Stuck as a Villain!

Chapter 28: Lonely Seth~

Chapter 28: Lonely Seth~

The day passed rather smoothly for Seth. He was pretty much getting accustomed to his routine even though less time had passed. It was a kind of influence of this body and the small portion of the real Seth residing somewhere in his consciousness.

He didn't see Ciel even once and was sane for the other council members who were chatting about her absence from class as well. Somehow Seth knew the reason for the absence of the ideal diligent student like Ciel.

From the novel he read, Seth knew that Ciel comes from a family which would not have allowed her to be a weak-hearted soft lily for long.

And he preferred that kind of girl rather than those who take their eye away from the things they eventually have to face one day. Another reason why he feels Laila is a little annoying.

Even the main heroine, who was supposed to be a kind Saintess type of character has the guts to face a pack of low-grade wolves at the age of just ten.

So the reason why Ciel was possibly absent from the academy must be the sense of justice she carries in her heart which must have triggered a wrong button when Seth mercilessly slaughtered those bandits.

'I mean, weren't criminals meant to be hung?'

He didn't know what was wrong with the girl and not like he was going to ask her anyway. His mood and thought process could tremble by only one woman and that woman was currently walking some steps ahead of him.

Seth sped up himself before he matched his steps with Haruka and spoke in his usual tone albeit a little softer.

"Are you heading to cafèteria, Professor?"

"Ah!"

Haruka, being completely occupied with the food she would be eating after so long around this hour, was walking merrily to notice someone approaching her. After the initial yelp, she however calmed down soon.

"Ah, President Seth? Yes, I am. Are you too?"

Seth did have time and a definite motive to have a nice chat with her over lunch but if he nods his head now, he would have to go separately.

Generally, Professors and other instructors eat in their designated eatery and seldom enter the student's space. Seth asking Haruka to accompany him would be problematic in a variety of ways.

And he himself didn't want any rumors to circulate as of now since it would have a harsh effect on her job.

"No, I have work left. I will yet again eat after school… alone."

The left side of his brain throbbed as it seemed the previous owner of the body just yelled in frustration. It was understandable since the word Seth used, at last, was completely not like him.

Pretending to be innocent and such when he can have lunch right now and go back to the mansion as well if he really feels lonely.

'Well, there's no harm in lying when wooing a woman… '

Seth shrugged off the pain and continued walking forward with his eyes solemn and a sigh leaking every once in a while as the older woman glanced at him with worries practically blinding her vision.

She thought of an idea and brightened up once again.

"Then how about, I eat half of my fill right now and eat the other half with the President? And anyway, with my belly full I feel sleepy so might I as well, follow this routine to see what might change?"

Seth halted in his steps, acting a little startled when he very much predicted such an outcome. His eyes which generally remain narrowed, grew round as he stared at the woman for some seconds.

Haruka also naturally halted seeing his clearly surprised expression.

"*Cough* Then I will take up your kind proposal, Professor, and wait for you after school."

Seth did want to act surprised but didn't want to attract attention so he coughed and after stating his response, he started walking again.

Haruka, who thoroughly enjoyed such a reaction from the ever-stern President, giggled faintly as she also started to walk beside him.

'It's nice to see President being himself around me… '

The silly sensei thought that she was leading the situation by preventing Seth from feeling lonely. Little did she think, how fluently Seth was creating more and more opportunities for them to come across.

…_________…

After parting ways with Haruka, Seth started walking toward the indoor gym where he thought to practice some of his skills.

The written Re-Evaluation exams for the first year were divided into two divisions. Half of the students were allowed in the first half of the day, that is, from eight to twelve.

Currently, there were ten minutes remaining to twelve, which meant the first slot of students would be leaving the main building pretty soon.

Not wanting to face the tons of greetings that would be flowing toward him in a short time if he stays there, Seth started walking fast to the gym which was built separately from the Academic Block.

However someone caught him midway and they just didn't pass a fleeting hello, but rather, tugged his sleeve from behind.

'I never felt someone… '

Sethe was a little taken aback by how someone was able to sneak up on him, but as soon as his eyes fell on the person he concluded the reason for it.

"Are you okay, Prez? You seemed to be in a hurry."

As the person said those things after letting go of Seth's sleeve, she tucked her fallen hair behind her ear, exposing her cute earlobe to the man in front.

But Seth was much more focused on determining the reason for her to approach him.

'"You…"

Despite knowing her entire being, Seth pretended to be forgetful of her name before the girl pouted slightly and spoke in a complaining tone.

"I am your Annie, Prez. How can you forget about me?"
