Chapter 28: Noob's Morning Routine
Chapter 28: Noob's Morning Routine
Shen sat on the bed, stretching his arm as he yawned widely. He stayed late, looking for solutions to his current predicament.
Unfortunately, Shen could not find any solutions for hunting a level 30 monster while still level 1. There was no such a thread on the forum. If he wanted to hunt a level 30 monster, he had to form a party. An excellent party had a chance to defeat the boss-level monster.
He read various kinds of formation and party composition for a raid. There were a lot of threads discussing such a thing. However, Shen could never realize that.
First of all, no one would want to party with him after his dark past was revealed by Volt. Even though many people took his side, that did not mean they were willing to party or help him in the game.
Second, he was in an unknown village with no NPC let alone a player. He could never have a party with him alone.
"Hah" Shen shook his head and got up from the bed. He reached for his phone and checked the time. It was eight in the morning. It was quite late for him, who always woke at six-thirty.
He threw the phone to the bed and headed toward the bathroom. He brushed his teeth and washed his face before he changed into sportswear, "Ah, I am not allowed to jog for a while"
Shen looked at his right knee and let out another sigh. It was still early in the morning, but he had sighed two times since he woke up. "This is a bad omen for my day," he muttered as he went out of his room.
He went to the kitchen to fill his glass with water. A glass of water in the morning and then he grabbed a mattress. He put the mattress in the living room.
Working out in the morning before he started his activity. This was his morning routine. He stretched out first for like five to ten minutes.
Then he started with twenty squats, twenty push-ups, and twenty sit-ups. It was a set of working out in the morning he made for himself. After he finished the first set, he would take a break for one to three minutes before starting the second set. It was better than nothing.

Shen could actually go to the gym, but he would rather save the money for food since he could do the workout by himself at home. Even though he was a noob, he could still sell the gear to the newbie in the game.
There would always be new players in the game. He could sell some stuff to them, not a big buck but that was enough to not spend his savings for his food, rent, and bills.
However, it was different now, he started a new game. He might not be able to sell anything until he could hunt the chicken or get out of the village.
Almost an hour passed, and he finished his six sets. He usually only did like three to four sets, but he finished six sets this morning.
Reaching his towel, Shen wiped out the sweat. Then he went back to the kitchen and drank another glass of water. While drinking, he tried to move his right knee. Working out was still doable for him.
"Working out is over, it's time to get some breakfast," He went out of his apartment and came down. Fortunately, the elevator was fixed.
There was a bun shop not far from his apartment. It was "Wen Bun". Quite famous locally, the people would stop by to get some buns before they got to work. Shen was regular to the shop as he at least would eat breakfast here five days a week.
"It's almost nine, there should be not many people there," Shen was humming as he went to "Wen Bun". The shop was just five blocks away from the apartment.
Sure enough, there were only a few people in the shop, "Yo, Shen! I thought you were eating at home," Uncle Wen, the Boss of the shop, waved his hand at him.
"Good morning, Uncle Wen. I woke up late," Shen looked toward the storefront, there was no bun left, "No more buns?"
"Your Auntie Jun is making more in the kitchen. Do you want to wait? The hot one is yummy, you know," Uncle Wen winked his eyes at Shen before looking toward the clock, "It should be cooked in five minutes, do you want to wait or you want me to deliver the buns to your room?"
"Nah, I will wait," Shen waved his hand as he stepped into the shop. He looked for an empty table and sat. As soon as he sat, a white cup was placed in front of him. Uncle Wen gave him the cup and sat across him.
"A free soymilk Thanks, Uncle Wen," Shen took a sip of the soymilk.
Uncle Wen rolled his eyes at Shen, "It's just 1 Yuan, and you still want it for free. You are young yet so heartless."
Shen grinned at Uncle Wen, both were so close that they could joke around. He then noticed a poster on the wall, it was a promotion poster of Tribe Online. Not only that, he noticed a familiar figure on the poster.
He placed the cup and came closer, "No wonder she's familiar. She's Sky's brand ambassador."
He was talking about Yue. He felt familiar with her because he often saw her on the poster. Yue was a brand ambassador for Sky, "She is actually a big shot"
"Are you interested in playing?" Uncle Wen asked as he noticed Shen was interested in the poster.
Shen shrugged his shoulders, "I already bought the gaming pod. Do you also play Tribe Online, Uncle Wen?"
"You can buy a 500 thousand gaming pod, and here you are asking for 1 Yuan soymilk for free," Uncle Wen rolled his eyes at Shen again, "I don't play it, but Shuren is begging me to buy him one."
Shuren was Uncle Wan's eldest son. He was a few years younger than Shen and should have entered the university this year.
"I heard that you can earn a lot playing that game, is that right?" Uncle Wen got closer and asked in a whisper.
"It's actually the same with normal work, Uncle Wen. If you are doing good at work, you will get promoted and a raise, but if you are doing bad, you will get fired. The game has the same essential, some players earn a lot because they are good, but many also don't earn enough even to cover their bills. Unless you have been playing the game for a long time, you can earn enough to cover the bills and to not starve."
Shen was sharing his experiences. He knew that Uncle Wen was asking his opinion whether to buy Shuren a gaming pod or not. He did not want to meddle in someone else's family affairs.
Shen shared his experiences and let Uncle Wen decide by himself if he wanted to buy his son a gaming pod or not.
"By the way, do you know there's a new malatang stall there, Uncle Wen?" He quickly changed the topic.
"Malatang stall?"
"Hmm, it's actually quite good" Shen told Uncle Wen the location of Uncle Hou's malatang stall. He had promised Little Witch Lin Lin to bring more people to her father's stall, after all.
