It was half an hour later when Li Xianyu found her sitting on the pavement on the side of the road, all alone and clutching her knees. Her eyes reflected the bright city lights, but she appeared lost.

The setting was akin to a pitiful girl who had just fallen out of love: beautiful, but all alone.

Li Xianyu looked at her long legs. She was still clutching her knees. From the back, her legs were straightened, and there was a fair amount of skin underneath her skirt.

The city’s vibrancy had caused her to lose her way as she walked. The environment was foreign. The world, although things were still the same, had been replaced with different people. 150 years had passed since her era. The world was big, but only her current great-grandson fought on the same side as her. Just him.

This was the extreme form of loneliness.

She was still spiteful, refusing to answer Li Xianyu’s calls. There was only one thing she could do: to sit by the roadside and daydream.

Li Xianyu, who had walked long distances to find her, finally had a burden lifted off his shoulders upon seeing her. Great-Grandma, despite spending long periods of time to cultivate all her terrifying powers, was akin to a normal girl now due to her powers having been sealed. If she had met a lustful bandit, she would not be able to resist. At most, she would only have the means to shout, “Stop!”

“Great-Grandma...” Li Xianyu called out to her as he approached her.

Great-Grandma ignored him out of spite.

Li Xianyu sat beside her and said, “I’m sorry.”

Great-Grandma turned her head towards the other side.

Li Xianyu scratched his head in desperation. He knew how to pacify women, having been experienced in these types of situations. However, these techniques were inappropriate to be used on Great-Grandma.

After all, which great-grandson would pacify his great-grandma with sweet talk?

“You’re different from the rest.”

After a long bout of silence, Great-Grandma suddenly told him these words.

“Who?”

“My other great-grandsons.”

Li Xianyu replied with cheeky lyrics, “We are different, but the same. We’re all wearing green military uniform.”

“They wouldn’t dare to speak to me in this way, including your dad. When they saw me, they regarded me as some ancient treasure and treated me with the utmost respect. They followed whatever I said and served me unconditionally,” Great-Grandma said.

“Maybe I... don’t know anything about supernatural powers?”

Li Xianyu’s mind began to paint a picture: his own ancestors kneeling like lackeys at the feet of Great-Grandma, while they chanted, “Please make me powerful, please make me fly.”

Great-Grandma then let out a hysterical laugh...

He thought to himself, No wonder you’re such a spendthrift now.

“Not only this.” Great-Grandma continued, “They didn’t peep at my chest and butt like you. You’re unfilial and not cute at all.”

Li Xianyu was taken aback. She had taken notice of this?

Great-Grandma turned around and continued angrily, “I don’t want to live with you anymore. I want to go back to the bead and wait for the next generation.”

Li Xianyu asked, “How are you going to do that?”

Great-Grandma replied, “I’ll tell some old man to seal me up.”

Li Xianyu said, “Consider again?”

“There’s nothing to consider.”

“Alright then, let’s talk about this later. Let’s eat first.”

“No.”

“It’ll be nice.”

“Hmph, my family was a noble family back then. What delicacies haven’t I tried before?”

“You’re really not eating?”

“Even if I starve, die in an accident outside or get sealed up, I won’t eat.”

Growl... As she finished her words, Li Xianyu heard her stomach growled.

Great-Grandma had no words.

Twenty minutes later, they were at the open-door balcony on the second floor of the restaurant.

The night winds blew at the plants placed on the balcony. The environment was bright, as Li Xianyu sat opposite of Great-Grandma, separated by pineapple rice, chicken coconut soup, lemon fish, curry chicken, as well as two cups of fresh orange juice.

The pineapple rice was crisp and refreshing, and brought about a sweet, aromatic scent.

The coconut chicken soup was fragrant and thick, and provided a pleasant sensation upon entering the mouth.

The lemon fish was tender and soft, which further pampered the palette with a slight acidic touch from the lemon.

The curry chicken was in a league above the rest; it was a dish that Li Xianyu considered necessary to be ordered.

