Pretending To Be God

Chapter 35: 10 Books

Chapter 35: 10 Books

He had stacked the books on the table beside his bed, and all 10 of them were regarding wrestling, something that really stood out though was the fact that book looked visibly cheaper than the other books in the library.

Most of the books had leather covers or at the very least hard paper covers.

But the books that George had received had a quality that couldn't even compare; it was just paper, and the quality of it also seemed to be very flimsy.

But from how well the book was preserved, he could tell that the book had not been read a lot.

'Wrestling is not popular huh?' He thought.

The worst part was that the book was written by the three-time World Fighting Champion, Legar Augustus; he fought against other former champions and was regarded as the Greatest Champion to have ever existed by the opponents that he faced.

But, to the public, his name was relatively unknown thanks to the media and news outlets in the empire controlled by nobles and martial art schools who had enough money to pay anybody.

George read every single book by Legar Augustus, and he could see that although the quality was not as great, the content was incredibly detailed, with drawings of how you should execute moves.

The techniques, although the name was different, were incredibly similar to the ones that he had witnessed in the NCAA wrestling championship.

"Lucky…" George whispered to himself as he took his big pillow and started using it as a dummy to fight against, mimicking the movements that he saw in the book and following the instruction to a tee.

He threw the pillow everywhere in the room with the techniques that he had learned. Although he was still not sure if he could use the same technique on a real person.

But as he continued reading, he stumbled upon a workout routine to increase explosiveness to increase chances of winning in a fight.

The more explosive one could be, the better one will be in wrestling, as seen by one of the Amateur Wrestling Champion Drock Reslear

Looking at the workouts that he showed, it all involved the smooth round stones.

He quickly changed his sweaty attire into fresh ones and walked towards the class gym while carefully looking at his surroundings.

He knew that the barbarian might not have forgotten what he had done to him, considering how much he had been humiliated in front of everyone by 'Oz.'

The last thing he wants is to be shown as weak in front of everyone because if he does, he will start becoming a target by the bullies.

As he stepped into the class gym, he could see many of the students who had exercised from the morning, it was about to be 8:00 p.m., and they were still exercising.

However, George gagged and, on impulse, jumped out of the class gym, trying to control himself from vomiting.

The floor had been drenched in sweat, and he wasn't even sure if he wanted to exercise anymore.

Akshar opened his eyes, but his vision still remained dark. "Oz… you trash!" He shouted while trying to get up.

But no matter how he tried, he found himself tied to something.

"This prick woke up? I thought he would be out for at least a week…" One of the doctors looked at Akshar, who was tied to the bed, bandaged.

"The barbarians man, they are certainly something else." Another doctor commented.

"No, but even for a barbarian, isn't this recovery too fast?"

"Let me go!" Akshar shouted; he regained a bit of vision, although it was still blurry.

"No can do kid, you stay here while we heal you up, and we don't want you causing any trouble."

Akshar grunted as he started moving, causing the whole bed to jump up.

"Whoah!" The main doctor took a step back in response to the sudden movement before turning to his assistant, "Hey, call in some of the instructors, before he gets out and beat us both up."

The assistant nodded before running out of the room, but the sound of the bed dropping and the rope tying the purist tearing caused him to turn back as he saw Akshar standing up and throwing the rope that had tied his body.

Slowly, Akshar's vision returned to normal, and he could see both of the doctors in the infirmary.

The doctors didn't wait and quickly ran as fast as they could, in which Akshar started chasing after them, only to drop right at the door.

His head was still in pain from all of the blunt attacks he suffered. And so he slowly stood up before exiting the door where he could see the doctors running after him with an instructor following them from behind, "There he is!!!" They pointed towards him.

Akshar ran as fast as he could, quickly turning, causing the doctor and the instructor to lose sight of him.

And just in a few seconds, they turned to where he did, only to see that he was no longer there. "Damn it!" The doctor cursed before the three of them continued running.

The rubbish bin that was right at the turn shook as they left the scene; Akshar crawled out of it with his whole body covered in trash and filth.

He strolled as he wiped off the trash on his body, and even though he smelt bad, the students that were there decided to just ignore him; there was no reason to get into unnecessary trouble.

"George FIRST…" He whispered as he walked towards the 1st year dorm.

"Ah!" One of the students who was getting out of his room in his gym shirt got back into his room as he saw Akshar locking his door.

Akshar had stalked George to his room, and so with the blurry memory of the incident that he had, he looked at the number that was stamped on the door. "77…" He whispered all over again.

As he reached room 77, he raised his curled fist, getting ready to knock on the door, before suddenly punch right to his jaw dropped him to the ground.
