Chapter 186 - Dream Communication Talisman

The weak-looking young man was none other than Lucas' little brother Evan.

Looking at him, Lucas could not help but feel heartache.

'Even in the dream, he was thinking about the training. Damn these bastards, how much are they training?'

Lucas already experienced something similar in his previous life and the mysterious organization also trained him so much that even in his dreams, he could only think about it.

'I will just talk with him.'

Lucas flew towards Evan and brought him away from the crowd.

"Brother?"

Evan was surprised to see Lucas and hurriedly asked, "How did you get here?"

"Please bring me out of here. They are killing anyone who slacks at training."

Before Lucas could say anything, Evan anxiously begged Lucas to take him away from this place.

"Evan…this is just a dream and I can't take you away from here."

Lucas replied with a bitter look on his face as he continued, "However, I promise you I will take you away from here at any cost."

"Dream?"

Evan looked at the group in that distance that was still training even when he left that group and finally realized it was a dream.

"Yes. I am using a talisman to communicate with you and I don't know how long it will last but I want you to stay strong and please endure for something."

Even though it was his first time to say these words to anyone, Lucas tried his best to make Evan believe in him.

"Brother, even though this place is cruel, I can survive here. Please don't look for me."

Evan gritted his teeth and said those words; however, Lucas could tell that Evan just wanted Lucas to stay safe and survive in the barren firmament.

If Lucas comes looking for him, it would only kill him as the instructors of this place was already so strong not to mention how strong the experts ordering them around.

Earlier, when he begged Lucas to take him away from this place, Evan was just excited to see Lucas and said whatever he felt like saying; however, after calming himself down, Evan didn't want Lucas to come looking for him.

"Evan…stop saying such words. You are the only kin left for me in this world and even if it cost me my life, I won't stop looking for you. I will save you at any cost but I want you to survive no matter what."

Lucas became a little serious as he said those words, making Evan very emotional as he tried to hug Lucas.

"You can hug me as my physical body is not really here."

Lucas shook his head with a bitter look.

"Oh"

Evan rubbed his nose a little before saying, "Brother, Ruby is taking good care of me with her skill 'Fire pill'. As long as I consume that pill, all my tiredness will disappear."

'Hiss'

As Evan was speaking about Ruby, a small red snakehead piqued out of Evan's chest.

"Oh. Little fire snake? It is still with you?"

Lucas was surprised to see that it was still alive; however, judging from the little snake's actions, he could tell that it was scared to come out of Evan' robes.

"Ruby, do you remember my big brother?"

The only good thing for Evan in this place was the little fire snake that Lucas gifted him.

'...'

However, the little snake didn't reply, making Evan frown a little.

"Evan, it is just a projection created in your dream. And I can only talk with you because it is your dream space."

Lucas also raised his brows for a moment; however, when he thought about where they were, he understood what happened to the little snake.

"Oh."

Evan was confused a little as he didn't understand it clearly; however, he was not bothered much about it and explained Ruby's skill.

"On the second day after coming here, Ruby awakened a skill called 'Fire pill'. Using that skill, Ruby could refine a pill after absorbing the fire elements in the underground cave in which we are living in."

'Flick'

While Evan was speaking about his survival experience, Lucas' consciousness flickered, indicating that the time for him to leave Evan's dream space had come.

"Evan…looks like I will be leaving now."

Seeing that, Lucas hurriedly spoke to Evan, "If I get another talisman like the current one, I will come and visit you again."

"Okay, brother."

Evan became a little sad; however, he didn't show it on his face and nodded his head before saying, "I will be waiting for you to save me then."

'Swoosh'

Soon, Lucas' consciousness disappeared from the dream space and returned to his body that was lying in the wilderness canvas.

'I didn't expect the little snake to awaken such a skill.'

The moment his consciousness returned, Lucas thought about the skill awakened by the little fire snake.

Even though it was not a powerful skill, it would definitely increase the survival rate of his brother.

'Moreover, from the looks of it, the instructors must be letting him keep the little snake.'

As the one, who survived more or less the same hell in his previous life, Lucas knew that the instructors would always keep an eye on everyone.

So, Lucas was not worried that the instructors would punish his little brother for keeping a spirit pet on him because they already know about it.

"After talking with him, I can stop worrying about it and focus on increasing my strength."

Even though he said that, deep down, he was still worried about his little brother because there would be so many variables in a place like that which could kill his brother.

'The place the mysterious organization was currently keeping and training the young boys and girls seemed like underground; however, I still need to find out the exact location.'

Lucas didn't ask Evan about where they were staying because other than the head or manager of that place, even the instructors would not know about that place.

'I might be wrong about the instructors; however, Evan and other children would never know about where they were kept.'

Lucas shook his head and went to sleep as he had huge plans for tomorrow.
