Chapter 222: Loot & Decision
After a long time, the whole family was gathered in a temporary hut, eating and drinking after their successful raid, which allowed them to celebrate their success for a little while, even though it meant having more problems in their hands.
"Isn't this great after a long time?" Kiriah said, looking around at the assembled group of his sister, mother, Aunt Gundo and the other women including his own woman who was pregnant with a child.
"In a way, we haven't been affected at all despite our village getting destroyed. The weather might be the only thing that is different for us since we have to be extra careful when it is raining," he added, glancing at the boy whose eyes seemed to be staring daggers at Garnt.
Everyone noticed this strange blond-haired boy and knew he had some kind of a special relationship with Garnt, but decided to not talk about it unless Garnt himself started to talk about that topic.
"Is your village also fully destroyed?" Kara questioned her brother with her interest peeking up.
"No, but we can't keep mining unless we have food, and now that the main village won't send anything, it is not possible for us to stay there, so we had to leave and come here to find Garnt."
Garnt nodded his head approving what Kiriah did. "You have grown to be a well-sighted leader, brother. I'm proud of the decision you took"
Gundo and Ayra kept giving the food and drink to the family, while everyone enjoyed the little amount of happiness they got until Telvi opened her mouth to talk about the thing that had been eating her from the inside.
"Garnt, what are we going to do about my husband? He is under those travellers you keep mentioning and I..." She paused for a minute realizing it wasn't a great time to ruin the happiness of this little gathering with such a depressing topic, but when she heard Garnt's answer, Telvi could only feel happiness.
"I will do something about it. But before that," Garnt looked at his daughter, Guni, who was sitting next to a muscular woman, gulping down drinks while enjoying her huge piece of meat.
"Thora, can you feel it? Can you feel something strange?" Hearing Garnt's question, Thora looked at him confused at first but then realizing that she had been feeling rather strange these days, she decided to answer his question truthfully.
"Yes, it feels like something is asking me to come. Something far away is calling me to come and join it," It was a satisfying answer for Garnt from Thora, so he decided to tell her what he found so far, or at least what he suspected.

"I feel the same and let me tell you...I think it's because both of us have the essence of the meteor inside us. All of you saw those small pieces of the meteor that got attracted back to the sky right? I think it's because something big is going to come down sooner or later, and I suspect that it is going to be the meteor, the big one!" Everyone around Garnt gasped hearing what he said. read first at m,v,l,e,m p _y,r
"What are we going to do if something like that happens? That small piece did so much harm to us, but if something big is going to come-" Garnt had to stop Gundo from taking her imagination too far since he didn't want her to worry too much about it.
[It will ruin this land and might cause the extinction of a few living beings, but now we have the option of taking help from the so-called travellers or to be exact people from the earth that I came from. I still don't know whether this is the same earth, or the same timeline as one I would expect, but I don't want any of you to get harmed by anything.]
Eva muttered showing that she had indeed become quite attached to these primitive people, especially the boy that she had been there for since his childhood.
"Don't worry! I have a plan. I'm not going to allow anything to harm my family, by that I mean this whole village. There might be more humans in this land and I know there are because it is not possible for us as living beings to be such a small group, but before humanity, I have to care about the people I care about,"
[...]
Eva had nothing to say, as she was even more confused about what would happen to humanity on this earth if the meteor hit them and she had to question.
If this is really their earth, how did humans survive something like that, and whether the history she knew was flawed.
[Mia, you are my only solution now. You will take them with you, but I know your pride and hatred toward me won't do that easily, so I need something to convince you to do that, and I know it will be impossible, but I have no solution.]

"These guns, they are a real piece of work. I'm glad we had bullets in the truck that we looted; otherwise, we wouldn't be able to use them," Garnt muttered as he practised his aim with the pistol that he stole from one of the soldiers.
[That's true, but don't waste bullets. I don't think even Mia has enough bullets to deal with this problem. I know they're probably thinking they would be able to collect the meteor and quickly go back,] Eva cautioned.
Garnt looked confused for a second, but then he questioned Eva about how all these travellers came to their land. "Eva, how exactly did these people come here and bring all these things? Isn't my system of blueprints basically useless now that they've brought all this equipment that I'm supposed to build?"
[Long story short, they used the remaining part of the meteor to come here. In a way, they are the same as me, but in my case, both my physical and mental bodies are inside you, unlike Mia, who only had her mental body inside Baktou.]
She didn't stop there instead she kept answering all of his questions.
[About the blueprint system in your system, it is not useless because even Mia doesn't know how to build certain types of things that are needed for the project of properly using the meteor. We might escape a few eras now that we have these things, but that doesn't mean your system became useless.]
"I guess you're right, Eva. All the old blueprints that I didn't use suddenly disappeared from the system and currently, these items are not really something I understand." Looking at the menu, Garnt muttered while Eva agreed with his sentiment.
While they were busy conversing with each other about the future of the tribe, there was a blond-haired boy watching everything from far away while his hands were gripping the walls, as if he was trying to crush them.
"So that man is my father's enemy! But-but why does Mother act all friendly with him? She should have killed him when he first met this man," This voice of anger and confusion came from none other than Toga who didn't notice another girl looking at him while listening to his rant about Garnt.
"You can't do that. He is my father. Don't say mean things like that," Toga suddenly heard the voice of a girl, and he felt shocked to listen
Startled, Toga turned to see a girl with blond hair, her eyes filled with determination. It was Guni, the daughter of Garnt, reaching out to him without knowing the relationship she had with this blond haired boy.
At first glance, Guni felt weird seeing someone with that unique hair that belonged to her family, but she knew about the basics of genetics thanks to Gundo teaching her and knew it wouldn't be strange for someone else to have the same hair as them.
"Who...Who are you? Don't bother me." Toga muttered, his anger subsiding slightly as he looked at her because he knew this girl was not someone he could show his attitude toward.
She had the energy of a big sister, who will do anything to cheer up her siblings, but at the same time wouldn't allow any of them to play tricks on her.
Without another word, Guni took Toga's hand and began to lead him towards the others, her grip firm yet gentle. Toga followed, still processing the whirlwind of emotions swirling inside him.
"Where are you taking me? Answer me, girl!" He shouted, but Guni just looked at him and smiled.
As they approached the group, Guni smiled brightly, her blond hair catching the sunlight. "Everyone, this is Toga. He's... well, he's new here. So let's play with him."
Toga glanced at the faces before him, realizing that they were all siblings, connected by the man he hated. And as he stood there, hand in hand with Guni, he couldn't help but wonder.
"Why do I feel like I know these people?"
