Chapter 52: Sneaking Out
Chapter 52: Sneaking Out
Lin Xiao ignored the look his brother gave to him and put down the sack in front of the house. He glanced inside, wondering why Wenren Yu didn’t come out like usual.
"Wenren Yu, are you there?"
"I’m on the back." Wenren Yu’s head popped out from the back garden. He was carrying a bucket in his hand. His eyes landed on the two sacks that Lin Xiao brought with him. "You’re buying supplies?"
"Yes. Help me out a bit. After this, let’s train."
"Fine."
The rice sacks were put into the house then Wenren Yu came with Lin Xiao and Lin Yun to the front. Lin Xiao explained that he managed to somehow learnt Moon Evasion skill while they were in the village not long ago.
Wenren Yu blinked his eyes. "It’s impossible for you to learn new skill so easily like that. If you can learn just from watching, there will be thousands of skilled cultivators."
"It’s true. Watch." Lin Xiao changed his stance. His mind was replaying how that third disciple, Hong, did it as his stance changed. It was only a split second movements before Lin Xiao suddenly moved a few inches away.

Seeing that, Wenren Yu felt his mind blanked. He obviously knew Moon Evasion because he had come to visit other sects in the past or they came for competition. Moon Evasion was one of the trademark skill of Yue Da Sect and normally wouldn’t be taught to outsiders so easily.
Besides, even if one could see the skill outside, they wouldn’t necessarily be able to learn it just from watching.
"That’s... impossible," Wenren Yu muttered.
Lin Xiao grinned. "It’s not impossible. Now, do you want to learn the skill too?"
Want?
"Of course!"
For the rest of the evening, Lin Xiao taught Lin Yun and Wenren Yu how to use Moon Evasion based on his own comprehension. It didn’t take long for the other two to be able to use the skill to move a centimeter away from their position.
While it might look small, if they used the skill at critical juncture, they would be able to evade their opponent’s attack. It might be a live saving technique when the time was right.
"It’s already late," Lin Yun remarked. "Let’s eat and rest, Brother."
"Sure."
Lin Xiao stretched his body to cool it down. Even though he wanted to practice all the time, he knew that it was important for him to divide his time between rest and practicing. If he didn’t take care of his body, he would break down very quickly and possibly got sick because of overwork.
Wenren Yu sat down on the ground and heaved a sigh. He couldn’t believe he learned Yue Da Sect trademark skill in just a few hours. It felt unbelievable that he managed to learn something like this in such a short time.
Looking at Lin Xiao, who was still contemplating, he shook his head. Probably, only Lin Xiao would be able to pull something like this.
"Do you know who come from Yue Da Sect?"
"The one who come?" Lin Xiao raised his head. He tilted his head. "I don’t know him, but he looks very powerful. He goes by the name Hong. Have you heard about him before?"
"Hong?"
"Yes."
"Surname or name?"
"I don’t know."
Wenren Yu furrowed his brows. There were several people with the same name or surname in Yue Da Sect that he knew. Thinking about the possibility of some of them coming here, Wenren Yu felt a bit trepidation.
Why would the three sects send important core disciple for such a mission?
"Wenren Yu?" Lin Xiao called out. "What are you thinking so much for? Do you want to go to the outhouse?"
Wenren Yu: "..." outhouse my ass!
Standing up, Wenren Yu looked at the direction of the village. All this time, he had been hiding here with Lin Xiao and Lin Yun. However, he knew that there wouldn’t be anything he could do if he continued to stay here.
He needed to gather information too.
"Let’s go to the village."
Lin Xiao arched his eyebrows. "The timid cat wants to visit the village? What happens to you, Wenren Yu?"
"I need to know the reason the sects send three core disciples to this remote area," Wenren Yu replied. "If my guess is not wrong, those three are supposed to be high ranked disciples even in the sect."
"Eh? They’re interested in this small place?"
"That’s why I need to find out more."
Seeing the rare determination on Wenren Yu’s face, Lin Xiao nodded. He was also bored being confined at home and wished to travel a lot. Since Wenren Yu had decided so, he would just tag along and help out a bit.
"Sure, let’s travel when it’s night time."
"Don’t you need to rest?"
"You don’t know the way to the village. If I don’t accompany you, you’re going to get lost and might never be able to return back anymore."
Wenren Yu pursed his lips and shook his head lightly. He looked in the direction of the village once more and sighed. Hopefully, his guess was wrong because he truly didn’t understand why they placed so much importance to this remote village.
But if that was true, it meant that they might need to leave this place as soon as possible.
Lin Xiao entered the house and explained their decision to Lin Yun. Even though Lin Yun didn’t like it, he only told them to be careful.
"Don’t get killed."
"Don’t worry, your brother is not that careless."
Lin Yun sighed. "Eat first."
"Yes!"
