Solo Player Arvin

Chapter 62 - -61<Becoming An Acolyte-3>

Phyllis Cullen had her small mansion in the inner city far from the part controlled by the Cullen family also called the Cullen city. After spying on Phyllis for about 3 days, Arvin knew everything there was to know about her. He knew about her nature, her friends, and most importantly her idealogy.

She is a charismatic girl and was very knowledgeable. But Arvin was able to see any greed in her eyes. She wanted power and showcase that she is a Cullen like anyone out there. Arvin recognized it quickly as he used to have the same eyes back on earth. And Arvin had decided that he would use this to get her attention as well as entice her to work for him…

Arvin had overheard that Phyllis with her confidant and close friend Claire and Cassandra will be going to a restaurant for barbeque. This restaurant was located 3 Kilometers outside Dwane city. She would be meeting with her friends have some sort of party there. Arvin decided that this would the best time for him to make contact with her…

On the day of the party, Arvin sneaked into the inner city with a token he took from Han. After sneaking in, he went towards Phyllis's house. There he found that an open carriage was waiting outside her mansion. A coachman was standing beside the carriage. He was an old man with a weak-looking body. Arvin then sneaked up to the old man and knocked him out with a punch on his head. And then he transformed into the old man.

This carriage was an open black color carriage with a big trunk in the back. It was been pulled by 2 great horses. There were comfortable leather seats in the carriage. Arvin went and put 5 gold coins under the seats. He then stood beside the carriage waiting for Phyllis and her friends to come out…

After an hour of waiting Phyllis, Claire and Cassandra came out of the mansion. They were all dressed up wearing fancy clothes. Arvin behaved like a normal coachman. He opened the carriage gate for the ladies while also helped them to get up in the carriage. And then they started venturing out…

Arvin took them out of Dwane city and towards the restaurant. While he was driving the carriage, all the three ladies gossiped about the different matters of the high-class society. And as the carriage was outside the city, Arvin started executing his plan…

"And then she wore that dress all night long. And she didn't have any idea that her undergarments could be seen through dress…" Cassandra said while gossiping about some lady.

"HAHAHA" both Phyllis and Claire laughed at this incident.

"*cough cough*" Arvin coughed two times to gather the lady's attention.

"Is something wrong with your throat old man?" Claire said rudely. According to her, a coachman should have enough courtesy not to eavesdrop on their masters.

"Instead of a problem, I have some things to say, my lady. You see where Lady Cassandra is sitting I have left 5 gold coins under her seat. Could you please be a doll and gave those to the old man that drives your carriage."

"Huh?" Phyllis, Claire, and Cassandra said in unison.

"Speaking which he is trapped in the trunk at the back of the carriage. He would wake up after you splash some water on his face. For the things that he had to go through, those gold coins are his compensation."

"What are you talking about?" Phyllis asked in confusion.

"People who are not familiar with me or my work call me the Merchant. And do not let the name fool you. I may be called a merchant but I am I do not sell jewels or spices. If you want I can hook you up with it, but that is not my main trade." Arvin said and then he pulled the reins of horses and made the carriage stop in the middle of the road. Then he turned around and said…

"It is a pleasure to meet you, Phyllis," Arvin said. Till that time all of the girls became vigilant. Claire who also Phyllis's bodyguard, stood between him and Phyllis with a small knife in her hand.

"Oh don't worry, I am not a very hostile guy," Arvin said. He got from his seat and got out of the carriage and stood by the side of the carriage.

"As I said, I am a merchant. So I am naturally here to make a deal with you Miss Phyllis." Arvin said. Then he walked towards the trunk at the back and took the old man that he shoved in earlier and put him by the side of the road. When Phyllis and others saw that there were two men two-man with the same faces, they knew that they were in big trouble.

"What kind of deal?" Phyllis asked while still fearing the man in front of her.

"My deal is very simple. I will need the full cooperation of you and your friends here and in return, I would make you the core member or the head of the Cullen family." Arvin said with confidence.

But as the trio heard that they all frowned. They knew what Cullen's family members are like. If becoming the core member or head of the Cullen family was that easy then Phyllis would become one by now based on her achievements.

"You talk like you are handing over candy," Claire said with displeasure.

"Oh, I am," Arvin replied confidently.

"What if we refuse?" Cassandras asked.

"As I said. I am not a very hostile guy. I will let you all go. Then I will find another member of the Cullen family and gave him/her the same deal that I gave you guys."

"That easily?" Phyllis asked.

"Yes…. Oh… I see. You guys would be thinking that this guy is letting us go, just like that? Is he Reatard? You are thinking that. Right?"

"…"

"Well let me clarify something, Miss Phyllis. I may not be a hostile guy but my men are not. You have been surrounded by my men for a long time. And the same goes for your friends. We know all about there is to know about you guys. So if you try to tell someone anything about us then you will die faster and more cruelly than Han."

"Han?... Uncle Han? You are the one who killed him?" Cassandra asked while fuming with anger.

"Yeah, I have to. We offered him some compensation for his cooperation. And then he agreed to it. But then he tried to backstab us. So I had to kill him."

"Why would you need him? He was just an old man that worked in a library." Claire said

"He was the hidden powerhouse of the Cullen family. He worked in the Ghost faction that overlooks Cullen family from the dark." Arvin said. When he said that, Claire and Cassandra were shocked after hearing this. While there were no significant changes in Phyllis's face. This lead Arvin to believe that she knew about his true identity.

"Listen, girls. I don't have much time. So I will straight to the point. You three are very weak. You guys are just a bunch of losers in your society. I am willing to give you the power and make you someone influential. And that too with no strings attached. I will not take a single penny from you nor I will use your cooperation to take compensation from you in the future. So it is a win-win deal. The only thing that I would want from you guys in return is your cooperation. Think about it. There will be a Corgan waiting by the window of your office Miss Phyllis tomorrow morning. Just write your answer on a piece of paper and then give that paper to him.

And beware. If you try to cross me in any way I would find you guys. And when I do, you will be able to see the face of death after deadly torture that my men will do to you.

See ya." Arvin said. Then he started running away from the carriage. He went north of the carriage. And based on his speed, Phyllis, Clair and Cassandra could guess that he was a very dangerous individual.

After Arvin ran away Phyllis, Clair and Cassandra were not in the mood for the party anymore. They woke the old man who passed out on the road. Phyllis knew that old man as a coachman since her childhood. So she asked him a bunch of questions to see whether this was an old man that she knew. After she confirmed that he was the real deal, they ordered him to turn around the carriage and return to the city.

While going back to the city none of them said a word to each other. They all sat in the carriage in silence. Phyllis on the other hand was trying to guess the other party's strength. She didn't know much about Han or the ghost faction. What she did was that Han was an elder there and he was the second most powerful in the faction. And from what she heard, the leader of the ghost faction killed him as he was bent on doing something that could be disastrous for the family.

As the leader of the ghost faction killed the old man and based on what that man said to her, does that mean that man was in fact the leader of the Ghost faction?
