Chapter 3: The Blue-Purple Blood Crystal Flower

Chapter 3: The Blue-Purple Blood Crystal Flower

< Chapter 3: The Blue-Purple Blood Crystal Flower >

The vast earth was alive with the roars of strange beasts and the cries of birds. Waves of energy spread in all directions, each containing various destructive powers that could claim lives in an instant. Even the true gods had to tread carefully in the wilds, fearing to provoke some terrifying creature.

Whoosh!

A ripple in space streaked across the sky—it was Luo Feng, his servant Morosa, and Moyu Hu, charging headlong through the void, headed straight for Huyang City.

“There’s an Eternal True God.”

“It is the Eternal True God.”

From afar, the previously roaring creatures were frightened into diving underwater, while a large flock of birds and beasts in the sky steered clear, leaving a silence in the wake of the spatial fluctuation. No beast dared to make a sound.

“All the creatures have gone quiet,” remarked a team of true god explorers, watching the fading ripple in the distance with admiration and reverence. “Only an Eternal True God could be so bold in the wilds.”

“If only I could become an Eternal True God in this lifetime…” mused a member of the team.

“Chan Muhe, you really dare to dream! My wish is much simpler; just to be able to settle in Huyang City would satisfy me.”

“Huyang City, that’s a major city. Living there for an era costs a chaos crystal—are you able to afford that?”

The group of true gods exchanged a few words, then continued on their way.

As Luo Feng and his group flew, they hurtled through the air without restraint.

“Is this how the Eternal True God travels?” Moyu Hu reveled in the experience. “In the past, when I left the city, I was always cautious, concealing all traces of my presence. This kind of unrestrained, exhilarating flight is truly liberating!”

Luo Feng and Morosa observed the Origin Continent closely. Previously, they had only heard reports, but now they were seeing it with their own eyes: towering mountains that stretched for billions of miles, rivers that seemed endless, mysterious and unfathomable lakes, and all sorts of magical beasts. Both Luo Feng and Morosa found these sights novel and intriguing.

The creatures were highly sensitive, hiding away at the slightest disturbance.

“They are indeed cautious,” noted Luo Feng, who did not bother chasing these weaker creatures. First, each beast had its own unique talents, making them difficult to capture. Secondly, the weaker creatures were of little value, not worth his effort.

“Supreme Lord, ahead lies the den of a beast of the Eternal True God level,” Moyu Hu pointed towards a distant spot. “The creature is known as the Horned Serpent, adept at burrowing underground. The armies of Huyang City have attempted to encircle and capture it multiple times without success.”

“Horned Serpent?” Luo Feng’s interest was piqued.

A creature of the Eternal True God level was highly valuable! Having arrived in the Origin Continent almost penniless and unwilling to sell the rare treasures he possessed, Luo Feng naturally had to find ways to gather resources.

“Keep your aura as a Void True God, don’t scare off that Horned Serpent,” Luo Feng communicated telepathically.

“Yes, Master.” As a Perfect Divine Body, Morosa, disguised perfectly, not revealing any flaws in his aura since his arrival in the Origin Continent, disguised as the aura of a Void True God. As a Boundary Beast, arriving on the Origin Continent required absolute discretion. He only needed sufficient time and energy, and eventually, he would grow to his peak.

However, Luo Feng needed enough trials to grow.

Luo Feng, Morosa, and Moyu Hu slowed their flight speed, began to converge their aura fluctuations, and approached the area of the horned serpent’s lair.

“Buzz~~~”

In the distant deep mountains, a huge golden single eye glanced at Luo Feng and the others from afar, instantly making Luo Feng feel the spatial pressure skyrocket billions of times. The space began to distort, and the nearby rocks and trees silently turned into powder.

Luo Feng’s divine power naturally resisted this terrifying pressure, also protecting his companions.

“Eternal True God, what are you doing here?” The enormous horned serpent in the depths of the mountains looked at Luo Feng with wariness, sending its thoughts from afar.

