Chapter 18:
Chapter 18:
Thinking Time
Maybe my refrigerator dungeon was highly challenging. So sighed the front room.
A series of things happened one after another that made me think so. Things happened one after another that made me think that. Because the massive cockroach that looks like a boss monster is wandering around the dungeon, I want those boss-like monsters to use the boss room! I want them to be in a place like that and wasn't wandering around.
Other monsters like sick rats and giant slugs are inevitable without [Acid] skill. There is no way to heal if they're injured, and their firepower will quickly surround me without the [Acid] skill.
When I think about it, the monsters in the first basement level are slimes that drop [Acid] skill orbs making me feel as if this dungeon is the only one with a conscience.
However, just as I was getting used to this, a massive cockroach appeared unfazed by the acid attack. I felt I was in a malicious trap that would cleanly lift me up and then drop me.
But anyway, I could dramatically improve my level by defeating the massive cockroach, a difficult enemy.

Title
The Bug King
Each ability value is +100, and I got the title [The Bug King].
It seems that the super giant cockroach was the king of bugs, King Cockroach. I guess I got the title of [The Bug King] because my [Snatch] is working.
The effect of the title: "King of bugs" is unknown at the moment. However, I'm sure I'll find out something if I try this and that against the massive cockroach.
The drop from the king litter was a red magic stone the size of a softball and a set of large, hard outer shells. I put them at the end of the front room and shook my backpack upside down on a polyethylene bucket to drop the other drops.
Then something fell to the floor with a flutter.
"What's this copper plate that looks like a business card?"
I picked it up and took a closer look. I found a silhouette of a cockroach on its surface as if it were a shadow picture. There were also letters on it, but I could not decipher them because I had never seen them before.
"A cockroach card? Is it a monster card? If so, come here, cockroach! Whoa!?"
I half-jokingly and half-expectantly prayed that a cockroach would appear from the card, and sure enough, the card lit up, and a massive cockroach that had been on the fifth floor appeared. But I didn't want the massive cockroach wandering around the front room, so I wished for it to return to the card immediately, and it did.
Oh, cool. I felt like I was using a shikigami. Maybe the old Onmyoji are dungeon explorers?
Anyway, these are the items that I brought back from the fifth floor. And I lost my armor except for the shield I was wearing. And it was a total loss.
My rider jacket was shredded, and my armor made from PVC pipe was torn. It was not in a repairable condition.
"Oh, ho ho. I'll have to rebuild the armor again."
After removing the tattered armor, I went to my room to shower.
Then, in a calm state, I went to my notebook.
The bruises on my body were azure and yellow and left here and there, but fortunately, I survived without any major injuries. If I fought with the massive cockroach. I am sure I would not have made it out alive.
Defeating the massive cockroach also led to a discovery.
I'd like to name it the "Growth Filling Theory" and the "Life Energy Absorption Theory". Both of these theories are used to explain things related to level-up.
At first, I thought that level-up was an increase in ability value and that the corresponding increase in rank was an increase in level. The increase in ability is the main thing, and the level-up is the secondary thing.
However, in the first place, the frequency with which ability values increase in dungeons is strange. That is something that completely ignores the growth rate and growth limits of human beings.
Therefore, I come up with two new theories: the growth rate filling theory and the life energy absorption theory.
The growth filling theory states that the trained ability first has a growth allowance, which is then filled. For example, let's say that a person has a growth potential of +5 by training muscle strength. However, this +5 is only a growth potential, which does not exist now, and is only a possibility for the future.
But here comes the dungeon monster.
Dungeon monsters have what can be called life energy inside their bodies. And when they are defeated, they dissipate it. The dissipated life energy is then absorbed by the being close to the defeated monster, in other words, the person who defeated the monster. That is the theory of life energy absorption.
There is no doubt about this. I am sure of this because I have defeated a massive cockroach and experienced it with my own eyes.
However, it seems that there are different shades of this life energy. In other words, if the monster is as strong as the massive cockroach. It is so thick that I can see it. But for the normal monster, it's so faint I can't see it.
In other words, if the monster is as strong as the massive cockroach, its life energy is too thick and affects its ability values.
On the other hand, an ordinary monster's life energy is not that dense, so it can only work to fill the potential for growth at best.
If we trained IRL, our growth potential will increase. That is something that is acquired gradually over time. However, in a dungeon, we can instantly fill that potential growth potential in the form of the monster's life energy.
Hmmm. That is the secret of rapid growth and breaking through limits impossible for humans.
That is a very rough estimate. However, if I use the growth filling theory and the life energy absorption theory. I can explain why ability values grow at such a rapid rate, why they can grow without regard to the upper limit of their abilities, and why ability values increase rapidly as I level up, just like in a game.
In other words, if I understand the life energy absorption Theory and use the growth filling theory, I can become even stronger than myself.
Wow, this is exciting. I'm so excited!
.
Let's also think about skills and magic power.
Since I got the skill [Acid] from the slime on the first floor, I could use it without much trouble.
But why is that?
Maybe it is because I was a genius in magic. No, but that's not it. I think it's because I've always been familiar with the themes of magic and fantasy, and with works that take place in such settings.
Therefore, I could accept the technical skills, manipulate magic power, and handle them without resistance.
If I had to give a reason, it would be "Because I was an otaku".
I am an otaku with a spiritual side, I downloaded and listened to spiritual music on the internet that was supposed to bring me good luck in money.
Well, yes, I am. Think of a skill as a license to use it.
For the skill [Acid], I was allowed to use my ability to manipulate [Acid]. It is biologically and scientifically impossible for a human being to create acid in the air, but the power of magic makes it possible.
And who in the world would have recognized this? But whether it is God or the world's creator, I am only grateful to be able to use what I can.
Magic is energy. If the power associated with the body is stamina, then the power associated with the mind is energy and magic. I consider these two to be almost identical.
The difference is that mental energy is emitted outside the body and concentrated to the extent it can cause various events in magical power. While mental energy exists in the body and affects the physical body is energy. So, well, the source of power is the same.
The relationship between skills and magic power is similar to electricity becoming radio waves, sound, or light.
For example, in my skill, [Super Agility], when I thought of using it, I feel that I am consuming magic power, energy, and stamina. My heart rate also increases rapidly, so I am sure the instantaneous calorie consumption is tremendous.
Magic is the energy of the spirit.
Therefore, consuming it exhausts the spirit. If the exhaustion is light, it is only to the extent that the spirit becomes frayed. That may be the reason why the character of the witch girl is usually so tense.
A medium level of mental exhaustion goes beyond a feeling of frizziness and anger and usually makes one feel angry. It's like feeling you have not finished working overtime even though the last train is about to leave. That's how blue I feel.
However, I have yet to experience severe mental exhaustion.
Maybe I'll get sleepy, or worse, I'll pass out. Before that, my mind will be so exhausted that I'll stop using magic power any longer.
Perhaps it would be better to do it to raise the upper limit of my magic power, but it is dangerous to push yourself to the edge of fainting in a dungeon solo hunt. Therefore, even if you do it, it would be better to do it as a test or training in a safe condition after returning home.
The above is a discussion of the technical skills and magical powers that we are currently aware of.
Of course, this is not to say they are 100% correct. It is the most consistent interpretation as far as I can currently perceive.
So, I am sure as I learned more, we will make discoveries. That's enough for today. Let's try again tomorrow!
