Chapter 6 Mass Eradication
As Kyle activated the Nurture ability, he could feel his energy rapidly being drained off him.
However, at the same time, it felt oddly refreshing.
It was not that his body had been invigorated, but more like something about him had been enhanced!
His soul had been nurtured with the use of the Nurture ability for the very first time!
And, everything seemed to have worked out perfectly fine.
This was great and noticing his success in the first attempt itself, a vibrant smile emerged on Kyle's face.
He would be able to take care of himself without having to rely on others for his survival as it had been in his past life where every ordinary Yadras had to be protected.
In his past life, the planets inhabited by the Yadras were often attacked by other races that would then mercilessly seize their lands because of their inherent weak physical strength!
Not just stronger races, but in rare cases, even weaker races had attacked them!
They had wanted to have fun and demonstrate that they were superior to them.
All of that happened only because most Yadras were innately unable to cultivate!
His past memories only fanned his anger and he was about to slash at the tree right next to him to vent out his frustration when he stopped midway.
A sudden thought had emerged in his mind that made him ponder.
"If my Nurture ability can enhance my soul...what else can it nurture?"
Kyle was not sure how this idea had struck him, but his gut feeling told him that there must be more than one way to utilize his Nurture ability!
His thoughts were all over the place and he began to imagine numerous scenarios that might occur in the future.
"I might be unable to activate my cultivation veins because of the Spirit Soul I'm going to awaken, but...what about others?"
Right now he was at the Origin stage, which was the 0th cultivation realm that only a few races and Spirit Soul cultivators would ever enter!

However, in contrast to others, a Spirit Soul's awakening would destroy the three malfunctioned cultivation veins the Yadras had within its body!
A part of the destroyed, malfunctioned cultivation veins would merge into a Soul vein which would allow Kyle to use his Spirit Soul's transmuted energy to strengthen himself in all three cultivation paths at the same time!
He would take longer to cultivate than others, because he had to ensure a balance and refine his entire being, namely, his mind, energy field, and entire body, instead of focusing just on one of the main cultivation paths!
That was if one wanted to achieve the best possible result!
Yet, It was not a mandatory task or a prerequisite to cultivate in all three paths, but the provided balance of cultivating everything equally was what made Spirit Soul cultivators so special!
Kyle's strategy was simple.
'I want to take the most efficient path to become as strong as possible, even if it takes a little longer!'
The stronger he was, the fewer obstacles would be in his way. That was something Kyle knew for sure!
Behind these simple thoughts, there was something much more complex, but Kyle had yet to figure out what he wanted to do after he had taken the first few steps on the path of being a Cultivator!
Now, while walking through the Sadorla forest, he was fully on guard against possible ambushes.
Fortunately, nothing had happened to him until now, but he could not rely on luck all the time. So it was always better to be careful.
His senses were on high alert as he looked around, trying to find weak prey or opportunities to reap souls without the need to fight and risk his life!
There had been quite a few beasts suitable to have their souls devoured because he had come across dozens of beasts fighting each other while he strolled through the forest during the last few hours.
However, Kyle found that most of those life and death battles were one-sided.
This meant that he wouldn't have the opportunity to kill the beast that overpowered the other, let alone reap their souls.
On the other hand, Kyle had found several ways to employ a mass eradication of beasts that would allow him to devour several hundred souls at once!
Multiple plans were forming in his mind but the most efficient was also the most dangerous.
Yet, that was only the case if he were to make even the slightest mistake!
"No pain no gain it is, I guess?" Kyle mumbled as he searched for the skinny feline beast he had encountered earlier.
It was less than half a meter tall, and only 1.5 meters long with red stripes over its dark brown fur.
The feline beast had already been heavily injured, but that didn't mean much considering that its strength should be on par with a Maest mid-Fortification stage beast.
That was if he made a correct comparison with the executed strength of beasts he had known and seen in the past.
As such, Kyle was unable to defeat it in a head-on fight, which was something he didn't plan to begin with.
The feline Mid Fortification stage beast might be injured, but it was a beast that was close to creating its mana pool!
This was exactly what the path of mystic energy, Maest, was used for- nurturing an energy field in order to store mana and further cultivate it!
