Chapter 199: True motive of the creed!
Pfft!
Lucien spat out a mouthful of blood as the rhinos rammed into him but thanks to the dragon scales he could endure the reduced damage but this left his body aching.
Bang!
Lucien's body struck the ground hard and his eyes felt unusually heavy but he couldn't afford to go to sleep right now! In a world where the enemy is the sole god here, Lucien couldn't afford to be lazy. He has heard of Anomalies of various types but he has never heard of someone successfully escaping it but that wasn't enough to kill his fighting spirit. Many failed to escape and even he is destined to die here, it doesn't mean he would just sit there and wait for death!
Boom!
Lucien barely jumped out of the way when the massive gorilla descended on his previous location. His body shivered slightly as he saw the serpent shooting towards him with what looked like a centipede burrowing through the ground as it charged towards him! Countless birds were hovering over them, leaving Lucien in a dilemma. The ground was not safe and the air was even worse. According to the little he knew about an anomaly, Lucien knew that an anomaly is a domain that is linked to the creator! As long as he can reach the edges of the anomaly and attack it, the bald champion realm master will take damage but then there is only one problem!
He was surrounded by hordes of spirit beasts of different forms and shapes! Leaving this place is almost impossible, not to talk of reaching the edges. As a fighter and one who never quits at that Lucien sighed and decided to pour all his strength into this final move. This is the ultimate technique of his Azure mode and he knew this act will leave him in a paralyzed state for a while, leaving him vulnerable!
Boom!
With no other choice Lucien let out a loud cry as his aura exploded violently but that didn't stop the beasts from charging towards him. Seeing this Lucien knew he had only one shot at this so he couldn't mess up even if he desperately wanted to.
Roar!
A terrifying growl could be heard as his aura surged upwards alongside the dragon Scales on his body! Above his head, they took the shape of a massive blue Chinese serpent dragon! Compared to it all the other spirit beasts looked like midgets and even Lucien looked like a rat beside its feet!
"Soar!" Lucien roared as he disregarded his safety and watched the dragon shoot towards the sky.

His eyes let out a bright blue flash as his muscles tightened and his body leaned forward before he struck forward.
"Azure dragon style: Roar of the Azure Dragon!" Lucien growled as he watched the massive beast let out a loud scream before releasing a massive beam of blue flames towards the sky!
Upon releasing the attack, the dragon slowly faded away just as Lucien's vision was fading. Everything was blurry and his legs were too weak to carry him. His body fell to the ground but not before he heard the painful cry of the enemy and regardless of the outcome now he was satisfied.
"I protected them just like I said I will... Emperor" Lucien muttered as his vision faded and he fell to the ground like a rag doll.

Lucien felt true peace for the first time in a while. It was completely dark and silent and any normal person would assume he or she is dead but as someone who has experienced death before, Lucien was sure death can't be this peaceful, especially someone like him who harbors the Rakuzen sign on his body. He waved his hands around his face and even though he could see it everything around him was pitch black.
Lucien was no fool to believe this was some sort of dream since he was well aware of what it felt like to be unconscious and sing Rakuzen has not yet tried to communicate with him so he concluded that someone else was messing with his mind!
"Show yourself!" Lucien said coldly and almost immediately he got a response.
"Your perception is quite high... Only one out of a million will notice the irregularities here and defend against them properly... Weldone kid" A voice echoed from the distance and soon a person came into view.
The person wore a pure white robe covering all parts of his body. He had snow-white hair and perfectly pale skin. His body gave off a strange chilling aura and his eyes were completely black.
Seeing this, Lucien realized that this person must have altered his Physical appearance but Lucien didn't ask why, he simply raised an eyebrow and the man chuckled lightly before he explained why.
"None may look at god directly... Have you forgotten those lines?" The man asked as well but Lucien wasn't buying it.
As far as he is concerned all the gods were trapped somewhere by Derik Angus and even they broke free they should be too bothered with their recovery before even considering dealing with mortals. That's if they can do that with the limitation of the god vein placed on them.
"You are no god..." Lucien said indifferently.
"Not yet... I am only a realm below the god realm" The man laughed lightly but Lucien's eyes widened as his body trembled terribly.
The realm below the god realm is the demigod realm and the only person who is said to be a demigod in this continent is the leader of the creed organization. Considering all of this, Lucien's gaze turned cold as he crouched while leaning forward slightly. He tried to summon the Azure dragon spear but nothing was responding to his commands.
"Chill, I mean no violence, neither did I come here to harm you" The man waved timidly as he spoke but Lucien wasn't buying this harmless image this man was trying to build.
"Even if you came to harm me I have no way to defend against someone of your caliber... I will only die a sad death" Lucien sighed as he decided to relax and let things play out.
"If I may ask, why are you after me? Why do you terrorize the continent? What do you aim to gain out of this?" Lucien poured out the first three questions that hit his mind.
Hearing this the man laughed and snapped his fingers, summoning what seemed two thrones and he sat on one while signaling Lucien to sit on the other.
"I have no ill intentions directed towards the continent... in fact, all I want is peace... As for why I want you, I believe you have a great destiny attached to this continent... We are unique Lucien... We are the only ones who can protect this continent from what is coming for us... I need everyone working with me" The man said calmly.
"Working for you!" Lucien corrected the man coldly as he sat on the throne and crossed his legs.
"You still didn't answer my questions... Why?" Lucien asked once again but this time the man remained silent and didn't smile or laugh. He waved his hands and created something like a silver cloud.
There he saw countless images of things he has not seen before. In these images were extremely shot humans with war machines he has never seen before. Then there were extremely handsome people with long blade-like ears. Another race was that of green monsters with inhumane body sizes, muscles, and more monstrous looks than humans. Amongst these people, he saw dragon-like beings but with human shapes. These people were from different races but Lucien has never seen them before.
For a while, he was momentarily stunned and unable to speak as his brain tried to process the information he just acquired. How can these races exist without him knowing about them, but they do not live in this part of the world, does that mean that there is another continent?
"What the hell is this?" Lucien muttered in shock and only then did the man smile.
" The future enemy... the invading force that will wipe out the entire continent... This is why you all need me... This is why the continent needs the creed..." The man said calmly but even then Lucien was not convinced.
He failed to believe that these people had any reason to attack their continent. If they have existed for so long, why did they wait till now to attack the continent? The two have never made contact with each other so why do they wish to attack their home? There were countless questions and Lucien didn't have the answer. The only one who had answers to all his questions right now is the man sitting in front of him. He could tell this man could easily manipulate the information to suit him well but Lucien didn't know why he felt like this man wasn't lying either.
For the first time in a long while, he felt confused!
