Chapter 26
Chapter 26
The secret space was quite spacious to begin with, and it became wider as Jing Yunzhao absorbed the contents of the Naling Jade.
Jing Yunzhao had only bought about one kilogram of seeds in total. Though the seeds she had purchased were not much, Jing Yunzhao knew that they were enough to make profit. For example, she had bought dang shen which was commonly known as ‘poor man’s ginseng’. She had just enough dang shen seeds to sow half an acre of the land, which would give her a return of about 100 kilograms of dried goods after harvesting. She would earn around 5,000 bucks from selling them even if she sold them at a low price of 50 bucks per kilogram.
With the convenience of her secret space, she could harvest any type of herb in no time and reap only profits.
Jing Yunzhao was pleased when she realized that a usual two to three year harvest only took twelve hours in the secret space, or two hours outside of the secret space. People would kill for such an opportunity.
That being said, Jing Yunzhao began to feel uneasy as she looked at the field of ripe herbs.

While selling the herbs planted in her secret space would be easy money, did it also mean that she would have to harvest tens of thousands of acres of land all by herself?
Jing Yunzhao was surprised as memories suddenly flashed through her mind. The Naling Jade had information about the harvesting of the land!
The complete information came to mind when Jing Yunzhao sharpened her focus.
The jade bottle was considered a rare treasure even in the foreign land that her ancestor came from. The space within was not like any other magical space which might contain only non-living things, and its area grew with the mental strength of its possessor.
For Jing Yunzhao, absorbing the contents of the Naling Jade was as good as boosting her brain power as well as her mental strength.
If she wanted to save herself the trouble of harvesting the herbs on her own, all she had to do was drip a drop of her blood on the ground to summon the spirit of the jade bottle, and it would take care of everything else.
Jing Yunzhao tried it out immediately. She pricked the tip of her finger and a drop of her blood fell to the ground, disappearing only to be replaced by a glowing blue light.
Jing Yunzhao took a few steps back warily, and suddenly realized that the glow was actually a bunch of little blue worms.
The worms were cute and pudgy. As if led by Jing Yunzhao’s blood, they started to wriggle towards her.
Jing Yunzhao began to wonder if these little worms that were only the size of her thumb could really help her with the harvesting.
As if sensing her doubt, hundreds of the light blue worms started wriggling towards one of the herbs. Some of them burrowed into the ground and some crawled their way up to the leaves, and in the end the herb was completely pulled out of the ground.
The little worms worked fast and the half acre of dang shen that Jing Yunzhao had sowed earlier were all harvested and placed neatly in front of her in the blink of an eye.
“Thank… Thank you,” Jing Yunzhao looked at the harvested herbs in disbelief and stammered her thanks to the little worms. The worms lined up before her and raised their small bodies up to bow to her. The little worms looked so adorable that Jing Yunzhao’s heart melted.
With them around to help, Jing Yunzhao felt completely at ease and she instructed them to harvest all the other herbs.
Since the magical space always kept everything fresh, Jing Yunzhao couldn’t make dried goods from her herbs within the space and would have to sell them fresh until she had enough savings to buy a house with a yard to dry them.
Meanwhile in the real world, it was only the second day after the three days that Jing Yunzhao had spent in her secret space.
Jing Yunzhao left the house only when it was time for school. Su Chu was waiting for her at the door while Gan Jinchen was still nowhere to be seen.