Furthermore, the feline beast had a fire affinity, which was the most important aspect for Kyle.
Meanwhile, its appearance was haggard, indicating that it was starving.
Kyle found this weird because it was unlikely for a Maest mid-Fortification stage beast that had already established an affinity seed within a mana pool to starve.
However, upon looking at the injury that seemed to have festered to the point that it was beginning to rot, Kyle was able to tell that something else should be wrong with the Fiery Purantha.
He had called it like that out of a whim, and its true name or species didn't matter because it would be taking its last breaths soon, either way!
'The greasy vyrm anthill is only 200 meters away from here...That should be feasible, right?'
While mumbling to himself, Kyle had already retreated several steps before picking up a handful of stones.
Despite its injury, the Fiery Purantha was much faster than the Low greasy vyrm ants. As such, Kyle approached the small anthill before he threw a few rocks into the small entrance he had located.
After that he took a few steps back, waiting for a reaction, but nothing happened!
He had already waited for half a minute before he figured out that his provocation hadn't worked.
Yet, just a few seconds later, he saw several thirty-centimeter-long ants approaching the anthill from his right out of the corner of his eye.
When they saw Kyle, the ants displayed their fury almost immediately as they let go of the corpse which they had been transporting to the hill.
Only a moment later, they began to charge at him.
It was only advantageous for Kyle that the greasy vyrm ants' agility was not exceptionally high despite being a beast that pursued the path of strength, Pryr!
In the end, they had yet to strengthen every cell in their body and enhance their life force with the primordial energy they had absorbed.
They had a strong attack and defense mechanism, but Kyle was faster than them by a marginal degree.
As such, he could rush towards the Fiery Purantha, which he had spotted only a minute later!
Throwing a rock at it, Kyle tried to attract the Fiery Purantha's attention who responded by turning in Kyle's direction as he had already jumped into the bush that was right next to him.
This created a short moment in which the greasy vyrm ants and fiery Purantha made eye contact.
Misled by the belief that the ants had tried to provoke it, the fiery Purantha was not even able to rationalize that the ants were unable to throw rocks.
As such, it roared out in anger, spitting a huge flame out of its mouth.
The flame's range was only two meters, but it was enough to scare the innocent ants whose natural enemy was fire!
Kyle knew of this, which was the reason for him to create this misleading situation in the first place!
As he had expected, the greasy vyrm ants scurried away in random directions, breaking their earlier disciplined line, while the Fiery Purantha followed them with fast strides.
Yet, instead of killing the ants one after another, the Fiery Purantha tore the first ant apart before taking two bites, only to rush after the remaining ants angrily.
The fact that the Fiery Purantha had halted in its tracks to take two bites out of the ant it had easily killed indicated two things.
Those things were that it was far stronger and hungrier than he had expected it to be!
Because of that, he found himself in a tricky situation.
However, it turned out to be even better than he could have hoped for!
The Fiery Purantha pursued the remaining greasy vyrm ants that had already reached the anthill which they entered without thinking about the consequences their decision brought forth!
In the end, their intelligence had just been too little to allow them to understand what they did as their instincts led them to the insides of the hill.
If they had known that the Fiery Purantha would try to follow them into the small space, thereby, putting their home in danger, they wouldn't have acted that way!
In the end, the space was barely wide enough to allow the greasy vyrm ants and their commonly found prey to squeeze through it and store inside the hill as food. Thus, it was unthinkable for their predators to follow them so recklessly!
Even Kyle didn't expect this and the moment the Fiery Purantha that was driven by its hunger and wrath squeezed itself into the narrow entrance, it spit out a searing hot flame.
When Kyle noticed this, he began to approach the Fiery Purantha whose injury had been fully exposed, pondering whether he should try killing it or not.
Though, before he was able to do anything, Kyle's attention was drawn to the hundreds of souls that emerged from the anthill explosions which resounded through the entire area!
"It really worked!"
Kyle had planned to use the Fiery Purantha's fire ability to wreak havoc within the anthill that was filled with greasy vyrm ants as it caught fire extremely easily!
At the same time, the ant hill's walls were overflowing with the ants' greasy liquid.
This meant that the whole anthill was about to burn down!
