Chapter 744 Some burns are nothing
Chapter 744 Some burns are nothing
While literally the entire capital of Mibothen had become a war zone, it couldn't be any different in the center.
Zylok was a very, very strong player, perhaps one of the strongest Evolved technically speaking, due to his class skill set. Even so, Zylok's strength paled in comparison to the power of Belial, the strongest demon.
In Muspelheim, just uttering the name 'Belial' is enough to make many souls tremble. As hell is an abyss in the middle of the desolate landscape of the kingdom of the fiery giants, many of the troubled souls in this world, even though they weren't hand-picked to suffer in hell, choose to face this prison with the promise that if one day they reach Surtr's feet, he will forgive them and throw them back into the world of the living, and some have even reached the first circle of hell, escaping and slipping between the circles, but no one has ever managed to pass through Belial's circle.
Knowing this thanks to the almost infinite knowledge contained in Alina's library, Kaizen also knew that Belial would be the one guarding the portal connecting Midgard to Muspelheim and that Zylok and Blood Lily would have to work hard to defeat him.

"He still seems to be growing, if that's possible..." muttered Bloody Lily, looking up.
A few minutes ago, Belial had created an avatar of fire around himself, a giant humanoid avatar with translucent armor of ethereal flame, but whose heat was intense.
Suddenly, Belial's flaming avatar advanced with the majesty of a fiery colossus, its thundering footsteps echoing through the devastated Capital of Mibothen, but it was slower than his own body, a price to pay for protection.

Zylok, agile as a night shadow, dodged Belial's first blows, the dagger in his hands glowing with a red aura. The flames seemed to dance around the vampire, creating a dark aura that contrasted with the intensity of the hellfire.
Trying to surprise him once again, Belial struck with a horizontal blow, a giant blade of fire slicing through the air.
When Zylok saw the blow, he almost didn't have time to act, but he turned at the last moment, narrowly avoiding the fiery blow, which only touched a few stones and turned them to dust. Zylok countered with a series of quick blows, his vampiric agility defying the very nature of fire. If he was quick, he wouldn't get burned so badly, at least that much he was sure of.
Bloody Lily, watching intently, felt absorbed by the choreography of the battle. Zylok's every move was a calculated dance, a fluid response to Belial's unpredictable movements. The intense heat permeated the room, but her magical blood barrier kept her partially safe, allowing her to enjoy the battle before her.
Belial, not content with just being a destructive force, began to conjure flames around him at every point he stepped. The heat intensified, enveloping him like a fiery storm.
Zylok, facing the challenge head on, plunged into the vortex of flames, disappearing for a moment. Blood Lily held her breath as she watched the scene. After a few seconds, Zylok emerged from the flames, his body enveloped in a gloomy aura, but with his left arm badly burned, almost in living flesh.
"He put those blue flames in random places in the middle of the fire. His control is surreal," thought Zylok aloud.
However, Zylok didn't have much time to think, because just then Belial tried to launch a black arrow in his direction. So the battle continued, a symphony of graceful movements and brutal attacks. Belial, realizing Zylok's dexterity, intensified his attacks. The demon launched a series of flaming arrows, each aimed at the vampire, and Zylok had to put on a show of agility, dodging, spinning and leaping between the flames like a shadow dancer.
Bloody Lily couldn't help but marvel at Zylok's skill. The battle, more than a fight for survival, became an expression of the skill and determination of the two combatants.
Belial, realizing that Zylok's agility was a real threat, concentrated his energy on a devastating blow, so that he could spread more fire and reduce his opponent's field of action. So the demon struck a vertical blow, a blade of fire descending towards the vampire. Zylok, with incomparable dexterity, slid under the attack, the flaming blade passing dangerously close to his hair and he passed under the giant's legs.
This unexpected action surprised the demon, meaning that Zylok finally had an apparent advantage in making an attack with no chance of defense.
However, a smile suddenly appeared at the corner of the demon's mouth and he shouted:
"You humans are such simple creatures! I left an opening in my defense and you, in all your arrogance, thought this was an opportunity! HAHAHAHAHA! Of course it's a trap!"
That moment seemed to be frozen in time, with the tension reaching its peak. Blood Lily felt her heart race. The fate of Midgard was at stake, they couldn't lose, but even for Zylok, when he saw the fire around him intensify as he passed between the giant's legs, he felt he had no chance.
However, while the moment was frozen for some, for one person it was the moment she acted unconsciously. Without thinking much about it, Bloody Lily raised her red sword and his sword began to transform into her bow, a long bow that molded like a liquid around her left hand.
Subsequently, she raised her right hand and blood from a cut on her forehead began to run down her skin, until it reached her palm and turned into an arrow. This was such a natural movement for her that she didn't even think about it, she just did it and when Zylok was a second away from not being able to escape and Belial's laughter echoed hysterically, an arrow hit the center of Belial's head, causing him to stop momentarily and thus giving Zylok time to escape.
