Chapter 274: Inheritance? Auction Ends (1/2)
"Well, if he is on your hit list, you'll need more time to kill him and the rest on your list," Erix wryly smiled.
"Yep, but it won't be that long," Lilith cheekily grinned. "All thanks to you. Let's get you to manifest your Bloodline, and then Rin and I can also evolve our Bloodline through you."
"Pff, many already backed down," Rin chuckled upon seeing many returning to their seats after Bald Beast was killed.
"Anyone else wants to try?" Celene asked with a smile since the first come first serve didn't apply as many backed down.
Naturally, some still wanted to try and were confident.
The next one was a Royal-order.
He turned insane within two seconds.
After that, three more came, and all of them couldn't recover after one minute of turning insane and were ultimately killed by Executioner Lambo.
"You two still want to try?" Amu asked, eyeing Rin and Erix from the side.
Rin and Erix smiled as they stood up and left the room.
"Lady Lilith…" Lily was confident but worried at the same time.
Lilith shook her head, "Let them go. This is their path."
"Yes. A certain way of living is a must, and these two have it. It increases your soul's potential a lot," Amu nodded.
"They had decided and are fully aware of the dire consequences," Lilith said. "If they die, it only means their journey was until that moment."
"But they won't die," Lilith added with conviction, her voice firm as she believed in Rin and Erix.
Behind the stage, a middle-aged man sat on the floor cross-legged. He had long black hair and a long wild black beard.
'This is the last chance. I'll have to go to another Abyss if no one here succeeds in resonating with the statue.'

The old man was watching the platform, and he was the one who brought the statue here.
"Two more? Let's see," the old man looked at Rin and Erix arriving from behind the platform.
After arriving before the statue, Erix said, "We'll look at it together."
"Noble-order?!"
"Are they nuts?"
"I feel like I saw them somewhere…"
"They must have a death wish, haha. That's why they came here together."
Rin and Erix could hear taunts, exclamations, and sneers, but they remained unperturbed.
"Get ready," old man Lambo nodded and removed his barriers before covering Rin and Erix along with the statue.
"They might kill each other, so you won't have to make a move, old man."
"Haha, true."
'Ready, Rin?' Erix asked and grabbed her hand.
'Yep,' Rin smiled. 'Amu's words gave us a good hint.'
Erix chuckled. 'Indeed. Let's start.'
Both of them used their Spiritual Mystic Eye and peered into the statue.
At first, only darkness greeted them, but then a pair of wrathful eyes manifested.
Filled with immense pain and only seeking destruction.
In just a second, Rin and Erix felt so much pressure that they were utterly helpless to move their limbs or think of anything else.
Those pair of eyes overwhelmed their consciousness.
But they started seeing more. They saw a silhouette of a man with someone in his arms.
Anguish, pain, and despair flooded before rage took over.
The scenery changed as they saw a massive scene of destruction on a cosmic scale, but in a mysterious dimension that didn't look like universe with planets and stars but exotic elemental structures of all kinds.
The silhouette danced, each step bringing out wrath and unleashing outside as utter destruction unfolded.
Rin and Erix remained in the same position and saw everything, feeling everything.
The old man behind the platform watched them, but soon his eyes displayed shock.
Selene and old man Lambo were surprised to see a different reaction on Rin and Erix's faces from others who spiritually peered into the statue before them.
Most of them were entirely blank once they peered into it and would suddenly snap out, taken over by destructive impulse.
However, Rin and Erix…their eyes dropped tears while their faces remained blank.
The statue faintly shone, finally shocking the rest as ten seconds passed!
"This…" Old man Lambo and Selene also turned shocked from surprised.
Selene glanced behind the platform and sent her thoughts to the middle-aged man.
'Does this indicate that they passed, sir?'
The old man snapped out of his thought, joy within his eyes as he swiftly nodded and replied, 'Indeed. They successfully resonated with the statue. It is theirs now.'
'Whether they follow up having it in the future is up to you.'
"It seems we can move to the next item now," Selene smiled and announced, but the entire dome was still silent.
Even more silent after the announcement.
But this silence only lasted for a few seconds before an uproar erupted.
Rin and Erix were still in the trans as the statue continued shining.
After half a minute, the statue mysteriously turned into white motes with a purple hue and vanished.
However, Rin and Erix gained an additional thing.
A mark. An Eye.
However, nobody could see this mark.
Both Rin and Erix had a closed vertical eye on their forehead as a mark after the statue turned into the motes.
Both of them opened their eyes, and their grips holding each other's hands tightened.
[Congratulations. You have been marked as one of the candidates for the 9th dimension's Paradox Path Inheritance that will begin after four hundred and thirty-seven years.]
[Please survive and get strong enough until then.]
When they got this notification, both of them wryly smiled and put it away at the back of their mind.
However, what they gained was not only the notification.
"Let's return," Erix vanished from the spot and teleported directly into their VIP room, shocking everyone.
"I remember now! Those two are Fist of Abyss and Anarchic Blade Dancer!"
Uproar ensued again as people in the dome discussed, but they soon quieted down as Selene's voice suppressed theirs and spread.
"Everyone! Let's present you all with the next item. It's a Weapon Seed with a spirit, specifically attributed towards Ice and having a source of an attribute-concept of ice!"
Meanwhile, Rin and Erix were sharing the details of the statue and what they found with others.
"I can't sense anything in your forehead," Amu said with squinting eyes.
"Eh, but we felt it," Erix rubbed his forehead.
"Forget, it will appear later when the time comes I guess," Rin chuckled.
"Yep, we gained something else, a more concrete benefit too," Erix grinned.
Waving his hand, Erix and Rin shared a particular detail in the party as everyone saw a window panel.
