Chapter 59: Precarious Situation?
The number of Beyonders within the Eternal Empire wasn't many, and every single one represented the foundation of not only the Empire but also the species. And in terms of powerful Beyonders, not just those who just entered the Beyonder Realm or were already very powerful, there was even less of them.
For the Eternal Imperium of the Asurya, Grandmaster Byrmellir was one of the pillars of the Empire, together with a few other old fossils of the Asuryani and Votans, who represented the pinnacle of the Imperial power.
Just their presence alone was enough for the other High-Level Civilizations to stay away from declaring all-out war on the Eternal Empire. If the Beyonders started fighting among each other, especially the ones with Super-High Risk Primal Psyker Ability or other powerful abilities, then it would be an unprecedented degree of destruction.
"Of the surrounding galaxies that were mapped, the Andromeda Galaxy has one of the highest numbers of Beyonders and is considered a relatively powerful galaxy. If we don't count the galaxies that are under the control of the Mind Flayers or swarming with the Arachnids, obviously..."
Mind Flayers, while powerful, were not unified and very often waged wars against each other for technologies, resources, manpower, territories, and practically everything else.
Arachnids, meanwhile, were far more peculiar than the Mind Flayers...
Every Swarm of the Arachinds was led by a Queen, and each Queen had their own territories, which were distributed in a way where there wouldn't be much infighting between the various Swarms.
In this regard, they were far better than the Mind Flayers, but it also resulted in a precarious situation when various Swarms essentially refused to cooperate even on the gravest matters.
One could say that each Queen was an individual who refused to have anything to do with the other Queen. When the Queen matured, she would typically leave the Swarm where she was born and create her own.
Right now, the Imperium was bordering with the Swarms were mostly led by younger Queens whose Swarms and Hives were only newly created, so their technological level wasn't particularly high, as well as their numbers.
The Arachnids, while being bugs and intent in their essence, even though they were a bit oversized, also utilized various types of technologies.
That was the maximum that Arcturus could find about the hierarchy of the Arachnids from the Extranet and Imperial NetSphere.
"Do you think we have a good chance against the Greenskins and Mind Flayers that are coming just after them?"
As they were eating the dessert, they started talking about the upcoming situation, which was something akin to a looming threat on the horizon, an everpresent that was always with them, but right now, it wasn't showing itself very much for the time being.

"We have done everything in our power to prevent the catastrophic scenario and these Star Systems around the Rylon Star Systems are fortified to the extreme limits and are the gate to the colonized planets of the Eternal Empire. And the headquarters of the Imperial Military have already sent reinforcements that are already on the way."
The Eternal Empire of Asurya was rather interested in destroying the Mind Flayers's Mind Fleet Leviathan or at least a large part of the Mind Fleet Leviathan. Mostly due to the technologies and resources they could obtain from the Mind Fleet Leviathan...
It wasn't very hard for the Military High Command to send reinforcements that were right now waiting at the hidden location in an entirely different Star Domain and waiting for the opportunity to conduct the space jump to the Rylon Star System, ambushing the Mind Flayers.
"Fortunately, at least the Orks and Mind Flayers are not really cooperating, or else the situation would be almost unsalvagable..."
At least, this was the impression that everyone gained from the information that was gathered about the Orkish WAAAGH! that was about the attack on the Alaric Star Domain and the Mind Fleet Leviathan that was also targeting the Imperial Space.
"The chances of the Mind Flayers working with anyone else who is not Mind Flayer are nigh impossible; the eldritch aberrations are too arrogant to actually work with anyone else, so the most probable scenario is that they would be waiting for the right opportunity when both sides are weakened.
Some of our strategists are speculating that the Mind Flayers are targeting not only the Imperial Space but also the Orkish WAAAGH!"
That certainly made sense from a certain point of view, because while the Orkish Teknology was almost non-existent, but they had vast numbers, powerful numbers, and a lot of raw materials on their spaceships that represented strong temptation for the Mind Flayers.
"Of course, only the space squids would be so arrogant to actually dare enslave Orks en masse... pretty foolish thing if you ask me."
Bator-Commandant Irene Verinus Tarun nodded at my statement because enslaving Orks was just a recipe for trouble. Nobody would be sane enough to enslave the Greenskins en masse, especially due to their latent psionic potential, which could practically lead to mass rebellion at any given time.
"They are doing it all the time; for them, Orks are the perfect slaves because they are very strong combat force, and in their grandeur of delusions, they believe that they can keep them docile. However, I had to admit that from time to time; it was fun to read reports about the Orks slave rebellion when Boss appeared among the enslaved population."
When Orkish Boss emerged from the captured Orks, then it would always inevitably lead to a large-scale rebellion among the captured Orks. With the emergence of the Ork Boss, their latent psionic potential, which was usually sealed by the Mind Flayers when they were enslaved, would immediately awaken.
Upon the awakening of their psionic potential, all constraints binding them would break apart, and the Orks would break free from their enslavement, generally leading to a great slaughter of the Mind Flayers that were keeping them enslaved.
There were even cases when entire smaller Mind Fleets were destroyed, because smaller Mind Fleets had way less powerhouses than the larger ones and their technological level was also inferior to the larger Mind Fleets.
Coupled with the fact that even smaller Mind Fleets could have a large population of slaves, it would typically end in complete slaughter and destruction of the entire Mind Fleets. The rest of the dinner went rather well, and after one more hour they spent discussing the Imperial Politics and state of the Andromeda Galaxy, they departed from the Celestial Horizons.
"Thank you for the dinner, Sir Crawford."
Together with the Bator-Commandant Irene Verinus Tarun, he went to the headquarters within the Starfort Lycurgos. She gave him a nod before she went to the headquarters, as this was the place where she lived.
Some of the senior high-ranking members of the Imperial Military stationed within the Starfort Lycurgos of the local defense fleet were living in the headquarters.

Two days later, after dinner with the Bator-Commandant Irene Verinus Tarun, Arcturus was undergoing military drills at the Imperial Military of the Eternal Imperium of the Asurya.
The training at the Imperial Military was hard for Arcturus, from a different sense than training with Grandmaster Byrmellir. The training here was more focused on the basics of Imperial strategy and tactics directly during the fight on the battlefield.
Not including various physical training and other things, mostly for Arcturus to acclimatize to fighting in the group, something that he was absolutely horrid at when it came to. From the start, he was having a pretty hard time fighting in the group and not as the lone wolf.
This training at the Imperial Military often lasted for a few hours, afterwards he was rather free and thus, he was spending the rest of his time by training at the Dojo of the Grandmaster Byrmellir.
Mostly by practicing the Nuclear Chaos Formula and absorbing the Psionic Energy from the Psionic Energy Crystals that the Red Queen bought for him.

Based on the previous cultivation seasons with the Nuclear Chaos Formula, Arcturus already sensed that he was on the verge of breaking through to the Delta-Grade Psyker. Even his constitution got a bit stronger from absorbing the overwhelming amount of pure Psionic Energy.
'Not that far... just missing the last part.'
He could see that his Super-High Risk Primal Psyker Ability, Dimension Empyrean, was behaving in a way like it wanted to grow. The Psionic Energy Realm within his soul was already oversaturated with the Psionic Energy as well as his Psion Core.
