Chapter 69: The Arrow
Chapter 69: The Arrow
"Sir, what are we doing in the temple? Are you looking for someone?" Jacob asked Sol as they got closer to the temple.
The young man was worried about Sol as he could feel danger from him, moreover, the group Sol lead was by no means normal.
Tanya was no as confused, she had heard a lot of rumor and information about the heir killer, how he could get in and out of the Temple of Minerva as he please, she had guessed that Sol was going to get into the temple.
"I have a business in the Temple" Sol replied nonchalantly, which shocked the younger man.
"By in the temple, you mean inside the temple?" Jacob asked in shock, he even forgets to keep himself polite.
Realized his mistake, the young man hurriedly apologized at Sol, "ah! Sorry Sir, I did not mean to offend you."
"Hahaha, It's fine, you can call me Sol," he replied with a laugh, Sol was not accustomed to acting all high and mighty, he preferred it if people stay normal while talking with him.
"Yes, Mr. Sol, I will" the younger man felt relieved at his friendliness, "Maybe, this man is not dangerous after all," He thought to himself.
Sol was about to reach the temple of Minerva when he heard a shout, "HEI! Where are you going?! Stay there!"
The temple guards did not stop them because Jacob was leading them but a Young girl noticed them and started shouting while hurriedly getting closer.
The girl looked even younger than Jacob, she looked like eighteen or seventeen years old, she wears a robe similar to a priestess robe.
When the girl got near enough, She froze in place as she felt pressure from Sol and his group, She did not have any bloodline so She did not notice that the people with Jacob was all with a bloodline.
"Mr. Sol I'm so sorry, this is my little sister, Jean, she is the priestess here, I hope you can let this go, She did not mean any harm," Jacob hurriedly apologizes for his sister.

Sol nodded in understanding, he was not going to get angry for a single sentence, the young girl also reminds him of his students so he did not take it personally.
Seeing that Sol was not angry, Jacob sigh in relief, he loved his sister so much that he joins her in the temple of Minerva, he did not want to see her sister got into a problem with such a terrifying man.
"Jean, this is a guest from the neighboring city, they have a business in the temple," he explained to the young girl.
After their little ordeal, Sol and the group get to the temple entrance without a hitch, he told Miya and Moon to stay back with Tanya and Blacky as he gets in with Nerodia and Nerva.
Sol needed to bring the little kitten as the Goddess would not meet him otherwise, on the other hand, He brought Nerodia with him because he wanted to ask the Goddess to check on her condition.
Her condition had improved in the last few days but there was no sign of her regaining her memory, Sol wanted to help her regain her memory.
"Greetings, Your Cuteness" Sol greeted the Goddess as he met her in the temple.
The temple was an exact copy of the temple of Minerva that was in his city, every image, every stone and furniture are the exact copy.
The Goddess nodded at him while Continue to munch on the sweets, as usual, she gestures them to seat on a chair that she had conjured out of nothing.
The mortals walk forward and sit before the Goddess, Sol waits as usual as to keep the Goddess in a good mood.
He did not know since when but Nerva had also started to munch on the sweets, Nerva and Minerva looked similar that people would think they are sisters if not for Nerva's obvious cat feature.
Sol waited for almost an hour before the Goddess started to talk with him, "So, Mr. Vestitor, what do you need from me this time?" She asked with a smile.
The Goddess could sense that Sol was already on the door of being a Demigod, She guessed that he wanted a help to breakthrough.
"I need help to beat a Demigod," Sol told the Goddess.
Currently, his focus was not on advancing but to keep themselves safe in the city, he did not want to ask for too much as he was afraid of the fee he needs to pay the Goddess.
The Goddess was not deterred though, "To beat a Demigod you need to be a Demigod, it's quite simple right?" she laughed at him.
"You already on the gate of being a Demigod, I could help you advance to be a Demigod for a price" She smiled brightly at him, it was so beautiful but it made him sweat instead.
"What is the price?" Sol asked in warry, he did not want to be taken advantage of again.
"Become my underling, join my Pantheon" she answered with a charming smile.
Pantheon was a group of divinity, they usually led by a Major God, the stronger the member of the pantheon was, the stronger the God become.
Sol was not really interested in joining any Temple or become a member of Pantheon as he was not sure of the Gods' nature and goals.
"I will think about it," Sol declined while he tried to be polite at it, "How about this?" Sol pulled out the former bronze arrow he had in his backpack.
"Can you help me restore its power?" Sol shows the stone arrow to the Goddess.
She was shocked at the item in his possession, "where did you find this? No wonder you got a Demigod divinity, you actually found this thing" She said, it was the first time he saw a shock on her face.
"What is this arrow?" Sol asked in curiosity.
"This is one of Apollo's arrow, it's what you call a divine armament" She explains briefly as she did not want him to know too much about the arrow.
"I could restore it with my divine power but you would need to pay me for that," She said, "but, I have another solution for you," she told him with a smile that reminds him of a conman.
"What is it?" Sol did not outright reject her as he needs a solution.
"You give me the arrow in and exchange I would help you become a Demigod" she offered.
That sounds like a rather great deal as Sol did not need to do anything other than part with something he could not use.
Sol was not stupid though, he knows from the simple explanation that the arrow was precious, he could gain more than as simple help to advance.
"Your Cuteness, I think the arrow worth more than that, how about you help me with another favor?" Sol became bold as he had a bargaining chip on his hand.
"what do you want?" the Goddess got straight to the point with Sol.
"Can you Check Nerodia's condition? If possible I want you to cure her," Sol told her his demand.
"Fine, let me check," The Goddess turned to the silent girl in the room.
After a few seconds of observation, she turned back at Sol, "Her condition is quite complicated, she had gone against the nature of her advancement" she explained.
"Can you cure it?" Sol asked the Goddess, he really wants to cure Nerodia, her being all defenseless was torture to him.
"it possible but you need to pay me more than this arrow, but there is an alternative," she told him honestly.
"What alternative?" Sol questioned the Goddess, he would take any alternative than paying the Goddess more.
"After you become a Demigod, you can let her take your essence since you have a bond with each other that would help her recover," she explained.
"What essence is this? Can you be more specific?" his mind starts to wander.
"What are you thinking you old pervert?" The goddess looked at Sol in disgust.
"What? You are the one being vague here" Sol cried in his heart, as he felt wronged.
"I mean you feed her with your blood, it would help her recover, I estimate it would take a month for her to be a proper Demigod," She told him.
"Oh I see, that's why she keeps sucking my blood" Sol replied awkwardly.
"So, do we have a deal?" Mineva looked at Sol with a grin, she had let him bargain his price so she expects him to accept the offer.
Sol nodded as he pushes the arrow to her, "Deal! When can you help me advance?" he was in a hurry to advance as the Demigod in the city might have noticed their visit.
The faster Sol advance to be a Demigod was for better as he would have an advantage compared to others, He would have the power to stay in control of his own fate.
