Chapter 29
C29 – Coordination
“I’ll lead the charge. Rip, we’re up!” Fu Tian spurred his horse forward, eager to set a strong example.
He couldn’t just be the big brother in name only! He needed to strut his stuff in front of the others!
But the Tortoise Spirit turned its head slowly, giving Fu Tian a look of utter bewilderment.
Tortoise Spirit was clearly lost.
“Why are you staring at me? Focus on that thing!” Fu Tian snapped in frustration.
The Screeching Hedgehog unleashed a furious roar and charged straight at Qin Hongyu’s Serpent Spirit.
“So it’s coming for me, huh? Alright, Little White, your turn—attack!” Qin Hongyu commanded.
Without a moment’s delay, the Serpent Spirit heeded its master’s call and lunged at the Screeching Hedgehog.

“Look at them, then look at you. We’re talking battle spirits here, and the difference is night and day!” Fu Tian lamented, scratching his head in resignation.
Tortoise Spirit bashfully tucked its head back in response.
“Great, now you’re upset because I called you out?” Fu Tian was at a loss for words.
Meanwhile, the Serpent Spirit had made its move on the Screeching Hedgehog but struggled to find a weak spot. The creature was a fortress of spikes with no obvious point of attack.
The Serpent Spirit’s abilities, Death Bind and Electric Shock, required close-quarters combat to be effective.
Nevertheless, the Serpent Spirit used its nimble movements to weave around the Screeching Hedgehog, seeking an opening.
“Rip, forgive me for this!”
During the deadlock, Fu Tian abruptly hoisted the retracted Tortoise Spirit and hurled it at the Screeching Hedgehog like a shot put.
The impact was sharp and clear, flipping the Screeching Hedgehog onto its back and exposing its vulnerable underbelly.
“Now’s our chance—target its belly with the electric arc!” Qin Hongyu seized the moment, barking out the order.
The Serpent Spirit unleashed its thunderous might, its body enveloped in a fierce electrical current.
Transforming into a serpentine bolt of lightning, it streaked forward, leaving nothing but a blur in its wake.
The Screeching Hedgehog emitted a series of agonized wails.
A massive jolt of electricity had left it momentarily paralyzed. It attempted to roll over, but seemingly due to the weight of its own spiny armor, it remained unsuccessful.
“Use the Fireball!”
Bo Miaojiao commanded, not waiting for the Screeching Hedgehog to rise.
The Fire Spirit inhaled sharply, and a fireball, carrying searing heat, burst forth from its mouth, targeting the Screeching Hedgehog’s underbelly.
The intense heat elicited a sound from the Screeching Hedgehog reminiscent of sizzling meat before it could even attempt to turn over.
“Thank goodness, that’s over. This Screeching Hedgehog is quite the adversary!” Qin Hongyu breathed a sigh of relief as the creature ceased to move.
Beside him, Tortoise Spirit peeked out cautiously, his face a mask of bewilderment as he gazed at the charred Screeching Hedgehog, then turned his gaze to Fu Tian in the distance, seemingly puzzled about why he had suddenly retreated so far.
Just when everyone thought the danger had passed, the charred Screeching Hedgehog suddenly stirred and flipped onto its feet.
At once, every steel spike on its body started to quiver intensely, as if on the verge of erupting at any moment.