Luo Feng ignored it and headed faster towards the mountain.

“Have the guts to keep chasing.” The thought from the huge horned serpent followed, and then, it disappeared into thin air.

Luo Feng stopped, sensing that the aura of the horned serpent had penetrated deep into the earth and was still escaping deeper.

“Earthly stealth?” Luo Feng frowned, “The time, space, and even matter of the Origin Continent are incredibly stable. Even for me, burrowing is troublesome. Yet this horned serpent disappeared in an instant. It must have mastered some kind of fundamental law of the earth.”

“Master, should we continue the pursuit?” Morosa asked.

“We won’t catch up,” Luo Feng shook his head.

He mastered the source of life and death, and Morosa was skilled only in the paths of destruction. Both were better suited for direct combat, rather mediocre in the art of ‘Earth Escaping’.

“These exotic beasts are indeed miraculous,” Luo Feng reflected inwardly. “Despite their low intelligence, they naturally master the sources of laws through their bloodlines. Even the top exotic beasts can possess the strength of Divine Kings just by virtue of their bloodlines.”

“Master, this horned serpent really is timid,” Morosa remarked.

“It is quite timid,” Luo Feng smiled, sensing his presence from afar and immediately using Earth Escape to flee.

“It’s not their fault,” Luo Feng said. “These exotic beasts of the Eternal True God level possess such strength due to their bloodline talents. Whereas the cultivators from myriad races grasp secret techniques and wield powerful weapons, even comprehending the essence of laws. At the same level, an Eternal True God level exotic beast usually cannot stand against an Eternal True God. So, those that dare to confront an Eternal True God directly are very few.”

“But once they do dare to confront directly, they are not ordinary Eternal True God level exotic beasts,” Luo Feng continued. “Among them, there occasionally appear some extremely powerful ones.”

At the same level, the stronger exotic beasts generally have more special bloodlines and higher values. One such beast might be worth as much as ten or even more ordinary ones. Luo Feng was still quite eager to encounter such exotic beasts.

“It’s still difficult to hunt an Eternal True God level exotic beast,” Luo Feng shook his head, deciding not to waste more time, “Let’s continue on our way.”

Eternal True God level exotic beasts, living in places suited to their bloodline talents, were particularly adept at fleeing.

Sigh.

Luo Feng and his companions continued their journey toward Huyang City.

Deep within the mountain range, two teams of Void True Gods were locked in fierce combat.

“We are Team Bing Yi from the Ninth Banquet Hall of Huyang City; we were only out here gathering ingredients. Please, show us some mercy,” a rock creature struggled as he spoke, leading a team that originally consisted of over a hundred members. Now, with all the True God members perished, only three Void True Gods were left desperately defending themselves.

They had not anticipated that gathering ingredients, a task perceived as relatively safe, could turn so perilous.

The ten shadows besieging them showed no mercy, coordinating with each other to eradicate them swiftly.

“If we have no grievances yet you strike so harshly, we’ll drag you down with us if we must die.”

“Let’s fight!”

The other two Void True Gods had already gone mad, one of them unleashing golden wings with terrifying fluctuations bursting forth.

“You are too slow,” a deep voice echoed.

The three members of the Ninth Banquet Hall’s Team Bing Yi, caught up in their frenzy, suddenly ceased all motion as this deep voice sounded. Their bodies naturally disintegrated, souls included, dying instantly—only their belongings remained.

“Lord Commander, it is our failure,” the ten gray shadows spoke respectfully.

“Continue. Kill all beings that appear in this area,” the deep voice ordered.

“Lord Commander,” the leading shadow hesitated, “we were ordered to head to Huyang City and must arrive by a deadline. Today is the last day.”

“Do your job,” the deep voice commanded.

“Yes.”

The leading shadow dared not say more. The ten shadows continued to silently guard the vast area, ruthlessly killing any creature that passed by.

This vast area actually harbored a terrifying force that concealed its core region.

