Chapter 47 47 - Enigmatic Fate
Bai Gu Jing regarded Ximen Wei with a curious expression, his piercing eyes seeming to look through him. The younger man could feel a shiver run down his spine as he stood before the powerful demon, unsure of what to expect.
"You have an enigmatic fate," Bai Gu Jing said, his voice carrying a note of awe. "It is shrouded in mystery, and your soul and memories are unreadable to me. Yet, our destinies seem intertwined, bound together by the threads of karma."
Ximen Wei could feel the weight of those words pressing down upon him, as if a great destiny was being laid out before him.
Bai Gu Jing gave a deep sigh, as if the weight of the ages rested upon his shoulders. "I had once planned to use your body as a vessel for my reincarnation, but it seems that fate has other plans. Instead, I shall pass on to you the legacy of the League of the Devils - my techniques, my magic, and my will. My Dao."
Ximen Wei listened with rapt attention, his eyes never leaving Bai Gu Jing's face.
"The League of the Devils acquired the Devil Magic during the Qi Ascension, and we have kept it hidden within us ever since. Only when we reached the rank of Qi Expert did it begin to surface, granting us unimaginable power."
Bai Gu Jing paused, as if lost in thought. "When one of my brothers broke through to the Paragon Rank, he uncovered shocking secrets about the League of the Devils. But that knowledge is not for you yet. All you need to know is that we were waiting for you, and that the League of the Devils is connected to you by the bonds of karma. You are fated to become a Devil."

Bai Gu Jing's eyes glinted with an intensity that seemed to pierce through the very fabric of reality. His voice was steady, unwavering, as he spoke.
"Although I am an extension of your true self, I do not want to die," he said. His words were not directed at Ximen Wei, but at some unseen presence that lingered in the air around them, haunting and intangible.
"You desire reincarnation, and so do I. You long for immortality, and so do I."
Ximen Wei could feel a shiver run down his spine as he listened to the demon's words. He had never encountered such raw power before, such a sense of purpose that seemed to transcend time and space.
"This boy is connected to us by the bonds of karma," Bai Gu Jing continued, his voice growing more intense. "And you want me to help him. But what if I fail? What if I ruin your plans? What if I kill him right here, right now?"
Bai Gu Jing's eyes glinted with an intensity that seemed to pierce through the very fabric of reality. He looked up towards the sky with an unyielding expression, as if communing with an unseen presence. His voice was steady, unwavering, as he spoke.

Bai Gu Jing's eyes glinted with an unprecedented madness, and his hair whipped around him wildly, as if possessed by some otherworldly force. The aura of death around him grew stronger and stronger, filling the cave with an oppressive weight.
"You've been dead for god knows how long," he snarled, his voice rising to a fever pitch. "Nothing will stop me if I want to kill this kid... nothing!"
Qi started to gather around Bai Gu Jing, giving rise to a wild tempest that threatened to tear the very cave apart. But Ximen Wei remained unscathed, standing resolutely before the demonic creature.
Just when it seemed like Bai Gu Jing would strike, he suddenly calmed down out of nowhere. The energy that had been emanating from him disappeared, and calmness settled over his eyes, no longer filled with madness and insanity.
"But I have no choice, do I?" he murmured.
Bai Gu Jing looked towards Ximen Wei, who stood there motionless and confused, clearly struggling to understand the sudden turn of events.
"Kid, I'll pass on to you my legacy," he said, his voice carrying a note of urgency. "But in return, you have to take me to see my older brother."
Ximen Wei frowned, unsure of what to make of the request. He had no idea who this "older brother" was, or why Bai Gu Jing was so desperate to see him.
Before he could voice his confusion, however, Bai Gu Jing transformed into a beam of light that merged with the medallion inside Ximen Wei's pocket. A voice rang out from within the medallion, echoing through the empty cave.
"I'll release the contents of my legacy when we reach the Immortal Devil Sect," the voice said, clear and commanding. "The erected barrier outside is now disabled, you can exit my Devil's Den safely."
imen Wei's breath grew ragged, and his mind was a flurry of conflicting emotions. On the one hand, he felt a surge of excitement at the prospect of receiving Bai Gu Jing's legacy - the promise of gaining such incredible power was almost too much to bear.
But at the same time, he could not shake the feeling that something was not right. The entity inside the medallion was clearly powerful beyond measure, and Ximen Wei had no idea what its true intentions were.
And what about Bai Gu Jing's older brother? Who was he, and why was Bai Gu Jing so desperate to see him?
