Chapter 49
*PIUUUUUUU!*
The city was bombarded with antiaircraft missiles aimed at the flying naval fleets above it. From a distance outside the city, it was possible to see military helicopters flying up to the scene.
As the pilots of the helicopters expected at least a little damage, they stopped only to watch the missiles in action.
*BOOOOM!* *BOOOOM!*
When they came into contact, they exploded. Damage spread to the entire fleet, causing the four that had been hit to fall to the ground.
Defense mechanisms intervened on the other airships, however.
"Destroy them," said the captain of one of the ships.
The young man replied, "Understood." before leaping off.
The short dark blue hair on his head swayed in the wind as he plunged towards the missiles. His grasp never wavered from the sword tilt in it's scabbard.
The missile drew closer and closer with every passing second, until it was right beside him. In that instant-
Multiple slashes formed on them before they detonated.

*BOOOOOOM!*
It was remarkable that despite being caught in the explosions, neither a spot of dust nor harm could be seen on him, or on his black horns with blue tops.
[Target eliminated.]
"Well done. It appears that we have finally arrived. Now, let's claim this region for ourselves."
——————
The center of New York City, where one of the labyrinths originated.
From the labyrinth, a figure could be seen climbing out. Another young man with long black hair tied back in a ponytail and sharp purple eyes. Another amused expression could be seen on his face as he looked up.
*Whistle*
"That doesn't look good at all."

"Five steps ahead of us!" Instructed Violet.
Ice sprang up from the ground, piercing the zombie in the head, causing it to halt.
"Three to the left, four to the right!""""
The ice lances were launched in the appropriate directions, piercing the zombies and causing them to freeze.
It was pitch black. Aurora could only tell there was contact based on the sounds of their flesh being frozen and pierced as well as their groans.
Violet was using telekinesis to deal with the ones behind them.
She was Aurora's eyes. Despite the fact that she was closed with her eyes closed, she was able to feel the zombies approaching in the air thanks to her Esper's abilities. Despite this, she could only feel them, and she couldn't see anything.
Their pace was slowed by the fact that they were stacked with bags. In spite of that, they ran, and they managed to run it all the way to the entrance of the dome. The entrance which led to the main dome which was the path they would need to take to leave.
Or, to put it another way, they had to get past here before they could move on. It turned out that their cards weren't working as all the power in the domes had been turned off.
The door was made of reinforced metal, and regardless of how hard they pounded on it, the door wouldn't budge.
Aurora created a wall of ice around her and her doors, which prevented any more zombies from getting to them or getting near them. Whilst standing on a mound of frozen zombie corpses, they knew they had to hurry.
In the end, the wall of ice would only give them a very short amount of time, fortunately, Aurora still had energy left to spare, she was slowly learning how to use this ability more effectively.
Violet used her telekinetic ability to push the reinforced metal door open by smashing her palms against it. She felt the veins bursting out all over her arm as she pushed it open.
*Creak!* *CREAK!*
After a while, the door began to creak as parts of it began to slide to the side. Although it was very close to being large enough to fit them and the bags through, it was still a long way from being able to do so. In addition, there was also a risk that Zombie hordes would rush in as soon as she opened the door.
Due to the reason for this, Aurora was standing on the sidelines waiting for her signal to unleash her ability so that she could freeze whatever was standing on the other side.
On the other side of the door, the creaking noises grew louder and louder while the groans of the zombies echoed through the room. There was a gap large enough to fit a zombie's arm through.
Seeing a pair of glowing yellow irises in the dark on the other side of Violet's eyes, she widened her eyes in fear at that moment. At first glance it looked like a pair of eyes.
At the moment when she was about to step back and give Aurora the signal, a voice came from the other direction.
"Aurora! Aurora is that you!" The voice called out to her.
Aurora recognized the voice immediately and replied as soon as she heard it. "Lita! Yeah! It's us! Are you with your brother!?"
"Yeah! Gray too!! Step back from the door! Gray has been punching it for a while now!"
Violet did as she was told, quickly stepping back from the door. Just at that moment, the metal door suddenly swung towards them, before coming to a sudden halt inches away from Violet's face.
She sighed inwardly as cold sweat streamed down her face. As soon as the door opened, a faint glow illuminated the area around them, allowing them to see each other.
Gray stood in front of the group, his hair swaying to the flow of wind while he extended his hand to them. "Sorry I'm late."
He was flanked by Lita, who had watery eyes, and Kylo, who was asleep on the back of another woman. The glow of light had been coming from her hands.
With long wavy blonde hair and round oceanic blue eyes, she emanated a mature yet innocent aura. Seeing the bright light shining on her, highlighting her beauty, the first thought that came to their minds was-
An angel. She certainly resembled one. Her features were strikingly similar to those of Kylo and Lita, and the first thing Aurora thought when she saw them was-
'She must be their mother....'
