Quick Transmigration The Prodigal Son

Chapter 13

Chapter 13

The Eldest Young Master's Gentle Wife (13)

Jiang Zhe found Father Jiang in the dye workshop looking at the newly dyed colours.

Father Jiang nodded slightly: "This colour is uniform and looks natural, not bad."

The shopkeeper was filled with joy, "If the Old Master said its good, then its definitely good."

Father Jiang: "Who dyed this cloth?"

The shopkeeper seemed to be waiting for this moment. He capped his hands, and shouted in one direction: "Li Niang, come out."

A woman dressed in a red cheongsam with a bun in her hair walked over leisurely, her slender high heels regularly tapping the ground, making a pleasant sound.

The woman bowed politely: "Li Niang has seen Old Master."

The shopkeeper introduced enthusiastically: "Old Master, this is Li Niang. Not only is she beautiful, her character is gentle and considerate, and she is ingenious as well. The cloth in your hand is dyed using her idea.

Father Jiang gave her a lookover, and praised: Its really good.

What kind of cloth is it, for Father to praise it as such. A low-pitched male voice suddenly rang out. Everyone looked around for the source, only to see a man wearing a pair of gold-rimmed glasses walking towards them.

The man was tall and jade-like, with wide eyebrows, sharp and handsome features, and a set of tightly-pressed lips, clearly showing the man wasnt good to provoke.

But Li Niang looked at that untouchable face, and her heart began to beat uncontrollably.

She clenched her hand. The pain from her nails digging into her palm made her recover a little bit of reason.

The shopkeeper laughed fawningly and greeted, "Greetings, Eldest Young Master. May I know if Eldest Young Master has any issues, for you to specially visit?"

Jiang Zhe first returned the greeting, indifferently saying: "I came to find Father."

Shopkeeper: "Oh, then this servant shall withdraw first."

Li Niang wasnt willing to leave. She stared at Jiang Zhe in a daze, her face slightly red.

This was the Eldest Young Master of the Jiang family?

He was actually so handsome and pure-looking. If she could follow this Eldest Young Master, even if she had to throw away her reputation, she would be willing.

So when the shopkeeper reached out to pull her away, she nimbly avoided it, and then deliberately said out loud: "Li Niang has seen Eldest Young Master."

She dipped her head slightly, her gaze lowered. The red cheongsam was fitted to her white and fair skin, better showing her graceful slim figure.

She knew, that her current image was the most bewitching and could easily arouse a mans interest.

However, Jiang Zhe merely said "en", and remained silent.

Li Niang bit her lips, and waited for a while, thick-skinned. Once she was sure that the Eldest Young Master really ignored her, her heart filled with shame, and her eyes were quickly filled with unshed tears.

She lifted her head, and let a tear fall in front of Jiang Zhes face, looking extremely pitiful.

Jiang Zhe frowned: "Why are you pointlessly crying?"

Li Niang was secretly happy, and was about to share her grievances.

Jiang Zhe: "Is it trachoma?"

Jiang Zhe turned his head towards the shopkeeper and said: "Bring her to the hospital for a check-up. If it is trachoma, give her two months' salary, and then recruit new workers."

Shopkeeper:

Li Niang:

Father Jiang:

Li Niang couldnt stand the humiliation and ran away with her hand covering her mouth. The shopkeeper quickly chased after her.

Father Jiang pursed his mouth. Looking at his oblivious son, he suddenly didnt know what to say.

Forget it, Cai Wei was a good woman. Zheer couldnt see things clearly; it was also good for him to guard only Cai Wei.

Its just that its already been a year, why is there no movement in Cai Weis stomach?

This thought only flashed through Father Jiangs mind.

He straightened his clothes and smiled, asking: "How did Zheer think to look for this father today?"

Jiang Zhe: "There are some things I want to discuss with dad. Let's go inside the house to talk further."

Father Jiang: "Alright."

Jiang Zhe slightly leaned over and held out his hand. "Dad, please."

Father Jiang swept his sleeves and walked in.

In the traditional and solemn room, the doors and windows were tightly shut, and the interior was dim. Jiang Zhe let the Shui Gen stand guard at the door, not letting anyone get close.

Father Jiang was inexplicably confused by his sons actions.

Father Jiang: "What's wrong, what happened?"

Jiang Zhe's thin lips pressed together tightly, choosing his words.

Father Jiang was not in a hurry either, and was even in the mood to drink tea.

Jiang Zhe: "I want to sell the shops under the Jiang familys name."

"Pu" Father Jiang spat out a mouth of tea. He looked at his son in disbelief, his eyes opened wide, What did you say?

Jiang Zhe looked serious: "I said, I want to sell half of the assets under the Jiang familys name."

Father Jiang couldnt hold his teacup steady, and the tea splashed on him.

However, he couldnt care less, a pair of eyes staring at his son: "Jiang Zhe. Do. You. Know. What. You. Are. Saying?

Father Jiangs every word and sentence was forced out through his gritted teeth. If it wasnt his son in front of him, he would have long chased the person out.

Jiang Zhe looked up and locked eyes with him, not hiding or avoiding, "I know what I am talking about, Father."

Jiang Zhe: "In fact, ever since I became familiar with the Jiangs family business, I have been thinking about this possibility."

Father Jiang stood up harshly, and said involuntarily: Why? This is the business that your dad started from scratch and worked hard to establish. Now, with one sentence, you want to sell them. Have you considered your old man, my feelings?

Jiang Zhe nodded seriously.

Father Jiang:

He felt that in front of his stubborn son, his dignity as an elder had suddenly disappeared.

He dispiritedly sat down, "Give me a reason."

Jiang Zhe: "Father thinks that the cloth from before was dyed well, right?"

Father Jiang didn't understand how the topic turned to this, but he still nodded.

Jiang Zhe: "Then, does Father know how much it costs to dye that cloth?"

Father Jiang frowned and thought about it. Based on his past experience, he extended a finger. After a while, he hesitated and added another one.

Jiang Zhe smiled: "Lets take it as one silver coin, but this is only the base cost. If we want to make a profit, then we must sell it for at least two silvers coins."

Father Jiang frowned silently.

Jiang Zhe: "However, three times the amount of such similar cloth can be bought for two silver coins from foreigners. Even so, they can still make huge profits."

Father Jiang instinctively refuted: "How can machine-made items be compared in the same context as traditional handicrafts?"

Jiang Zhe: "But Father, if it was me, between cloths of identical quality, I will naturally buy the cheaper one. Im only using it, why bother whether it was hand-dyed or machine-made? After all, once its made into clothes, I can still wear it just the same, isnt it?

TN: Oh my, is that a new future jealous woman for Li Cai Wei to handle? Or is it just showing how dedicated Jiang Zhe is to Cai Wei now? ?
