Returning From The Magic World

Chapter 23 Surprises

"Let's go," Isabel said, she motioned for the two men to come over.

Arthur realized that she was actually quite drunk. She's just holding it in so it looks like she's still normal because if she walks around like a drunk and someone records her and then shares the video, it's going to be bad for her career.

Arthur immediately opened the car door for her, not waiting for the two men. He helped her into the car and got in with her.

"Arthur, please get some water from the drawer," she said.

Arthur moved quickly, leaning forward to retrieve the bottle filled with plain water in the drawer of the car.

He uncorked the bottle before aiming it at Isabel's mouth.

The latter immediately drank. She finished up to half the bottle. After that, she splashed the water on her face.

Phew!

She sighed and at the same time, the two men also climbed into the car. Arthur motioned for them to leave immediately.

And as the car started to move, Isabel dropped her head on Arthur's thigh who was sitting right beside her.

Considering that she worked all day, and then came to a party at night, it was only natural that she would be extremely exhausted. As soon as she closed her eyes, her breathing calmed down quite quickly.

Arthur touched her forehead, checking her body condition which fortunately was fine. She just needed a night's rest to be fit again.

However, he thought he needed to help her out a bit. On his fingers, a slick, pure, and cold spiritual energy gathered. He rubbed it on her head and massaged it gently.

Her forehead was furrowed for a moment from the massage, but the calmer expression in her expression made it clear that she was enjoying the massage.

Arthur continued to massage her while looking at the scenery around the street, he was like a person lost in thought, but actually, his mind was comprehending spells that he still didn't fully understand.

"Mmm!" His eyes widened, he was shocked when he saw the scene in front of him suddenly become a bit hazy. Before he could deduce what it was, he encountered a completely different scene.

Currently, he was sitting on a bed covered with golden silk. It is in a very spacious room. The floor is made of glass where underneath there is a pond full of beautiful fish.

Arthur didn't wonder what was going on for the time being because it was only a moment after the scenery changed that his vision became slightly blurry again.

He quickly glanced at the hourglass that was on the table beside the bed. Through the hourglass, he could conclude that only one day and one night had passed, just like on earth.

When the night street scene of Vera City returned to his vision, only then did he wonder what was going on.

He went to the magic world then returned to earth. Between the two, there is one thing in common, he did not leave in a dead state, he is still fully alive.

Just now, he returned to the magic world. Even if it was just a moment, he was sure it was real, not an illusion at all.

He couldn't help but investigate his own body which unfortunately found nothing suspicious at all.

His gaze then dropped downwards, looking at Isabel's sleeping face.

Since she was laying on his thighs and his fingers were massaging her head, he couldn't help but suspect this had something to do with her.

Of course, he also found nothing suspicious about it even though he scanned her entire body. She really is just an ordinary woman. If he wanted to investigate further, he needed to become an Official Magus first where his Spiritual Core was connected to his soul so he had the Inner Eyes.

However, even with the Inner Eyes, the results might not be that different considering that right now he didn't feel anything out of the ordinary.

One thing that was certain now was that he had two bodies and his consciousness was in the first body.

As for his second body, even if it didn't have his consciousness, it was still fine. It was still the body of a Great Magus.

Consciousness itself is something that is the highest of living beings. It is so mysterious that there is no definite understanding of it. It is said that it is only one, hidden in the soul. Even if the soul and body are destroyed, it will not be destroyed, forever existing.

'Or if this body of mine reaches a certain level, my consciousness can control both of my bodies which are in different worlds simultaneously?' he wondered.

He began to be overwhelmed with various feelings, one of which was excitement because if his consciousness could simultaneously control each of his bodies, it would mean he had two completely different lives. This was a different case with a clone or spiritual body, both of them would follow the path and rules of the main body and couldn't possibly be stronger than the main body.

His mind was only thinking about that so he didn't realize that the car had arrived at his yard.

The two men at the front looked back, they wanted to call Isabel but canceled seeing her asleep. They finally turned their eyes to Arthur.

The latter waved his hand saying, "you guys can go, I'll bring my aunt home."

They looked at each other before nodding and getting out of the car, leaving the yard on foot.

As soon as they disappeared, Arthur studied his aunt's body again, wondering how he was going to get her home. Waking her up from her slumber now might be too cruel.

Phew!

In the end, he sighed, holding her body with one hand while the other tucked under the elbow of her legs.

He got out of the car, headed straight for the front door of the house. He wished Carla and Bella were already asleep because he was worried that they would freak out seeing Isabel in that state.

Luckily, there was no sign of them in the living room. He stepped swiftly up to the second floor, towards Isabel's room.

When he entered the room, Isabel's eyes suddenly opened. She was surprised and said, "ah, so we've arrived..."

The bed wasn't far from the bedroom door, so it only took Arthur a few steps to get there.

Laying her body down on the bed, he said, "Aunt, you can sleep peacefully now."

Arthur wanted to leave, but stopped because his aunt suddenly grabbed his wrist.

"Arthur, just sleep here, accompany me," she said.

For a moment, Arthur's expression froze. He couldn't help but ask, "Aunt, do you want to drink some more water?"

He could tell that her mind was still a bit muddled from drunkenness or perhaps the effects of her drunkenness had just intensified.

However, she responded by shaking her head.

"Aunt, this is inappropriate," Arthur said. After all, he was an adult, even a Great Magus in the magic world. Everyone would laugh at him if it was known that he was still sleeping with his aunt.

"Come on, what's wrong with this? I sometimes have nightmares when I sleep at night drunk like this," she said, starting to force Arthur by tugging at his hand.

His guess seemed to be correct as her face started to turn slightly red.

Then, her other hand grabbed his shoulder, pulling him who wasn't using strength so he fell onto the bed. With a quick movement, she embraced him.

"Now, this is more comfortable, your body is really comfortable," she said, smiling faintly when she saw his face which was right in front of hers.

"Aunt, I have to go back to my room," Arthur said, trying to stay calm.

The beauty of her face made his mind a bit muddled for a moment and the warmth from her body somehow made him feel a strange sensation. It was a sensation that worried him.

"Please, at least stay with me until I fall asleep," whe said, this time with a pleading expression. She even tightened her embrace so that her breasts pressed against Arthur's chest, increasing the strange sensation in his body.

Arthur, who didn't want this situation to last any longer, finally cast a spell that could make her fall asleep instantly.

It worked and he breathed a sigh of relief. He quickly let go of her hug, sat up, then stood up.

After that, he turned off the light in the room before going to his own room.
