Second Marriage: My Strongest Bodyguard

Chapter 28 - Arrived To The Party

Dean stopped the car right in the hotel parking lot where Soraya and Johnny's wedding was being held. He immediately got out of the car and opened the door for Bryana.

Bryana immediately came out and stood beside Dean, then grabbed her hand, wrapped her left arm around her bodyguard's right arm while her right hand was carrying her luxury branded bag which was red commensurate with the dress.

Dean looked awkward as Bryana put his arm around her, so he hesitated to take a step.

"You're my partner, Dean. It's like this when you come to a party with your partner," said Bryana when she realized Dean's confusion. 'And so you know, I was shaking because I dared to embrace your arms because you were so insecure,' she thought slightly irritated.

"Oh, I see. I just found out because I rarely go to parties with my partner," said Dean a little nervously. His heart was beating faster and faster and he took a deep breath, inhaling the scent of Bryana's perfume that might now be sticking to his tuxedo.

Bryana and Dean immediately went into the magnificent golden yellow hotel. they walked towards the hall which was on the ground floor where there were several bodyguards at the entrance.

"Please give the invitation, Ma'am," exclaimed the dashing bodyguard wearing a black tuxedo with a gray tie.

Bryana let out a rough breath. "I am a close friend of Soraya, you shouldn't need to deposit invitations like this," she said as she took the invitation had prepared in the bag earlier, then handed it over to the bodyguard.

"Thank you, Ma'am," said the bodyguard.

Dean just glanced silently at some of the other bodyguards, smiling warmly. He was so friendly to the men same with his profession.

"Come on," Bryana shouted again, embracing Dean's arm and walking into the ballroom which was already very crowded with guests from high-profile circles, as well as among Johnny's company employees and father Soraya's employees. there are also Bryana's friends who are also Soraya's friends.

Bryana smiled at the party atmosphere that was so beautiful. White beach-themed decorations with decorative chandeliers are so magnificent and luxurious located in the middle of the hall, chairs, and tables wrapped in white cloth and there are ribbons on the shoulders of the chairs, and decorative flowers on each table.

The thing that made Bryana even happier was Soraya who was standing there with Johnny to greet the guests. Her friend was wearing a white dress with open shoulders, a blooming waist down, her hair in a bun and decorated. Her best friend's husband looked so charming wearing a black tuxedo with a bow tie commensurate with his black tuxedo.

"Let's go over there," Bryana exclaimed.

Dean only responded with a nod and immediately followed her lead. he glanced at the grand atmosphere of the party and the sound of romantic music that echoed through the ballroom added to the impression of the excitement of the atmosphere.

"Soraya," Bryana said as she almost arrived in front of her friend.

"Bryana, you finally arrived," replied Soraya and then hugged Bryana for a moment. She glanced at Dean who was now behind Bryana smiling at her.

"You asked him, he's handsome," whispered Soraya and then took her hug to Bryana.

"Because he's the only one close to me," Bryana whispered back a little so that Dean wouldn't overhear her. She turned to look at Johnny who was smiling at her.

"Congratulations on your marriage, I'm really happy to see your side by side with the legal status of husband and wife," she said.

"You also have to catch up. I feel sorry for you if you stay widowed for too long," said Soraya, glancing at Dean for a moment, then looked back at Bryana.

"Ah, that ... I'm waiting for the right partner to come for me," Bryana replied with a shy smile, raising her voice a little so Dean could hear that she was waiting for a new partner.

"The lucky man who can get you like I feel very lucky to have got Soraya," said Johnny, who looked so sincere in love with Soraya. She glanced at Dean who he might think was Bryana's lover.

"Ah yes, I hope so," Bryana replied and then glanced behind her several people were waiting in line to experience the bride and groom. "Then, I'll go there first."

"Don't come home before the game starts," Soraya exclaimed as she glanced at Bryana, who was embracing Dean's right arm.

"Oh yeah, of course, I'll wait and follow the game," Bryana replied with an amused smile. Because she wondered if she would be able to find Dean among all the men who would wear the same mask. The woman glanced at all the male guests wearing the same black tuxedo suits. it seems that it has been stipulated in the theme of the party.

Bryana and Dean immediately walked to the table where several types of drinks and food were available.

"Do you want a drink?" Bryana asked as she released her arm around Dean.

Dean just nodded in response. he couldn't deny that his lips were dry and wanted to crush Bryana's sexy and red lips. The soft-touch of her hand seemed to still make an impression even though it had been released a long time ago. The man felt increasingly infatuated with his employer.

Bryana fetches drinks for her and Dean, while Dean waits on a chair near the table for the guests.

"Dean, you were invited too," said someone from the right side of Dean.

Dean immediately turned his head and saw someone earlier. it turns out that she is Kareen who looks so elegant wearing a white evening dress but looks simpler and not too sexy like Bryana.

"Kareen," said Dean with a smile. "I came to accompany Mrs. Bryana," he said.

"Waaw, he asked you to accompany you?" Kareen looked surprised and her smile began to fade.

"Yes, I did ask him to be my partner," Bryana shouted from Dean's left. She came with two red wines for her and Dean.

"Oh, I see." Kareen smiles at Bryana, giving her the impression of respect as boss.

Bryana seated on Dean's left, then glanced at Kareen who was still standing on Dean's right.

"Are you invited too?" Bryana asked dryly.

"Yes, ma'am. because Mr. Johnny had been my boss for several months," Kareen replied and then glanced in the other direction. "I have to excuse, to meet the bride first," she continued.

"Oh, of course," Bryana exclaimed with a smile. because she didn't like it when Dean was approached by Kareen who was already closer to Dean than she was.

'I can't let her get close to Dean, she could just be my competitor,' she thought with a sneer at Kareen who was walking towards the bride and the newly arrived Monica.

Dean noticed Bryana who always seemed cynical when Kareen chatted with him. 'Is she jealous? Ah, no way. I can't go overboard with this feeling.. Maybe she was being nice and seemed to be affectionate with me just because I was her partner at this party,' he thought.