Great-Grandma, who had claimed to be a rich man’s daughter from over a hundred years ago, devoured the delicacies on the table at an alarming rate. She stuffed her mouth full with pineapple rice, then proceeded to ingest a scoop of coconut soup and a piece of curry chicken in a fit of greed.

The other diners by the side turned towards them, each one of them getting startled by the way this pretty girl was eating.

“Is it nice, Great-Grandma?” Li Xianyu laughed and remarked.

“Nice, nice...” Great-grandma muttered back as she attempted to eat more and more. When she could no longer stuff food into her mouth, she picked up the orange juice and took a mouthful.

“Is it fragrant?” Li Xianyu continued to tempt her.

Great-Grandma replied with a big grin and nodded, “So fragrant!”

Ladies and gentlemen, the outstanding, determined, and upright Great-Grandma.

Li Xianyu smiled in a sinister manner. “Great-grandma, when are you calling the old man?”

Great-Grandma froze as she looked at the delicacies on the table. She looked away and replied, “S-Some other time...”

Li Xianyu struck while the iron was hot. “I think you shouldn’t go back to your pearl... but we need to make some ground rules.”

Great-Grandma looked at him. “Hmph, since you’re so sincere, I’ll hear it out.”

Li Xianyu began to state his conditions. “You’ve seen my conditions. I’m poor. You can continue to play games in the future, but you can’t spend money on it. Also, your expenses cannot exceed 100 dollars per day.”

Great-Grandma threatened, “I want to go back to the bead then.”

Li Xianyu retorted, “Make the call then.”

Great-Grandma replied in rage, “This great-grandson, unfilial and disobedient.”

If she were to go back into the bead, she wouldn’t be able to eat these delicacies, or play those games anymore...

She looked at Li Xianyu cautiously, but he was unmoved. She stuck out her fair, white finger and gave him a thumbs up. “Let’s add a little bit.”

Li Xianyu: “How much is a little?”

Great-Grandma tested the waters as she remarked, “One thousand dollars?”

“To hell with you.”

“Five hundred.”

“Fifty more, at most.”

“You’re so unfilial and disobedient.”

Hence, her expenses were limited at 150 dollars daily.

Li Xianyu felt proud of himself for doing what his ancestors did not manage to do: which was to keep a small girl in check.

His phone started to ring to the tone of “Exaggerate”.

Li Xianyu saw that the call from Old Master Qin. His return call was way overdue.

“Li Xianyu, I consulted the finance department. They said that there was no mistake, the card had 200,000 dollars indeed.” Old Master Qin’s voice reverberated through the phone.

Li Xianyu looked at Great-Grandma, who continued to devour food at will. At present, she had eaten the lemon fish, while she slurped at the fish soup and pineapple rice. He adjusted Great-Grandma’s hair, which had fallen in front of her face. As he did that, he sighed and spoke into the phone, “Sorry, I made a mistake.”

Old Master Qin digressed, “Have you considered joining Baoze Group?”

Li Xianyu quietened down, as the sexy yet formidable images of Qingqing spread across his mind, as well as Xu Wei’s corpse being carried away.

Although he was able to rappel and climb walls like Spider-Man, as well as shoot at enemies using guns, he feared danger and the prospect of death.

Although he had only just been exposed to the new world, he knew that a new kind of danger and chaos existed within it. It was only exemplified by the deaths of Zhang Mingyu and Xu Wei.

Li Xianyu stuttered and replied, “Let me think it through again.”

Old Master Qin replied decisively, “No problem, give me a call when you’re ready.”

As he hung up, Great-Grandma was almost finished with her meal. She took out a piece of tissue paper and elegantly wiped the oil stains off the sides of her mouth. She noticed his worries and pouted, “Don’t be a scaredy-cat. I’ll protect you and make sure you dominate the demon descendant community.”

Li Xianyu chuckled. “You’re so good, but why couldn’t you save my dad?”

Great-Grandma was rendered speechless. She snorted at him arrogantly, and turned around to ignore him.
