Chapter 61: Training Together
Chapter 61: Training Together
When Shen saw his friend come out of the house, he was relieved. He was relieved inwardly. He thought his friend would fail to inherit the legacy, but from Ming's expression, he knew that his friend successfully obtained the legacy.
"Sh- Runner, it is not an Archer, but Hunter," Ming complained to him as he approached Shen. He almost blurted out his friend's name but managed to hold back after noticing ZhenZhen who sat next to Shen. People rarely used their real name in the game with a few exceptions, him for example.
"Then did you refuse the legacy?" Shen realized the problem. Ming might not want the class that caused him to take a long time to come out.
"Of course, not. Why would I refuse a good class?" Ming shook his head, "But my class is Epic Potential not the Legendary Class like yours."
"Huh? I thought all classes are Legendary Class," Shen muttered in a low voice before he turned toward ZhenZhen. He did not ask her as ZhenZhen voluntarily told them her class, "Mine is Epic Class as well, Maybe only your class with Legendary Potential." She knew how important potential was, but for her, the potential did not matter. As long as she could cook, then it was fine.
"I am the lucky one, I guess?" Shen smiled in response. Not like he was trying to lie to Ming, but he chose his class because he was more familiar with the sword than other weapons. It turned out his preference got him lucky to obtain the Legendary Class.
"Alright, let's start working out. If I don't work out, my teacher won't teach me about cooking," ZhenZhen was eager to start working out. Different from Shen and Ming, she inherited the legacy but she did not have a single skill from the class but bonus stats in Dexterity and a little bit in Strength.

She thought that she needed to finish working out first before her teacher taught her about cooking.
"Oh, yes. My teacher also told me to continue the training with Yosu Legatee." Ming looked toward Shen, "Does your class name is Yosu Legatee?"
"Yup, that's my class!" Shen nodded and walked toward Yosu's house, "Follow me then, I will get you guys the necessary equipment for working out." They headed toward Yosu's house.
"By the way, what took you so long inside, Ming?" Shen was curious about what his friend was doing inside the house. Ming let out a sigh, "I have been listening to my teacher's story, about his glorious past as to how he hunted many dangerous monsters and his adventure."
"That's it? He did not test you or something? You just have to listen to his story?" ZhenZhen chimed in. She also wanted to know about the others who got their classes.
"Yeah, there was no test. I just listened to my teacher's story for more than half an hour before he offered me whether I want to inherit his legacy or not," Ming nodded and looked toward ZhenZhen, "What about you two?" He was looking at ZhenZhen but still asked about Shen as well, so not too obvious that he was trying to talk with her.
"My teacher asked a question and she agreed to take me in after hearing my answer. It's considered a test, I guess?" ZhenZhen told her what happened when he met with Cook Fiona. Then the two looked toward Shen, "What about you?"
"About the same as Ming," Shen replied while recalling the conversation between him and Old Yosu, "He told me why he could end up here, about his past and also one request. I was asked to spread his name to the world though I don't know how to do that."
"Same!" ZhenZhen also nodded, "My teacher also asked me to spread her name to the world, but my task is easier. I just need to write a book about cooking and spread it out." She smiled.
"Then we are all the same, my teacher asked the same thing." Ming nodded and turned toward Shen, "Oh, Shen, do you know that my teacher is related by blood to your teacher? My teacher grumbled that your teacher is the cause of my teacher being targeted by the City Lord of the Eternal Wind City."
"Oh, really? My Master did not tell me anything about his family being here," Shen shook his head. His Master said nothing about his family. As they chatted, they arrived at the backyard of Yosu's house.
Shen walked to the smallest stone-backpack. Yes, he called it a stone-backpack. It was similar to a backpack but made of stone and used to weigh their bodies in the training hence he called it stone-backpack.
"Because you are new, let's start with the lightest stone." Shen pointed at the stone that sized about their heads, "This stone weighed around three kilos. You will be okay with this, right?" He spoke to ZhenZhen, of course. He had a different stone-backpack for Ming.
ZhenZhen nodded as she approached the stone. The stone was not that big and heavy, she should be okay, she thought. She reached the belt and picked up the stone while nodding her head. This was still bearable for her.
"As for you, Ming. I don't know how far with your training, but two weeks" Shen walked to a bigger stone that was about a human's body size stone, "What about if we try with ten kilos first? You can increase the weight if you feel this was too light later."
Ming looked toward ZhenZhen who was trying to walk with the three-kilos stone on her back before he turned toward Shen back, he did not immediately agree with his friend's recommendation, "What about you, Sh- Runner?" He almost blurted out his friend's real name again.
"Me? My stone is around thirty twenty-five kilos, around that. I am not sure since there's no measurement and my Master never told me anything about the weight but he kept asking me to increase the weight." Shen was telling the truth.
"Woah, you run with twenty-five kilos of stone on your back?" ZhenZhen was amazed by Shen's dedication. This was just a game, why did he have to torture himself like that? 'But everyone is playing the game for different reasons, I guess? I am for my passion for cooking, and he has his reason too.'
Ming gritted his teeth and said, "Then get me the fifteen kilos stone. I am doing okay with fifteen kilos." The tone of his voice was confident that he would be able to finish the training with fifteen kilos of stone.
"Are you sure, Ming? You two have to finish at least ten laps to get the optimal effect," Shen advised Ming, just like a trainer teaching his trainee. He was well aware that his friend wanted to show off to ZhenZhen, but if he failed to finish the ten laps, it would be embarrassing instead.
"I am fine!" Ming ignored his friend's advice as he picked the fifteen-kilos stone. That was something he would regret later.
