have sulked inside. You don't look well. What has been eating up your mind these past few days?" He inquired.
Seeing her outside their home, has made him to notice slot of things and now, he didn't think he would ever leave without knowing the reason she ended up in that state.
Detecting the huge worry on his face, she stammered for a bit but getting a push from him to speak, she made up her mind. For better for worse.
Looking him in the eyes, she played with her fidgeting fingers which didn't go unnoticed by him.
"My mother, is not whom she really appears to be and in two days, her mask will be taken away. By then, nobody would want me anymore because I will be tagged the daughter of a criminal and a fraudster. Unfortunately, she is my biological mother so I can't escape the curses from everyone. They would all come for me and I wish I were dead. My stepfather would probably throw me out after my mother's betrayal is revealed. Also, your family would want nothing to do with me. And you, I don't know if you will still be able to look at me in the same light."
