Chapter 369: Domestic attack!!
She lunged at Blake with inhuman speed, razor-sharp nails raking across his chest. Blake stumbled back, more from shock than pain. He had to find a way to subdue Rose without hurting her, to drive out whatever was possessing her.
Before Blake could even regain his footing, Rose was upon him, moving with a speed that defied belief.
Rose's fist connected with the ground where Blake's head had been a split second earlier, leaving a crater in the earth. Soil and grass exploded outward from the impact, scattering droplets of morning dew. Blake rolled away, his eyes wide with shock.
'This isn't just enhanced vampire strength,' he thought, barely dodging another blow that splintered a nearby tree trunk, sending a shower of leaves and twigs raining down. 'It's something far more powerful.'
Rose's movements were a blur in the dim light, her attacks coming from seemingly impossible angles. A roundhouse kick sent Blake flying into Celena's flower bed, crushing the carefully tended blooms still covered in early morning mist. As he struggled to his feet, Rose was already there, her hand closing around his throat with crushing force.
With a casual flick of her wrist, she tossed Blake across the garden. He crashed through the wooden fence, reducing it to kindling. The noise echoed in the quiet morning air, startling a flock of birds into flight. Before he could even catch his breath, Rose was straddling him, her fist raised for a devastating blow.
Blake caught her wrist, muscles straining against her inhuman strength. The ground beneath them cracked under the pressure of their struggle, morning dew seeping into the newly formed crevices.
"Rose, please," Blake gasped, looking into those pitch-black eyes that reflected the growing light of dawn. "I know you're still in there."
For a moment, Rose hesitated. Then, with a snarl of rage, she broke free of Blake's grip and slammed both fists into the earth on either side of his head. The impact sent shockwaves through the ground, uprooting nearby shrubs and creating fissures in the soil. A small fountain of groundwater spurted from one of the cracks, glinting in the early morning light.

As Rose reared back for another attack, Blake saw an opening. He could have struck her, could have used his own considerable strength to subdue her. But the thought of hurting Rose, even in this state, was unthinkable.
'There has to be another way,' he thought desperately, rolling away from another earth-shattering blow. 'I have to reach her, the real her, before it's too late.'
As Rose charged at him, Blake's mind raced. He needed a way to restrain her without causing harm, something he'd never attempted before. In that split second, inspiration struck.
With practiced ease, Blake sliced open his palm, allowing his blood to flow freely. As Rose closed in, he focused intensely, manipulating his blood in a way he'd never dared before.
The blood shot out in multiple streams, each one splitting into countless smaller droplets. These droplets surrounded Rose in a spiraling pattern, then suddenly expanded into a complex lattice of thin, incredibly strong filaments.
The blood web enveloped Rose, wrapping around her limbs, torso, and even individual fingers. Each strand was as thin as spider silk but proportionally stronger than steel, designed to flex and give without breaking.
"I'm sorry, love," Blake murmured as the web tightened, immobilizing Rose without constricting her breathing or circulation.
For a moment, it seemed to work perfectly. Rose struggled against the bonds, but the more she moved, the more the web adapted, redistributing force to prevent any single strand from breaking.
Blake's heart leapt with hope. This was his chance to reach her, to break through whatever was controlling her.
But then, Rose's eyes blazed with an infernal light. To Blake's horror, flames began to erupt from her skin. The fire didn't burn through the blood web as he expected. Instead, it seemed to superheat it, causing the blood to boil and expand rapidly.
With a thunderous boom, the superheated blood exploded outward. Blake was thrown back by the force, his skin peppered with small burns from the scalding droplets.
Rose stood in the center of a scorched circle, her skin blistering and healing rapidly from the heat she had generated. The savagery in her eyes showed no concern for the damage she was inflicting on herself.
"Rose, stop!" Blake cried out, anguish clear in his voice. "You're hurting yourself!"
But his pleas fell on deaf ears. With a primal roar, Rose unleashed another wave of fire, ready to continue her onslaught.
As Rose launched her next attack, flames engulfed her entire body, turning her into a living inferno. With a feral scream, she unleashed a torrent of fire directly at Blake. Instead of dodging, Blake made a split-second decision. He spread his arms wide, accepting the full force of the blast.
The flames engulfed him, searing his flesh and clothes. The pain was excruciating, but Blake stood his ground, gritting his teeth against the agony. As the inferno raged around him, Blake realized his base form wasn't strong enough to overpower Rose's possessed state. With grim determination, he tapped into a power he rarely used – his "crying devil" transformation.
Blake's body began to change. His muscles bulged, his skin became more pale, and his eyes began to glow an intense, blood-red color. Red tears streamed down his cheeks, leaving trails of steam in the intense heat.
With inhuman speed, Blake surged forward through the flames. His hands, now tipped with elongated claws, grasped Rose's face. Their eyes locked, mere inches apart.
"Look at me, Rose," Blake commanded, his voice deepened and resonating with power. He focused intently, attempting to use the vampire's innate mind control ability to break through whatever was possessing his wife.
A hoarse, otherworldly voice erupted from Rose's throat. "DIE!" it screeched, as Rose's body convulsed against Blake's grip, her eyes trying to break away from his gaze.
