Chapter 177: 177. So You Don't Have A Wife?
On the ground below, the mage fought with his dignity on the line.
'Why you…!' Soma cursed his opponent who seemed to be going easy on him.
"Take this!" He fired a volley of fireballs at the orc.
However, the brute wielding a huge club was suddenly nimble as a cat. Even though some fireballs hit this orc, his high magic resistance and regeneration allowed him to take the hits without suffering.
"Wrag… Gakeuk Chsoo…" Saying something in Orc language, Soma's opponent licked his lips and suggestively waved his fingers at the mage.
Hearing it, the other orcs laughed loudly. Soma's anger boiled as he had a pretty good grasp of what this damn orc might mean with those gestures.
He remembered the talk he had with the Orc Shamaness, who was smugly sitting on a wooden high chair right now.
"How flattering. A human such as you wants to mate with us lowly monsters?"
As Soma fought, the scene from earlier vividly played in his mind.
The shamaness had translated his 'request' to her tribe members inside the hut. Of course, heated arguments rang out immediately.
Some orcs were enraged while some were amused. A few tribesmen came up to their shamaness and told her about their opinion on this matter.
"We orcs value strength above everything else. The victors get to choose what they want from the losers, of course." Shel stood up and pointed at a fit, short orc with her bell staff
"This warrior is willing to fight you. In case he loses, he shall lend you his most beautiful wife for a night!"
Soma had been taken aback by this. But remembering what happened next made him feel bitter.
"But what do you, a human, have to offer for our warrior if you lose?" With her stony brown eyes, the Orc Shamaness gazed at the adventurers behind him.
Shel's sight fell on the two female adventurers, Leilia and Kay. And she asked, "Do YOU have a wife to lend?"

"Haaa! Wind Shield!" Soma hastily chanted and blocked the heavy club which fell toward him.
As he was running out of mana, the magical barrier didn't last long under the onslaught of the orc's attacks.
"Ack!" The shield broke and a minor shockwave swept Soma tens of paces away.
His body felt weak and a thin line of blood leaked from his mouth. Soma wiped it with the back of his palm.
The orc roared. Soma could see, with blurry vision, how the ugly green giant drooled and ran toward him like a bull.
Disgusting.
"Soma, don't space out!"
"He's closing in on you!"
Surrounding the battleground, the other six adventurers tried to warn him. They could see the earlier attack had hit Soma's head, making the mage space out for a bit.
Soma held his wand and pointed at the incoming orc while trembling. His blurry vision slowly restored and he again found himself in that hut.
"So you don't have a wife?" Shel asked.
"No, I-I don't…"
Soma felt pathetic answering that. He had nothing to offer. The mage could sense his friends' restrained laughter. Ears turning red, Soma's lips trembled.
"Uorc… Heoak sugeol menarv bezekte…" A giant orc who smelled dirty stepped forward.
Hearing him, the other orcs showed complicated expressions. Shel looked at the overly buff warrior and nodded.
"He wants to fight you. If you win, you may choose any one of his daughters."
"Woark… Gagaga…" The orc smiled at the blonde mage and rubbed his fingers, acting in a friendly manner.
"If you lose, you don't have to give him your wife." The shamaness shrewdly narrowed her eyes and bit the ring pierced through her tongue.
"Instead, our Zeag'ak here finds your hairless, smooth skin and thin body very attractive."
"Kekeke…" The orc licked his lips and checked out the mage.
Soma took a step back and noticed a huge bulge on the sickening orc's half-pants.
"Aaaaaa! Fireball! Fireball!" Soma pointed at his opponent who was extremely close to him.
If he lost, he would be literally fucked. He should've never agreed to this. Never, never, never!
[Fireball]
The magic this time hit the orc's muscular chest. Zeag'ak had to back away and shield himself with his club.
The spaced out mage had finally snapped back to reality. Like a frightened pup, Soma retaliated endlessly while running away from the orc.
"D-Don't come near! Aaaa!"
Flying above with the homunculus, Jake finished listening to Shel's narration. He didn't feel sorry for the mage.
Soma had agreed to it, after all. Though that was really pathetic. As he observed the battle, Jake couldn't help but laugh out loud.
That immediately made everyone look above. The orcs as well as the adventurers noticed two people floating above the battleground.
"It's him!"
"But who's that woman? She isn't wearing any panties…"
Among the adventurers, Vorden and Gerald recognized Jake's face first. Then the orcs also remembered him.
Everyone stood up as Jake and Fiona descended toward the Orc Shamaness.
"Keep the battle going," he ordered in monster tongue, seeing a 3rd Circle Orc trying to interfere.
"Venerable Earl." Shel'al stood up from her chair and crouched below Jake.
By now, the orcs had learned that this was the 'deity' their shamaness prayed to get her powers. More lies, of course. But that immediately made these brainless brutes worship Jake.
"You may call me master from now on. Stand up."
"Yes, master." The shamaness lifted her heavy ass and stood straight.
She brought Jake to her chair and made him sit on it. Shouting at some orc girls whom she considered 'tender and youthful,' Shel told them to bring feather fans and fruits for the deity.
Jake comfortably spread his legs on the finely carved wooden chair and leaned back, observing the battle. Fiona came behind him and placed her soft palms on his shoulders.
"Daddy, that human is losing. Can I take his place? I want to be hit by a club too!"
"You'll just make that orc run away. Sit behind and watch for now," Jake replied telepathically.
On the battleground, Soma breathed heavily while keeping himself a considerable distance away from Zeag'ak.
The mage knew he had run out of mana. He was feeling an inexplicable sense of dread seeing the drooling orc.
Earlier, he was overjoyed when Jake had come. But that man didn't stop this battle. Why? Why?
Shouldn't he help another human?! Why must he side with the monsters? Soma glanced at Jake.
He could see the sexy Orc Shamaness crouching below that man. She was massaging Jake's legs. There was another pretty woman massaging his shoulders from behind.
'Why couldn't it be me instead?'
The mage felt jealous as he saw half naked orc girls nearing where Jake sat. Their curvy assets jiggled as they walked.
"Hot damn…" The mage moved his head up and down, then suddenly realized his grave situation.
He immediately turned around, stunned to see that his opponent had closed in on him without making a sound.
"Kekeke…"
The orc jumped at Soma while swinging his club high. As the mage looked above, fear made him lose his footing. And he couldn't help but piss on the battleground.
"I'm fucked…"
