Solo Player Arvin

Chapter 98 - -12<Memorable Night-4>

Arvin was not a clean freak. But there was no way in hell that he wanted to keep a dead person's body in his inventory. So he had already decided that he would dump the body of his disguise on the same bed as Aria. He would stick around. He would surely like to see Aria's reaction when she would wake up tomorrow.

Imagine waking up with a dead body beside you. And that body was brutally murdered. The neck of the dead body is broken while some of the ribs of the body may be fractured. It would nice scene to watch. So after dumping the body of the cat-man that he killed, Arvin transformed into a fly and flew away. He would like to explore this mansion.

Arvin's plan was the same as the heist of Alman's house. He would at first take a look around the house. He would first sort out all the things that are valuable to him. After that, he would take them all in a swoop. He had few things in his mind that he definitely needed. And they were books. He needed knowledge to survive in this world.

So Arvin went out of Aria's room and started roaming around the whole house. First Arvin mapped the house in his mind. Then he started going one by one in each of the rooms to see what was inside of them. While roaming here and there Arvin eventually came across a double-sided door. That door has magnificence to it. Curious about what was behind the door, Arvin went inside.

Behind the door was a dark room with a huge fire pit in the middle. Few people were sitting around the fire pit. Arvin was sure that no one would be able to see through his form. So he directly went inside without any caution. He ignored the people that were inside and directly started looking around the room.

Arvin became very happy as he found the library of the house. There were several books stashed in this library. Arvin started sorting the books that he needed or anything that caught his eye. There were several books on magic, artifacts, rune formations, potions, herbs, etc. looking at the dust that was forming on the books Arvin remembered Alman. He was a a*shole but at least all of his books were nice and clean.

Arvin started looking around the library but his venture was cut short when he heard…

"No need to tire yourself, Stuart. I will go with you. I would also like to see your study room. From what I have heard you are hoarding many kinds of treasure there. I would love to take a look at your treasures…" said a woman from behind.

Arvin had already found the real treasure in this house. Those were the books that they had in this library. Now if he could get his hands on something more valuable then why should be back down. So Arvin stopped his venture for now and started following the people that were leaving the library…

Arvin followed those five people but at a distance. After copying the physical attributes of these cat people Arvin knew that these people have an acute sense of smell and hearing. And he didn't want to gather attention to himself by being a fly that was constantly stalking them. So he maintained a distance from them.

Those people were following an old man. And that old man took them to the most innermost of their mansion. There he went inside the room and all the other people followed behind them. With the body of a fly, Arvin could easily make him stick himself on the walls. Arvin also went inside and then he sat on the nearest wall that he could find.

…..

Inside Stuart's treasure room on would think that he/she would find a room full of treasures and ancient artifacts. But that was not true at all. Instead, Stuart's treasure room was filled with wines and alcohol of different types. He had been a fan of exotic alcohol all of his life. And so he had gathered a large collection of drinks from all around the second as well as the third floor. Stuart was so obsessed with alcohol that he started calling his drinking room his treasure room.

Stuart's treasure room became famous amongst all of their friends and families as there was a drink for every type of person in that room. If you like hard stuff then there are scotch bottles in there which are at least 50 years old. If you are a girl then they have wine bottles that make you tipsy in just a sip.

Stuart was very proud of this room. But little did he knew that this was the last night when this room would be called a treasure room…

Arvin was amazed by seeing those amazing bottles of alcohol. He was so mesmerized that he ignored the people that were with him at the moment and started roaming from bottle to bottle...

Stuart's treasure was a very small room. But it was decorated quite nicely. In between the room were some fluffy mattresses. Just beside the mattress, there were some decorated and high-quality hookahs. While all the walls of the room were filled with shelves. On those shelves, various bottles of expensive alcohol were kept. As the door of the room opens, just beside the door there was a cane stand. On that cane stand a 5 feet tall wooden stall was kept.

That wooden staff was the simple wooden staff. There were no intricate designs nor any carving all over it. The only thing that was noteworthy about this staff was the red color jewel that was embedded on its top. On the top of the staff, there was an intricate small cage-like structure. Inside that structure was there was a ball-like jewel. That jewel was not normal. That ball is in a shape of a ball but if someone examines it closely then it had 12 hexagonal faces on it. It looked like a megamix rubic puzzle.

Stuart took out the staff from the stand and handed it over to Lord Gracie. The black fennec fox took the staff from Stuart's hand and started examining the red jewel closely…

"Lord Gracie I must tell you this now… You see remember that the crazy old man use to rant about this jewel was an important piece to find El Dorado. And how his family was the guardian of the sacred temple." Stuart started speaking.

"Yes." Lord Gracie said. Till this time Arvin finished roaming around here and there and started concentrating on the talk of people around him.

"Then after his death, I had that staff examined to see whether that jewel on the top is worth any money. But the jewel merchant that I know, declared that this jewel was in fact made of red quartz. It is fake. That old man cheated me." Stuart said.

"That is a fake jewel? And you didn't bother to tell me that?" Martha asked.

"Well dear, the old man died after he took money from me. I blindly trusted that stupid old man's word. He said that this jewel was worth a lot. And how was I supposed to know that he would die the next day after taking money for me? And I didn't want to anger you. So hid the fact that this staff was fake." Stuart said dejectedly.

"I will deal with you later…" Martha said while glaring at Stuart. She knew Stuart pretty well. That is why she understood that Stuart is not the kind of man that would keep a fake item in his treasured room. He would throw that staff out ages ago. And he is not the kind of man who would lie without a backup plan. Especially lying to  Lord Gracie was out of the question. This could mean only one thing. That may be Stuart has a devious plan in his mind.

"But still I would like to take this staff with me." Lord Gracie said.

"Lord Gracie this staff is useless to merchants like us. So keep this staff. Anything for the glory of Nekota city." Martha said.

"Long live Nekota city!" Lord Gracie said.

"LONG LIVE NEKOTA CITY!" Both Aria's parents screamed together. It was then Lord Gracie turned around her to speak with her bodyguards…

"I am reteruning to house. I believe I could trust you both with such a simple task?" Gracie asked.

"Yes, mistress." The black-cloaked people spoke.

"Good. Don't leave any evidence behind." Lord Gracie said.

"What do you mean?" Martha asked as she felt something was amiss in this conversation. Hearing Martha's question Gracie turned around and looked at Martha and Stuart…

"Thank you for your service." Lord Gracie said. Before either Martha or Stuart could speak the black-cloaked bodyguards attacked them both suddenly. Old and weak, before Martha or Stuart could understand anything that transpired, they both died…

Arvin saw the whole ordeal. He didn't understand what had transpired. Nor he gave any f*ck about it. He patiently waited there in that room while the black fennec fox and that black-cloaked figures went outside.

Only after a few seconds of their departure did he started hearing noises. Some noises were screams while some noises belonged to things breaking. It was only after an hour of noises, finally, everything became quiet. It was then Arvin started to move…
