Chapter 355: Bloom's Craziness
Chapter 355: Bloom's Craziness
Bloom's mind was now quite busy thinking about many problems. First he had the issue of this battle over the fort.
He knew it would take time for the enemies to come here. And he knew all these arrangements were meant to force his hands and make him lose his control over the fort.
But thinking about this goal of the enemy made him more stubborn about defending here. But to do so he had to prepare for the full out assault he was going to witness during the next few days.
The game world wasn't that troublesome for him. He could handle anything here even if a few losses would be acceptable. But the real world was the main issue.
He didn't know the scale of his enemy forces up there. He didn't know if his fortress would be ready by then or not.
Getting attacked in the real world with the threat of losing his life made him quite restless. There was another problem too. If he stayed there to defend the real world, then his enemy would time his attack to be simultaneous.
'So he will come at me from all directions at the same time,' Bloom muttered to himself, 'what would I do if I was in his shoes. But knowing that means good news to me in return.'
He knew the enemy wouldn't attack anywhere else until he attacked here. So he had a sudden flash of an idea that would help in buying him more time.
But he needed to hear the answer of the mercenary guild first.
Anne didn't take long before she opened her mouth and said:
"We can provide them with one percent worth of NPCs per day," she paused before adding with an alluring smile, "and we can add the rest on the last day of battle. Where do you want them to be distributed?"

"I want all of them to be stationed here," contrary to everyone's expectations, Bloom made such a weird decision.
"Here? Only here?" Anne asked again just to make sure she heard him right at the first time.
"Yes," Bloom nodded, "I want everyone to be stationed in the fort," he then turned to point at the distant walls before adding, "make them stand in lines over there. Make them fill the entire walls and take control of the defenses."
"..."
This time everyone was shocked to silence by his words. He didn't only ask them to stand here, but he also asked to be arranged in such a way.
"But..." even the all brawls and no brain king couldn't help but feel how wrong this arrangement was.
"Just do as I say," Bloom didn't give him a chance to continue before adding in firm tone, "as for those able to move to my world, send them to my guild location."
"Got it," despite not agreeing or understanding the arrangement of Bloom, Anne didn't object or refuse. After all she had a deal with him, not to take responsibility for what would happen to the forces handed to Bloom.
"Let's go," Bloom turned around while the other two exchanged silent gazes with each other. The two felt greatly puzzled by what Bloom arranged and hoped he was just bluffing.
As the three marched away from the guild, Anne couldn't help but show her true face. She seemed wiser and more dangerous than before.
"He is quite... interesting," she muttered before the old man appeared on a screen next to her.
"He has a plan in his mind," the old man said.
"It's obvious he does," Anne nodded, "but even I can't get a glimpse of his plan."
"But he can be fooling around, grandmaster," the old man bowed his head and spoke in veneration.
Anne wasn't a normal person in the entire mercenary guild. In fact she was the leading grandmaster of the guild.
She came all the way here to see by her eyes the person who had many rumors circulating around inside their world. Despite the objections of many, she realized she made the right choice by doing so.
She had first hand experience in dealing with Bloom. Now she realized that all the rumors aren't exaggerating. Bloom gave her the vibe of someone able to shake her entire world.
Someone she should ally herself with, not stand against him as an enemy!
"He has a plan," Anne said in confidence, "just keep our eyes around him. I'm so much interested to see what he wants to do and how he will win this."
"Win... He can't win such an open war!" the old man seemed to struggle to see what his grandmaster was seeing.
"Just do as I say," Anne grinned, "I'm sure he will stand against all the odds and win them all!"
As Anne had such faith in Bloom and placed such high expectations over him, the two walking by his side didn't share anything like that with her.
They thought Bloom was just putting a show in front of the mercenary guild and he had another plan in mind.
"Tell me you were just joking," Tony said while the king couldn't control himself anymore.
"This is stupid! How can we sacrifice such a card and make our enemies see our growing forces? They'll match our forces and try to be ready for them!"
Tony looked at the calm face of Bloom while inwardly wondering about what was going on inside Bloom's head.
"War is all about deception," Tony said before adding, "we should hide our new forces and let our enemy be fooled by our weak strength and unreadiness."
"Just do as I say and trust me on this," but Bloom didn't explain anything to them, "I know what I'm doing. That's all I can say for now."
He reached the central part of his fort. Gazing up at the vast landscape his fort occupied made him feel more desire to keep it.
"Also," he pointed at the walls before adding, "at night make sure you switch the forces on all walls. I want the enemies to see new faces each day."
"..."
"..."
The more he spoke, the more puzzled Tony and the king became. But before any of them could ask anything, Bloom took a ticket and added:
"I'll entrust you here. If anything happened, just message me. I'll be at my guild headquarters. See you later."
"Wait..." but the king was too late as Bloom already used the ticket and vanished. "Damn! He is acting like a crazy person now!" The king even kicked the rocks on the ground out of his frustration.
"He... is acting weird, not crazy," at this moment Tony started to have the same mysterious feeling like Anne.
"Don't act crazy like him," the king said in warning, "we need to mobilize lots of forces and make them stationed in hiding inside the fort. Damn! I shouldn't do as he said and keep everything well hidden."
"No, we should do as he asked," but Tony stopped him before adding, "but we must bring as many forces as we can. This fort is priceless for me."
"And for me as well," this time the king grinned in greediness, "I even will buy more forces and open my treasury. This fort won't fall in anyone's hands but mine."
"Ours," Tony laughed while correcting the king's words, "it's ours and not yours alone."
"Oh... yeah, if you say so," the king looked a bit embarrassed before adding, "I'll send my men to fetch more forces here. We have ten days to prepare."
"Yeah, we have time to better prepare," Tony agreed before looking at the distant sky, "but how far will he be prepared for this war?"
The king didn't get his meaning but Tony was wondering about Bloom. He wanted to see what this human was able to do, or was planning to do.
