Chapter 300 Premonition
Kyle has had the premonition that he would die, or that he would enter a state where he was closer to death than the death itself. This didn't really feel great but it was not as if his premonition had to be correct.
Unfortunately, with the new information he received, the Guild Master's danger increased by leaps and bounds.
"The Black Dragon is…dead? But you said that you can see her paths of development…shouldn't that mean that you can nurture her?" Selene asked while her face turned ashen.
"Well, yes but that is mostly because she wants me to devour her Dragon Heart…probably in exchange for devouring her Soul. It looks like she wants to end her life, never to be born again…" Kyle was not sure what to think about this but it was definitely not something normal.
The Soul of the Black Dragon was sealed in its well-preserved body. From the looks of it the body seemed to be alive, and only after Kyle took a closer look with his nurture ability's sight was it possible for him to see some hues that may hint the Black Dragon's death.
[Ah and by the way, I brought you to the Lost Arc because you should make use of it. The Fallen Olymp is amazing, and it will help you to become as strong as the other Old Souls, even those, who were reborn as Ancients, Primordials, and other weird races. The Shalivra Valley should only be your starting point, take it over from that weakling!]
The voice of the Black Dragon appeared every now and then. It seemed like the Black Dragon could still perceive a few things but that was already it.
The Soul of the Black Dragon was sealed inside the body and she couldn't do anything but to perceive everything that existed in her range.
This was basically only Kyle, whose journey she could follow because he was holding onto the dragonscale map and due to the fact that he was an Old Soul. She was not able to perceive others.
"She wants me to take over the Shalivra valley, and to defeat that 'weakling'...I guess that's the Guild Master…" Kyle forwarded with a frown on his face.
"Wait, wait, wait…slow down a bit…" Beatrice suddenly intervened, before she took a breath to continue speaking, "So the Black Dragon is dead, she wants you to eat her heart and to devour her soul…all of that sounds insane but I can accept that….but how are we supposed to defeat the Guild Master? He is…at the very least at the Peak of the Malyr stage.

If we're unlucky he advanced to the Plynur stage. All of us are dead if that's the case…"
Beatrice was correct. They would die if the Guild Master were to be at a high cultivation stage. However, that was something they had known before as well.
"Well, do you think he will keep you alive after he gets what he wants; the ability to enter the Fallen Olymp?" Kyle asked in return, smiling faintly. He knew that their situation was a bit…risky, but it was not as if running away would help them.
The Quetzalcoatl should have perceived them when they entered the forbidden forest and that beast was likely to have reported their identity to the Guild Master by now. They wouldn't be able to be safe anywhere inside the Shalivra valley, either way.
"Soooo…what are we going to do now?" Jaden asked in fright. He was not able to think clearly because they had taken a gamble by approaching the Cave of the Lost Arc. They trusted that the Black Dragon would save them.
"Well, we will enter the Cave of the Lost Arc, activate it and we will hide somewhere the moment the Guild Master comes. If he searches for the Fallen Olymp he will just enter the Lost Arc without worries. But if he wants to make sure that nobody closes the Lost Arc when he enters it, I guess he will try to kill me.
When that happens, you guys have to conceal your cultivation energies and hide from the Guild Master. I will reveal myself and die, after that it's done," Kyle said as if it was nothing serious.
Somehow, his premonition had numbed him to the sensation of death. This was idiotic but Kyle could only smile faintly as he shrugged his shoulders.
"You can be honest with us…are you stupid?" Selene asked all of a sudden with teary eyes.
If Kyle was dead, she didn't want to live either. Beatrice would wreak havoc as well because she would lose her soulmate and the only person who could give her enough blood to calm her. Meanwhile, Yasmine would be lost as well.
As for Jaden, he had nowhere to go, Arashi would die with Kyle, just a bit later, while Aurora would be left alone.
The moment Kyle would die, their group would end and chaos would descend.
"You cannot die, you idiot!" Yasmine declared, her eyes were also teary.
Meanwhile, Beatrice felt more like twisting Kyle's neck rather than starting to cry. However, it was her anger that frightened everyone.
"Maybe I phrased my sentence wrong…I will die, but only temporarily. The Guild Master cannot see souls, and my soul is Arashi. Spirit Souls remain longer in the body of their deceased master before they disperse," Kyle explained calmly but neither of the women felt like listening to his slow voice. They wanted answers, right here and right now!
"Speak facts!" Yasmine demanded from Kyle.
"Don't talk around the bush!!!" Selene ordered with a high-pitched voice
"Now, or I'll kill you!!" Beatrice shouted out
"No, you won't!" Yasmine uttered with a demanding voice
"Okay…that was not meant seriously…" Beatrice tried to explain herself, only for Aurora to shut her mouth as she appeared in front of Beatrice.
"Well, Arashi can use the Nurture ability after his last evolution, and he can act on his own. He may be considered my soul but he acts on his own, just like a normal beast would act. Well he is more intelligent but…whatever," Kyle swallowed his saliva after he took a breath of air. He sweated heavily because the three women stared daggers at him, demanding him to tell what the hell was going on.
"Arashi will only disperse after I'm actually dead for around….a few hours, I guess? He can devour the Black Dragon's soul and activate the Nurture ability to heal my mortal body. Basically the Soul is the Anchor of Life and the body is just its vessel. That means as long as my soul, Arashi, is still fine, I can be fixed with the nurture ability.
Even if the Black Dragon's soul is not enough, eating her heart should make up for it. Easy, right?" Kyle smiled proudly, and Arashi, who had appeared on his shoulder nodded his head vigorously.
The Spirit Soul knew of Kyle's plan and it actually sounded pretty decent in Arashi's opinion.
Of course, it would be easier if they were able to run for their life but entering the Lost Arc might cause more harm than any good.
Dying for a few minutes or hours would be perfectly fine.
"Well…that sounds insane…but it is actually a feasible idea…if it works…" Jaden mumbled when he thought about the idea.
"It's only for the worst-case scenario, either way. Let's not worry too much. How about we activate the Lost Arc first?"
