Rise Of The Hoarder

Chapter 383 [Bonus ] The Chasm

[Moments Later]

As the last demon fell under the relentless onslaught of the Gifted Alliance, the battlefield fell silent, save for the panting breaths of the exhausted warriors.

Their battle-worn faces were etched with a mixture of fatigue and determination, their bodies covered in dirt, sweat, and the remnants of their formidable foes.

The ground, once a chaotic battleground, was now clear of demons, and they stood victorious.

The Gifteds gathered in front of a yawning chasm that seemed to lead into the very depths of the earth. The chasm's depths were shrouded in darkness, an ominous void that held untold mysteries and dangers.

Paul, Guildmaster Pariah, stepped forward, his gaze fixed on the gaping maw of the chasm. His voice, as always, carried an air of authority and determination.

"We've cleared the path this far, but our mission is far from over. Gather 'round, everyone."

The team leaders, Nye, Lisa, Tia, and Luke, along with the enigmatic Lilith, assembled before Paul, their faces reflecting the same mixture of fatigue and resolve.

They awaited his next orders with bated breath.

Paul began to lay out the next phase of their mission. "We're going to divide into two teams: the Elite Team and the General Team."

"The Elite Team," he continued, "will consist of myself, Lilith, and all the team leaders except Luke." Paul's gaze shifted to Luke, who nodded in understanding.

"Luke has volunteered to remain on the surface to ensure our safety and act as a contingency in case we encounter a threat from above."

The team leaders nodded in agreement, their trust in their leader unwavering.

Everyone stood in solidarity, all having absolute trust in their leader. This could have been due to his sheer display of power before all of them, reminding everybody of his strength, or the fact that they had suffered no casualty thus far.

Ironic as it seemed, a wholesome feeling filled the area.

Paul's eyes glittered with purpose as he revealed the plan. "Our objective is to venture into the depths of the chasm and conclude this week's scenario once and for all. We need to uncover the source of this invasion and put an end to it. Lilith, with her immense power, will be our guardian. The team leaders, each with their unique Gifts and expertise, will be the vanguard. We must be prepared for anything."

Luke, the leader of Omega Team, chimed in, "And what about the General Team, Guildmaster?"

Paul's voice held a note of gravity as he continued, "The General Team will be responsible for looting the fallen demons for any valuable Items, resources, or information. Additionally, they will guard the entrance of the chasm, ensuring our retreat remains secure. This mission will require the utmost vigilance and coordination."

"Understood. We'll make sure the entrance is secure." Luke, as well as everyone else who remained, nodded at his words.

Paul turned his attention to the entire assembly, his eyes sweeping over the faces of his loyal comrades.

"We've come a long way, and the path ahead is treacherous. But together, we will prevail. Our unity is our strength, and our resolve is unwavering."

The tension in the air was palpable, but it was matched by a sense of determination that radiated from the Gifted Alliance. They had faced countless trials and tribulations, and they were ready to face whatever challenges the chasm held.

With their plan in place and their roles defined, the Gifted Alliance prepared to descend into the dark abyss.

The Elite Team and the General Team would move forward, each with their own vital role to play in the ultimate mission to secure humanity's future.

[Meanwhile…]

Deep within the chasm, a sight both awe-inspiring and dread-inducing awaited those who ventured beyond its molten threshold.

Before them lay a colossal gate, its surface an undulating mass of molten lava that flowed and writhed like a living entity.

The intense heat radiating from the gate seemed unbearable, and its fiery glow cast a blood-red hue across the cavernous chamber.

Behind the gate, seated upon a grotesque throne adorned with the remains of his fallen adversaries, was a massive Demon of monstrous proportions.

His skin, a grotesque blend of crimson and black, seemed to absorb the very light around him. His eyes burned with malevolence, and his maw of jagged, obsidian teeth curled into a cruel grin.

This Demon, a lord of the abyss, had been waiting, his patience unwavering, for those who would dare challenge him.

He relished the thought of facing the foolish Gifted ones who would come his way, savoring the opportunity to crush them beneath his malevolent might.

But as the gate of molten lava shifted and groaned, a feeling of unease washed over him.

He sensed an intruder, someone who had passed through the scorching threshold and now approached his throne room.

"Hm?" He leaned forward, his eyes narrowing with anticipation, eager to lay eyes on the fool who had dared to enter his domain.

And then, she emerged from the fiery gate.

A woman with hair as silver as the moonlight, clad in pure white armor that radiated an otherworldly purity, stood before him.

Her presence was ethereal, and her aura spoke of power beyond measure. Her face was expressionless, her eyes pools of icy resolve.

"Who are yo—??!"

~BOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!~

Before the crimson and black Demon could react, a cataclysmic explosion rocked the chamber, a blinding burst of light and heat that consumed him entirely.

His monstrous form disintegrated into nothingness, vanishing in an inferno of destruction.

As the last remnants of the Demon dissolved into smoke and ash, the woman with silver hair remained unmoved, her expression unchanged.

'E-eh…?'

She had come, she had conquered, and she had obliterated the lord of the abyss with a power that defied comprehension.

'W-who… is this?'

"They should be on their way already…" He heard her murmur to herself.

What in the world was she saying? Who was this woman who had just easily defeated him, the Boss of the first week's scenario in a flash?

He didn't think he would ever get his answer!

The throne room fell into a stunned silence, the flames of the molten gate flickering and wavering in the aftermath of the cataclysmic explosion.

The woman with silver hair remained a solitary figure in the midst of the chaos, her enigmatic presence a testament to the unstoppable force that she represented.

The chamber that had once been the Demon's domain now lay empty and devoid of life, its tyrannical ruler reduced to nothingness.

Whatever forces had conspired to unleash this woman upon the abyss had wrought the end of a malevolent reign.

With her mission complete, the woman turned and began to make her way back through the molten gate, leaving behind a chamber of silence and desolation.

"I'm done with my part, Jeremy…" Her last words echoed as she vanished from the room.

"… The rest is up to you."
