Chapter 134: Trial
Chapter 134: Trial
Sol could actually change his trajectory if he conjured an ice platform between him and his metal counterpart.
"Fuckin Tyx, I will get her for this when it's over!" he cursed at the egoistical woman.
He stabbed his knife on the ground before he got too close to the doppelganger's range, it helped him stop his momentum but his back got opened wide for the doppelganger to attack.
Icicle smashing toward his back, staggering him forward, Sol tried his best to dodge the rest of the projectile but he had put too much handicap on himself by only using one ability.
"Damn, This other me is vicious, it seems to know that I only use one ability and decide to fight at distance," he complained.
Sol tried to close the distance but every time he got close, the Metal Sol would conjure a giant wall of ice before moving back out of his knife reach.
"Ughhh... knife aura is an amazing ability but it can only be used for melee purpose, the limitation is too restricting if I don't use any other ability," he thought.
Sol raised his knife to block another icicle that the doppelganger shooted at him, "I think it's about time," he looked at the other who was fighting their doppelganger.
He went toward the nearest metal doppelganger which was Jennie's doppelganger, Jennie got startled by him as he suddenly approached her location.
Both Jennies were fighting in close combat with blades of wind spinning around them like bees flying around in a circle.
"Sol behind you," she warned him as his doppelganger took the chance and tried to finish Sol from behind.

He didn't mind it and continued to run toward Jennie's doppelganger, the blades of wind started to move toward him, it cut his sun ice armor like a hot knife cutting through butter.
Blood started to flow out of Sol's body but he didn't mind it he continued to push forward to the metal doppelganger who was locked in melee with the real deal.
Sol swung his knife at its side but it dodges with the impossible grace of a martial artist like Jennie usually did in their training.
If he never trained with her then her doppelganger would surely dodge his attack but he somehow moved half step further than before and his knife barely touched the metal Jennie's body.
The knife aura Sol had conjured in her body got attracted to him once he hit her, the aura went into his body increasing his speed and sharpness further while slowing her equally.
Sol stopped bothering about it and turned to his other self that already got into melee distance, the knife on its hand almost touched Sol's throat when he suddenly rolled to the side to dodge it with such a speed that the Metal Sol could not keep up.
"Do you think I let you bully me around without a plan? I might be stubborn but I'm not stupid!" Sol Jeered at his doppelganger to taunt it but it did not respond.
The doppelganger turned to Jennie who was suppressing her doppelganger because it got slowed by Sol's ability.
It cut at her open side but She dodge with such a grace that martial artists have, if people saw this then they would feel a sense of deja vu but the color scheme was different.
The doppelganger suddenly moved half step closer but to its surprise, Jennie did not get cut, the one that got cut was an illusion made of wind as she was actually a step further not half a step further.
"Do you think I will fall to the same trick I have seen before?" He retorted at it.
Rather than answering, The metal Doppelganger threw his knife, even though there was no power behind the throw as its hand was already overextended, but Jennie dodge anyway, she had seen what could happen when Sol's blade touched her doppelganger.
She thought it was a desperate move to hit her but to her surprise the knife suddenly turned toward her and moved like it had its own mind, cutting her side with its blade.
"What was that?" she wondered as she tried to reorient herself.
The metal Sol had used the healing dome and knife aura combined ability to control the knife, Jennie did not know Sol had such an ability that she got caught unprepared.
Her speed got reduced as well but she already tried to get used to her weakened state, she was able to fend off her doppelganger as the Metal Sol went after the real deal.
The real Sol leave it to go after the other doppelganger, he had not expected that it would use the same trick he prepared, to beat it, he needs to get more aura first then take its aura for himself, once the balance was broken he would be able to beat it easily.
The key of this fight was who could gather more aura faster, Sol went after Tom's doppelganger as it was the closest and slowest among them.
Sol gets into melee distance within a second, tried to cut it but a wall of solid iron got conjured in front of him, trying to block his attack.
"I should be able to pierce it," he thought as he stabbed his knife straight through the metal, to his surprise he could only cut halfway through even with all the knife aura he had accumulated.
"Damn, Tom's defense is too fuckin solid" Sol complained as he tried to go around the wall of iron.
Tom had gone to melee with his doppelganger as he knew what Sol wanted to do and tried to help, if Sol needed to judge that Tom was the best in teamwork he could understand what others want and place himself in the right place.
With the metal Tom's attention got distracted, Sol tried to sneak attack it, he hid his presence with the technique Minerva had taught him when he first became a demigod.
Sol blended with the surrounding and attacked the metal doppelganger while it was wide open, Tom tried his best to occupy its attention.
To their surprise, Sol's doppelganger also did the same, both Toms were slowed by them, Sol tried to confront it but sign him to go after Harry first.
The metal Sol tried to follow but Tom did not allow him to, he conjured a metal cage to trap it.
To his surprise, It cut itself in half so it could pass through the cage before attaching back its body part, it had to use the healing dome ability to heal itself.
"What the fuck is that?" Tom wondered as the metal doppelganger was supposed to behave like a human, if they got cut then they bleed not meld back together.
Even Sol would not be crazy enough to cut himself then heal them back, even though he knew he could, he would not.
Sol arrived near the doppelganger Harry as fast as lightning while lightning was flashing everywhere.
Different from the other two, Harry's doppelganger was fighting at range, they threw all kinds of lightning bolts at each other.
Their condition was anything but good, both of them were bloody from each other attack, they have very high damage output but low defense.
Sol got close in an instant, his speed already so fast after taking two people worth of speed, Sol decided to deal real damage to his current enemy so Harry could be free.
He appears behind the unsuspecting metal doppelganger with such a speed he cut at its neck but to his surprise, lightning appears around his knife slowing it down by a notch, the doppelganger about to dodge but the knife finally got through its lightning barrier hitting it on the back rather than the neck.
Harry did not let the chance go and conjured a pillar of lightning at the metal doppelganger, incinerating it to ashes.
With his enemy gone, he turned at the metal Sol who got delayed by Tom, it was about to reach them but Harry showered him with Lighting.
The doppelganger conjured a shield of ice to block the lightning, it was not harmed but it got slowed, enough for the real Sol to arrive by its side.
With one single swing of his blade, Sol cut through the doppelganger arm, leaving it with one arm.
The knife aura it had accumulated also got attracted by Sol's aura, decreasing its speed while adding his own.
Sol was about to finish it when it exploded in purple lightning, at first he thought it was Harry, but white fog started to appear around him.
"Shit" he cursed as he got kicked in the gut and sent flying away by the impact.
The metal Sol had used the limit-break ability, it generated purple lightning that negated his knife aura effect so its speed got back to normal then got enhanced by the limit break state.
"Fukin shit! I wonder, why do I have so many annoying abilities," Sol complained as the doppelganger arm was regenerating.
