Chapter 106: Level Four (6)

Level Four (6)

Journey toward Snow Island:

Early morning few teams got ready, they were leaving from the seventh exit of the Middletown. Every team has a map so if they don't want to follow others, they still could reach Snow Island wooden bridge.

This was the last badge of teams which was leaving for winter hunting. Total six teams were included in the last badge and mostly belong to the various other Guilds. Most of them were not acquainted anything of outer regions so they were not willing to make solo travel.

The winter has begun and the day was full of empty clouds, the light was sparse and the time limit for a whole days has shrank to the lowest suddenly, it was quite surprising for Qiao because in his world the winter does not immediately show it's signs especially the meridian time hours.

All the exits of the Middletown were safe but whoever crossed away from them then he himself was responsible for his actions and his life. Not all the exits were safe for example seventh exit. It brings a newer region of the continent with threatening life challenges. So the rules were written at the exit point clearly.

The seventh exit was supposed to be similar to the second or third but it was different, Initially Snow Island was part of the Middletown centuries ago and there was proper path for travel but when the monster came destroying everything in their way.

The path was cut smaller and narrow. The senior and stronger hunters broke the rocky path in smithereens decades ago and the big natural bridge between the Snow Island and the Middletown was also blasted by them. So the Snow Island got separated from the Middletown because the big lake runs down the natural pathway.

After they broke the natural pathway the monsters could not longer wreak havoc in the Middletown but another problem came. Now the hunters were unable to cross it and hunt in the Snow Island, this resulted another crisis. The monsters were free to level up and become giant so just after a century, they again were able to make a natural bridge with the help of their unique natural armors and stones and again Middletown faces the destruction. Few decades ago, senior hunters cleared the Snow Island successfully and they built a wooden bridge for hunting teams and set strict rules whoever wanted to hunt in the Snow Island.

Senior hunters were usually busy with sudden missions or solving problems in all the continents so they cannot let this Snow Island remain a bell of threat and increase their burden.

Now it was open for all type of teams who has level four team members in them. With the time the stronger merchandise opened their organization in the Snow Island to welcome those teams and provide their necessities of weapons, lodges and security in time of their rest.

Now the teams were standing in rows to cross the narrow path. Every team wanted to stand in first to witness the wooden bridge before others. "We better stand last, I have heard the lake beneath the wooden bridge can unexpectedly turn violent. When the water monsters see that the silver class teams were not guarding the wooden bridge, they would jump over the bridge and throw down whomever happened to be on the bridge.

So it was not wise if a team in it's ignorance start walking on it without the senior Silver Class gesture them to passthrough. This bridge was always guarded by the Silver Class two teams because monsters never forget their grudge and try their best to destroy this bridge because they bear some intellect with the level up and knew that this bridge was letting hunters reach Snow Island.

The first team was about to set feet at the wooden bridge when he heard the warning and stopped. A Silver Class team appeared and glared the newbies, "Didn't your Guild tell about the necessary information, don't you know the rules, how dare you go against it when you know the death awaits otherwise." The team leader of the Silver Class team spoke in a very authoritative tone.

The team members lowered their heads and didn't speak anything, it would be considered audacity of manners if they spoke anything. This guarding team has the authority to send them back with a strict report.

If the senior teams were responsible to provide security to the weak teams then weak teams should show some manners and oblige to rules. The senior took a deep breath and walked in front then he gestured his men to walk on distance on the bridge with their ready weapons. He himself brought out a stone which almost blinded the vision of the hunters who happened to look at it.

This stone was sign for monsters that a strong hunter was currently standing on the bridge and if they tried to appear then death was unavoidable for all the monsters. The stone was a spoil got from a level seven monster and it could instill much fear because they could easily sense the level of the beast stone.

"All the teams, chasers stand in a row and walk past the bridge." he ordered the teams and they followed. They could seen the restless monster beneath because they have clear notion why these chasers were reaching other side.

The snow was falling on their heads but they dared not to unnecessary move around. The lake beneath was moving with the slow pace while they could see the Snow Island from afar.

The monsters beneath the wooden bridge furiously moved inside the water and splashed it around. "They seemed very considerate, if it was someone else, the team would have been slapped on their faces possibly comparing to their irresponsible behavior." the team leader silenced the gossiping team members and spoke.

Being a team leader, he was equally responsible for his team so he warned them in lower tone.
