Chapter 27: Chasing
Chapter 27: Chasing
As Alex enters the club, the armed gang members hesitate, unable to pull the trigger. It's as if the one who's heavily armed is not them, but the young man smiling before them. They all know the terrifying power of the White-Haired Mutant, whether from the three news stories that shook the world or from the recent incident where he smashed into the club, killing a few unfortunate souls and leaving the bodies of two security guards in shattered pieces. The power of the White-Haired Mutant is undeniable.
Seeing the gang members frozen in place, Alex sighs and lowers his head slightly, his face cast in shadow, revealing only the cold smile forming at the corners of his mouth. "Looks like I'll have to find him myself."
Unable to bear the pressure any longer, one of the gang members squeezes the trigger, firing wildly at Alex. The sudden gunfire startles the others, and in their tense state, they instinctively join in, shooting at Alex.
Bullets fly towards Alex like a storm, but they stop ten centimeters away from him, unable to penetrate the invisible barrier surrounding him. Witnessing this eerie phenomenon, one gang member recognizes it as the White-Haired Mutant's signature ability.
"We can't beat him. I don't want to die!" Overcome with fear, he drops his rifle and tries to flee.
Following the first fleeing member, the others quickly do the same. Knowing from the news how terrifying the White-Haired Mutant is, they understand that in his eyes, they are no different from insects, easily crushed regardless of their numbers.
Watching the gang members scatter in all directions, Alex grins. A massive repulsive force explodes from his body, sending the floating bullets back at an even greater speed than before. The bullets, traveling faster than the speed of sound, hit the fleeing gang members with deadly accuracy. In an instant, most of them are killed, while the few remaining lie on the glowing floor, writhing in agony.
Alex, unable to stand the sound of their screams, raises a hand and softly murmurs.

"Cursed Technique Lapse: Blue!"
A blue-black hole materializes, pulling in everything around it. With the technique now at Level 3, the black hole has grown several times larger, from the size of a basketball to a meter in diameter, its gravitational pull far stronger. It sucks in all the gang members, dead or incapacitated, and the screams are abruptly silenced.
Disgusted by the blood-soaked scene before him, Alex allows the black hole to spin rapidly around him, sucking in everything nearby. In the blink of an eye, the luxurious club vanishes, leaving behind only a massive, circular crater. At the center of the crater, Alex stands on the still-intact glowing floor, his back straight, right hand in his pocket, and left hand brushing through his smooth white hair. His eyes, a piercing blue, gaze upwards with cold indifference.
In the distance, the lucky survivors tremble uncontrollably as they hear the White-Haired Mutant, standing amid the rubble, say with a satisfied smile, "This is much better. I guess I'm just too kind—I can't stand to see human suffering."
The surviving guests are left speechless, thinking, "Does he even realize what he's saying?"
Alex continues onward. According to his Six Eyes, Kingpin has already fled some distance, but with Alex's speed, catching up won't be a problem. He takes a step, his figure disappearing from the spot, and reappears hundreds of meters away, now on a street.
Using his Cursed Technique Reversal: Red to create a repulsive force equal to gravity, he walks through the air, each step taking him dozens of meters forward. Soon, he spots a fast-moving armored car in the distance.
His Six Eyes glow brightly, allowing him to see clearly even under the harsh sunlight. Alex points his finger like a gun towards the armored car and says softly, "Bang!"
Inside the armored car, Kingpin sits in the back, his face a mask of determination. Even though the car's special armor can withstand rocket attacks, it offers him no sense of security. Facing an opponent like a god, only his years of steely resolve keep him from falling apart. Still, he knows the odds of escape are slim, but he has to try. They don't have no chance, after all!
Kingpin looks back with a deep gaze. "Let's hope the device we spent billions on works, or else..."
The armored car speeds up, boosters extending from the rear, pushing it forward even faster. Just as Alex is about to take Kingpin out, a sharp electrical sound rings in his ears. Suddenly, his energy becomes chaotic and uncontrollable, causing him to fall from the sky.
"What's happening?!"
As he plummets, Alex quickly regains control of his energy with the precise manipulation of his Six Eyes and prepares to stand in mid-air again. But then, he notices two figures rushing towards him from different directions.
"Hahaha, White-Haired Mutant, without your mutant abilities, you're just an ordinary man! Killing you will be my achievement!" shouts one of the attackers, known as Prowler. Meanwhile, another figure swings in on webs, shouting urgently, "Watch out!"
Realizing what's happening, Alex smiles mischievously, choosing not to use his repulsive force to stay airborne and instead allowing himself to fall naturally. At the same time, he notices the armored car in the distance has also stopped and seems to be turning back. 'Time for a surprise'
Spider-Woman rushes towards Alex, and just as she's about to reach him, she notices Prowler, clad in a black suit, pressing a button behind the White-Haired Mutant. The sharp electrical sound echoes again, and Alex, who had been floating like a god, suddenly stops, the black-red singularity he was about to launch disappearing, and he begins to plummet!
It's clear that the sound has done something to the White-Haired Mutant, leaving him vulnerable. Spider-Woman watches as Prowler, with his sharp claws, charges at the helpless mutant, his voice filled with cruel intent.
She accelerates, and just as Prowler is about to land a fatal blow, she kicks him aside, then cradles Alex, breathing heavily with relief. "Thank goodness, I almost didn't make it!"
Feeling the soft warmth of her embrace, Alex also sighs in relief internally, thinking, 'I almost missed out on the fun.'
