Chapter 43: Ending The Battle
Chapter 43: Ending The Battle
In just an instant, the majority of the Sentinel robots were easily destroyed by the White-Haired Mutant! The Sentinels couldn't inflict any damage on the White-Haired Mutant; even the space-based attacks, which Colonel Stryker had high hopes for, were completely ineffective, let alone the other weapons they carried.
In the projected footage, the White-Haired Mutant continued his slaughter of the Sentinels, moving like a ghost through the hail of bullets. Neither the space blades nor any other weapons mounted on the Sentinels could touch him in the slightest! The White-Haired Mutant was simply too fast. Even the most advanced targeting technology couldn't lock onto him, rendering most of the ammunition useless—merely wasted in vain.
Moreover, the generals present observed more details: the White-Haired Mutant wasn't deliberately dodging attacks, nor was he using that strange space defense ability. Now, he could withstand a barrage of bullets without a scratch, only using a mysterious purple sphere to nullify the space blades.
"His physical strength has grown to such an extent, and he has also mastered a new and powerful mutant ability, one that can even pierce through space!"
"If he can continuously unleash that purple sphere attack, he could potentially wipe out an entire city in just a few minutes!"
"Don't forget that the White-Haired Mutant has an energy absorption ability. If he has enough energy to absorb, he could definitely do it!"
"No, cancel the plan against the White-Haired Mutant. Not even a nuclear bomb can harm him anymore. He's grown to a level where we can't confront him directly!"
"Agreed!"
"Agreed!"
The generals all expressed their agreement.

Suddenly, one of the generals thought of something, "Quick, stop communicating with the media! If they find out that our plan has failed, they will definitely publicize it. The military's credibility will plummet!"
But a communications officer responded with a pained expression, "General, we've already notified all the media..."
Seeing the communications officer, the general's face turned pale; for the first time, he wished the soldiers weren't so efficient!
The other generals also heard the communications officer's words and realized what was about to happen: "Those relentless media will definitely find out about what happened in New Mexico and that our plan against the White-Haired Mutant has failed..."
"Pressure the media, forbid them from publishing anything about the White-Haired Mutant!"
"We can't suppress all the news; those journalists are crazy!"
As one general made the suggestion, another immediately refuted it.
The meeting room fell silent again. The situation had reached its worst-case scenario, and the generals began to regret launching an attack on the White-Haired Mutant.
Colonel Stryker, standing to the side, remained silent, his fists clenched so tightly that his nails pierced his skin, drawing blood.
He kept silently screaming a name in his mind.
Clearly, he would not give up on his plans against Alex.
Moreover, if he was willing to bear all the risks, these generals would definitely offer their support in secret!
Now that the Sentinels had collected more information on the White-Haired Mutant, once the Sentinels were further perfected, he was sure the White-Haired Mutant would no longer be able to cope!
...
All the ammunition that approached Alex was completely drained of energy, leaving him unscathed and instead providing him with a continuous influx of energy. Most of the Sentinels' attacks had no effect on him, with the only threat being the space blades.
However, with his enhanced vision, Alex could perfectly track them, and combined with the "Purple" technique that could nullify the space blades, the Sentinels, which would have been terrifying to most mutants, were nothing more than helpless targets in Alex's eyes!
Finally, with a swing of the black flash, accompanied by the burst of black and red lightning, the last intact Sentinel was shattered into pieces by the overwhelming force!
With that, all the Sentinels were completely wiped out!
He channeled the excess energy in his body back into the system, and the fusion with the character template increased again, now shockingly reaching 72%.
The energy required to increase the template fusion by 1% grew exponentially with each 10% increment. After reaching 70%, the energy needed to increase by just 1% was astronomical! If he were to rely solely on absorbing nearby electricity like before, even if Alex absorbed power continuously for months, it would barely increase the fusion by 1%.
Even after absorbing nearly all the energy from a nuclear explosion, it only boosted his fusion by 6%!
At this rate, even draining all the energy from an Arc Reactor wouldn't provide much of an increase to the system's fusion.
However, Alex's next target was no longer the Arc Reactor. His aim was the six Infinity Stones, especially the Power Stone.
Moreover, there were other sources of energy he could plunder, whether it be absorbing an entire planet's energy like the Celestials or tapping into artifacts like the Eternal Flame, all containing vast amounts of power for Alex to absorb.
So, he had no fear of running out of energy to unlock the template fusion!
In addition to this, Alex had other considerations. Since his innate abilities could be upgraded, what if he could also enhance portal creation like his teleportation? After all, just by initially mastering them, he could teleport to any place he had visited before.
In the movies, Spider-Man's friend Ned could even open a portal directly next to a specific target!
So, what level could an upgraded portal ability reach? Could it cross time and space? Traverse dimensions at will? Or even open gateways to other worlds?
Alex was excited by this thought. If the Marvel Universe existed, then other worlds must exist too!
If he upgraded a portal ability to a certain level and could open a gateway to another world, and if that world happened to be the one from Jujutsu Kaisen...
Then, using techniques even stronger than Gojo Satoru's to defeat him would undoubtedly be an extremely satisfying experience.
Especially if he could say that classic line in front of Gojo Satoru: "I alone, am the honoured one."
Just imagining it made his brain tingle with excitement.

After everything ended, Thor and the others began to approach. When they reached the edge of the battlefield, they saw the following scene: Dust and smoke filled the air, covering the entire world, with countless massive craters resembling meteor impacts scattered across the land, and the remnants of ammunition and missiles littering the sandy ground!
At the center, at the edge of the earth scar left by the terrifying purple sphere and in the middle of the crater created by the nuclear explosion, floated the White-Haired Mutant, familiar yet unfamiliar to Thor!
He seemed to be savoring the battle or perhaps thinking of something that brought him joy. At that moment, he covered his forehead with his right hand, looked up at the sky, and a smile slowly spread across his face, growing into laughter, and eventually into unrestrained, maniacal laughter!
