Chapter 36
C36 – Enemies Are Always on the Same Side
Fu Tian eagerly grabbed the card, grinning as he said, “Well then, I won’t hold back! RIP’s shell is going to be pretty tough to crack now.”
“Hand over that Poison Fang Card to me! And you keep the fire-enchanted card—we can’t use it anyway,” Qin Hongyu said, plucking a card from Bo Miaojiao’s hand with a smile.
“Sure thing! I’ll gladly accept it!” Bo Miaojiao cheerfully pocketed the sole enchantment card.
They had acquired this Spiritual Card from a Fiery Bird they had defeated. It was aptly named “Fiery Bird — Flame.”
After a brief discussion, the trio agreed to seek out a relatively safe spot to safely spend the remaining hour, hoping to steer clear of any unforeseen trouble.

“Look who it is—the three losers! They’re still not out of the game?”
As they were about to depart, a familiar voice rang out, followed by the sound of approaching footsteps. Four figures emerged, with Ji Buyu leading the pack.
“If a nobody like you hasn’t been kicked out yet, why would we be?” Qin Hongyu retorted with a smirk as he stepped forward.
“Hmph, still as defiant as ever. You might not grasp the gravity of the situation. If you know what’s good for you, hand over your Spiritual Cards now. Who knows, I might just spare you if I’m feeling generous,” Ji Buyyu taunted with a sneer.
“Brother Li, why bother with these Class D nobodies? They’re nothing but low-level battle spirits. Let’s just beat them until they’re begging for mercy!” a burly man in black bellowed.
“Exactly. No point in wasting words on these Class D weaklings. My scorpion spirit alone could take on all three of them!” chimed in a gaunt man with a sinister look.
“These folks are still my old classmates, after all. I’ve got to show some semblance of compassion. Let’s not be accused of ganging up on them. How about this, Qin Hongyu? You and I go head-to-head. Loser hands over all their Spiritual Cards. Do you have the guts?” Ji Buyu interjected, holding back his companions with a confident wave of his hand.
“Why wouldn’t I dare? If you’re here to bring me a gift, I’m more than happy to accept it,” Qin Hongyu said with ease.
“You have the audacity to brag in front of my middle-class battle spirit? I’ll show you what being truly invincible means!” Ji Buyu declared with venom.
The memories of the humiliation he endured in junior high never left him, fueling his desire for vengeance at any cost.
He had gone to great lengths to track down Qin Hongyu and his companions, all for the opportunity to shame him publicly!
“Low-level battle spirit, just hope you won’t be so thoroughly defeated that you’re scrambling to find your teeth afterward!” Qin Hongyu taunted with a cold laugh.
To Qin Hongyu, the distinction between low and senior-class battle spirits was meaningless. It was simply a matter of people not understanding the true nature of battle spirits.
Even if there was a real hierarchy between low and senior-class battle spirits, it pertained only to potential future growth. At the moment, they were all merely Infants. This misplaced sense of superiority was utterly absurd!
“Well, I’m about to give you a firsthand lesson in the gap between our strengths! Chi Hu, emerge!”
With those words, Ji Buyyu called forth his battle spirit, a fiery red fox spirit with the power of flames.
