Chapter 70:
Chapter 70:
Captain America exclaimed, "Where did Fang Mo go?"
Upon hearing Captain America's question, everyone paused for a moment. After looking around, they realized that Fang Mo was nowhere to be found. Tony couldn't believe it and flew into the air to take a look, but he couldn't spot Fang Mo. Reluctantly, Tony said, "Well, Fang Mo is indeed missing, and he didn't bring his wireless earpiece. At the moment, we have no way to contact him."
"How can he wander around at such a critical moment!" Captain America's anxiety was visible. After all, Fang Mo had demonstrated extraordinary combat power before, and his participation in this battle could have alleviated a lot of pressure.
"He must have his own ideas," Thor immediately explained for Fang Mo. "He is the bravest Midgardian warrior I've ever seen... I mean, sorcerer. Even if all of us joined forces, we might not be a match for him. I guess he might have gone alone to find a way to close the teleportation gate."
"I think so too," chimed in Tony. "Although this guy is usually infuriating, now... I suppose he's sneaking around, carving magic runes in the sewers, preparing to surprise us later."
"Alright," Captain America agreed. "Then let's split up and take action for now."
Soon, the Avengers team officially engaged in battle with the Chitauri aliens. Hulk and Thor became the main force, with Stark in charge of maneuvering and providing firepower support. The team coordinated continuously, managing to temporarily hold back the Chitauri forces and prevent them from expanding into other neighborhoods.
Meanwhile, Fang Mo, the God of War, was searching for the Avengers team that had traveled back from the timeline of Avengers: Endgame. In the original storyline, Thanos snapped his fingers in Avengers: Infinity War, wiping out half of the universe's population. Then, in Avengers: Endgame, the team decided to travel back in time to collect the Infinity Stones and reverse the tragedy.
However, Fang Mo had been searching for a long time but hadn't found the Avengers team that had returned from time travel.
"There really isn't..." After an unsuccessful search, Fang Mo stood on top of a building, lost in thought. "Could it be that because I killed Thanos in advance, the plot of Avengers: Endgame disappeared?"
Fang Mo didn't mind changing the plot; he just wanted to have some fun, especially considering that he didn't particularly like the plot of Avengers: Endgame. The original storyline had been quite unfortunate for Hulk and Thor. Natasha and Tony, two of the original Avengers, died, with one falling off Vormir and the other turning into charred remains from the energy of the Infinity Stones. Fang Mo couldn't fathom such a brain-damaged plot remaining untouched.

With these thoughts in mind, Fang Mo shook his head and flew directly towards the battlefield. However, when he passed through Bleecker Street, a person standing on the rooftop caught his attention. The person was wearing a yellow robe, had a bald head, and was standing on a platform on the rooftop, rubbing a magic rune.
In the next second, the person threw the magic rune in their hand, and it cut a passing Chitauri aircraft in half like a circular saw, creating a burst of fireworks in the air.
"Hmm? This is..." Fang Mo instantly recognized the location as 177A Bleecker Street in Manhattan, the New York Sanctum from Doctor Strange.
Usually, this place is surrounded by a magical barrier, unnoticed and inaccessible to ordinary people. However, since the Chitauri beings are semi-mechanical, magic has limited interference on them, and occasionally a few aircraft attempt to destroy this place.
And at this time, someone was leisurely protecting the Sanctum from the rooftop. It was none other than the Supreme Sorcerer, the Ancient One.
Fang Mo stared at the bald-headed figure below and pondered for a moment. Then, he slowly descended.
The Ancient One, as if having a premonition, looked up directly at Fang Mo. "Currently, all three Infinity Stones are in New York. You indeed know how to seize opportunities."
"Well, it seems that you do know about these things," Fang Mo landed on the ground. "So, would you mind answering my questions and enlightening me?"
The Ancient One didn't speak but instead brought her hands together. Instantly, the entire world seemed to be veiled, and the fleeing humans on the streets and the Chitauri soldiers in the sky disappeared. The chaotic and noisy sounds transformed into an eerie silence.
Fang Mo naturally noticed the changes around him. It was evident that this was one of the most practical spells of the Ancient One, the Mirror Dimension.
"So, are we going to fight now?" Fang Mo couldn't help but feel eager to try.
However, to Fang Mo's surprise, after the Ancient One opened the Mirror Dimension, she didn't assume a combat stance. Instead, she walked over to a nearby table and chairs and sat down. "Sit down and let's chat. What would you like to drink?"
"???" Fang Mo was also stunned by the Ancient One's inexplicable attitude.
But as they say, never hit a smiling person. Since the Ancient One had shown such a demeanor, Fang Mo couldn't bring himself to attack her right away. So he went along and sat down.
"Is it only red tea available?" Fang Mo asked.
The Ancient One produced a teapot from somewhere and started pouring tea.
"I know your purpose," the Ancient One slowly poured a cup of tea for Fang Mo. "I've seen glimpses of your future. You've bullied Strange quite a bit for the Time Stone. He's a grown man, but you've managed to make him cry several times."
"Huh?" Fang Mo was momentarily surprised.
But soon, he understood what the Ancient One meant. Yes, he did have the intention of collecting the Infinity Stones now. After all, they were like wish-granting devices, similar to Dragon Balls. Fang Mo had some ideas he wanted to try. However, considering Strange's stubborn personality in the original story, Fang Mo estimated that he wouldn't easily hand over the Time Stone.
If it were someone else, Fang Mo would just go ahead and snatch it. But Strange, this guy would always create a time loop at the slightest provocation and negotiate with you over and over again. Who could bear that?
"He deserves it," Fang Mo said after understanding everything. "If you can't bear to see him suffer, why not lend me the Time Stone for two days? I promise not to destroy the world."
"And if I say no?" the Ancient One asked.
"Then let me touch it," Fang Mo spread his hands, using threats and temptations. "But if you don't even allow me to touch it, then I can only let you experience something you don't want to experience."
The Ancient One leisurely took a sip of tea and then set down the teacup.
"I can negotiate conditions."
