Chapter 120: Level Gap
Chapter 120: Level Gap
Sol leaves the peddler twenty gold coin richer, considering there was five of them then each of them got four gold coin.
Even though they did not know how much a gold coin was worth, they still welcome it, money was always welcome.
"Sol, you are really good with people, you could easily get almost twice than his first offer," Jennie praised him.
"Eh? I did that?" Sol asked then laughed awkwardly as he did not really do anything to raise the price.
The other was not as simple as Jennie, they had their suspicion that the peddler just offers thinking it because of the rarety of a titan body and end up rising it himself.
Of course, they also did not believe that Jennie was actually such a simple girl that she did not notice Sol's awkwardness.
Jennie had told everyone that she tried to swindle Venus, the Goddess of beauty, there was no way that someone who could think of a way to swindle a Goddess to be a simple girl.
Out of everyone there, Sol actually warry of the black haired girl who looked innocent, Jennie always trying to look simple and easy-going, but he was not born yesterday that he did not know she was actually a scheming person.
"Anyway, let's split the money," Sol changed the subject, "How should we divide the money?" Sol asked the other, particularly Tea as she was their nominal leader and she should have a say on such a thing.
If it was Tea from before they get into the underworld, then she would have told everyone that she should get the most coins or she should keep everything for everyone else.
But things were different, she did not go for such a selfish decision and said, "let's split it evenly for everyone, it not as we need it to buy luxury so it should not be a problem that we let everyone have an equal amount."

"Everyone agreed with this?" she looked toward Tom and Harry as they killed most of the Vultures so they might think differently.
"I'm fine with it, I would not be able to kill that much without everyone's help," Harry agreed.
"I agree as well, we should split it evenly," Tom seconded the decision.
With Tom and Harry agreed, only Sol and Jennie were left, "Sure," Sol said simply while Jennie looked at everyone else in the eyes, "There is no way I can change the result, so let's just split it," she said with a grin.
With everyone's agreement, they split the money evenly between the five of them, each one of them got four gold coins that they did not know how much it was worth.
They needed to ask around for an inn as the peddler did not tell them where it was and quickly closed his shop and bring his treasure away to keep it somewhere safe.
From how excited he was, Sol was sure that the man would make quite a profit from the vulture's body.
They walked a bit to look for someone who could tell there where to go, it did not take long for them to find two men who were talking to each other by the road.
"Excuse me, sir, Could you show us the direction of an inn?" Sol asked the nearest man.
"You are new here?" he asked back, Sol had got the question too many time that he answered them automatically like a chore.
With the question answered, Sol, get back to his main goal in talking to the man, "so could you point out to a good inn?" he asked.
"Sure, you could go to the snake inn or the boar inn, it depends on what kind of inn you are looking for," he told him.
"We are looking for something private and preferably comfortable to stay in," Sol explained.
The man looked troubled, "this city rarely gets a visitor so an inn business was not good, I don't think they have what you need," the man told him the truth.
The actual reason that two inns could survive in a city without a visitor was quite unique, the boar inn was secretly being used as a cover for a black market while Snake inn was used as a place for colosseum fighter's dorm.
In the city, their source of entertainment was the colosseum where people would challenge the colosseum champion for glory and money.
The man explained both inn's background to Sol and his group, they decided to stay in the snake inn after some discussion.
They would need to get to the black market to get the information they need but staying too long near the den of information broker was anything but risky for them who were hiding a ton of secrets.
"If you are going to the snake in, then you can just follow this road, on the third intersection turn left and your destination is on your right, when you get there you would be able to spot it right next to the colosseum, you won't miss it," he explained.
With the man's direction, Sol and the other quickly get to the inn, it looked like a normal inn if not for a giant colosseum beside it and a giant snake statue in front of the inn.
They haven't get into the inn but they could sense a lot of strong people in it, there was at least a hand full of a minor demigod in the inn, from what they knew, those demigods were the colosseum champion.
Sol and the other started to regret their choice, "Should we turn back? I won't be able to sleep in there anyway with so much pressure in the inn," Harry asked.
They wanted to agree with the lightning demigod but knowing the alternative, Sol and the others did not think it would be better.
Blackmarket was most likely guarded by as much Minor Demigod powerhouse as in the snake inn as a black market would attract strong people and they would need to have the power to keep their business running.
"No, the other choice might be worse, as long as we did not look for trouble in there there is no need to fear them," Sol said but he did not actually believe his teammates would offend anyone in the inn.
The group were consist of people who offend a God, there was a high chance that they would also offend others given the chance.
Sol could sense their power was too weak compared to the minor demigods in the inn, even if they gank on one man there was no guarantee that they would win.
Each minor demigod in the inn was stronger than Tea by quite a bit, Tea would lose ten out of ten against them, and adding Sol and the other to the fight would not change the outcome.
In the end, they get into the inn with a slow step, they did not know what kind of people were in the inn, if they were the one who was looking for trouble them Sol and the other would be in a hard position.
To their surprise, in the lobby they were greeted by an old man dressed as a butler, he was manning the reception table.
What surprised them was not his look but his power, the weak looking old man was a Minor demigod, and a strong one at that, if they did not sense wrong then he was the strongest Minor demigod in the inn.
If Sol were to fight against him, then not even a hundred or a thousand of him could beat the old man.
"Welcome to the snake inn, what can I help you?" the old man asked.
"We, Look, Room," Sol talked in a broken language as he was too nervous, he would sense that the old man was anything but normal.
"it would be five silver coins for one night for each room, how long would you stay," he asked in a professional way.
Sol was not sure how long they should stay or how much they would need to pay, so he tried to calm himself and said, "How many days would a gold coin get for five-room?"
"you could stay for four days with a gold coin, you would not get an extra day but we could give you breakfast for a bonus," the man explained as he thought Sol wanted a discount.
Sol calculated the number of they could stay and the number of rooms and he concluded that one gold coin equal to a hundred silver coins.
From their worth, if he were to translate it to dollars then a gold coin equal to five hundred dollars, so they got a grand from the vultures body which was quite a sum for them.
"We will take it," he said as he passes a gold coin to the man, the old man received the coin and lead them to their room.
"This was the first time someone did not ask if we are new here," Sol wondered to himself.