In the core area, a green plant was growing, and at its top bloomed a crystalline blue-purple flower! The fragrance of the flower spread, causing the surrounding natural energy to become chaotic.

Beside this plant, a figure in a black robe sat watching over it.

“I didn’t expect that after leaving Shiguo and taking up my post in Huyang City of Yuguo, I would encounter a ‘Blue-Purple Blood Crystal Flower’ maturing on the way. When unripe, the Blue-Purple Blood Crystal Flower appears ordinary, with nothing special about it. But once it blooms… its fragrance affects the soul and becomes very noticeable. It blooms for about ten days, until it naturally falls off and can be used in medicine,” the figure in the black robe said with fervent eyes. “It is said that the Blue-Purple Blood Crystal Flower can only grow where the Divine Kings’ blood has been spilled in battle. This single flower is worth at least a hundred thousand cosmic sands.”

“In my cultivation journey so far, all the weapons and treasures I’ve gathered amount to only about ten or twenty thousand cosmic sands,” he continued with burning eyes. “If discovered by any Eternal True God, they would definitely contend with me for it. Even after being exposed, the army from Huyang City would come to kill.”

“There are only a few days left until it naturally falls off,” the figure in the black robe waited patiently.

He did not allow any news of this place to leak out, even though he had tried his best to conceal it, fearing that any passing creatures might notice, thus he killed all who passed by this area.

Suddenly—

The figure in the black robe frowned slightly and took out a messaging token.

“What’s the matter?” the figure in the black robe asked.

“Black Domor, why haven’t you reached Huyang City yet?” A powerful, mountain-like voice transmitted through, “According to Lord Hou’s orders, today is the last day, you must arrive at Huyang City.”

“There was a delay, I hope President Zanyun can understand,” the figure in the black robe responded with a light laugh, “There shouldn’t be anything urgent in Huyang City that needs my immediate attention, right?”

“After all, Huyang City is Yuguo’s Huyang City, and our branch in Shiguo has always been short of Eternal True Gods,” the mountain-like voice softened, “I won’t report your delay, but you should still arrive at Huyang City as soon as possible.”

“Rest assured, I’ll be there within ten days,” the figure in the black robe declared.

Soon after, the transmission was cut off.

The figure in the black robe smiled and put away the messaging token. Military orders, for Eternal True Gods, were somewhat loosely binding. They were already core members of their groups, and minor issues were not usually pursued strictly.

“Nowadays, nothing is more important than this Blue-Purple Blood Crystal Flower,” the figure in the black robe murmured, captivated by the fully blooming, fragrant blue-purple flower.

Luo Feng, accompanied by Boundary Beast Morosa and Moyu Hu, was flying through the void, heading straight for Huyang City.

“Hmm?” Luo Feng suddenly looked in a direction far away, noticing a distant range of mountains and sensing a terrifying power hidden deep within them, tinged faintly with blue and purple.

“Could there be a rare treasure?” Luo Feng thought to himself.

Even among the Eternal True Gods, there were significant differences.

Their divine bodies varied in size, the purity of their divine power differed, and so did their mastery of the sources of laws. The secret techniques they practiced and the magical weapons and treasures they possessed all influenced the strength of an Eternal True God.

As a being with a Perfect Divine Body, even stronger than an ‘Infinite Divine Body,’ Luo Feng’s true form, once revealed, was immense and vast. Naturally, his sensing range was far beyond that of a typical Eternal True God.

His sensing range and sensitivity reached incredible levels. His control and sensitivity to auras could even be described as ‘perfect.’ Even some ancient beings had to rely on methods involving causality and space-time to catch a glimpse of Luo Feng’s reality.

“There must be an Eternal True God hidden there, his power cloaking the aura of the treasure,” Luo Feng’s eyes lit up. “Rare treasures of heaven and earth are nurtured by the cosmos and belong to no one. They are for those who have the ability to claim them!”

Thinking this, Luo Feng conveniently stored Moyu Hu inside the Star Tower.
