They were many times weaker than a divine-ranked tree like the Scarlet Sin Tree and were torn apart and crushed by its frantic movement. Their blood mixed in the blood pool, further darkening the already ominous pool.

The next moment, the Scarlet Sin Tree actually let out a deep, guttural roar like a beast. Its sound perfectly reflected the terror it felt just now. It was a horrifying roar that echoed through the air and made the very ground tremble along with the blood pool.

The tree roared in fear and agony. Its branches whipped through the air, lashing out in every direction. They twisted and turned, trying to fend off the approaching danger. Its branches and roots enlarged and even reached up towards the sky where Alex floated. They moved with surprising speed and force.

As the tree's branches shot towards Alex, it was clear they intended to crush him. The tree's ferocious attempt to protect itself was both desperate and aggressive.

However, Alex remained calm and composed. His expression never changed.

"Humph!" Alex coldly snorted and waved his hand.

With a simple wave of his hand, a powerful force erupted from him. This powerful force caused a wave of terrifying momentum to erupt from his body that rippled outwards. The force was so immense that it instantly shattered the attacking branches and roots aimed at him. They disintegrated into ash, falling away as the tree's wails grew even louder.

Anyone who heard these wails could feel that a creature was screaming and crying in pain, a pain that was filled with both agony and despair. However, no one would try to get close to see what was happening because its wails sounded sinister and filled with malevolent intent.

The tree's very existence was eerie and dark to begin with. How can its painful screams sound like it wanted to beg for help?

The tree's once vibrant red glow was quickly overshadowed by the consuming blackness of the Dark Flame Liquid.

As the Dark Flame Liquid burned the tree, the tree's agony became more and more palpable. It writhed in pain, its roots and branches flailing wildly as it tried to resist the consuming flames. The tree's attempts to survive became more frantic. It lashed out at the blood pool, causing more chaos and destruction, but all its efforts were futile.

The flames of the Dark Flame Liquid were relentless, feeding off the tree's dark essence and growing stronger with every moment.

The once mighty Scarlet Sin Tree that had dominated the Dark Pool for an unknown number of years and consumed who knows how many souls was now being consumed by a flame. The cold flames move slowly to the trunk, burning it and consuming the dark essence within. The flame did not spare anything, it devoured the roots, branches, and even the fruits that hung ominously.

The Scarlet Sin Tree's sinister aura which had been overwhelming all this while began to fade immediately. The Dark Flame Liquid absorbed the dark energies and negative essence that had sustained the tree for countless years, and in the process, the flame was evolving. It was becoming more intense and potent.

"This flame truly deserves to be a marvelous treasure!"

Alex could not help but mutter after seeing the growth of the tree with his own eyes.

In fact, he has another flame that could devour. It was his Lawful Spirit, the Devouring Flame. [Ref. Ch: 204]

However, he doesn't know whether this flame could reach the height of the Dark Flame Liquid.

Both flames could consume and grow stronger, however, both were different in essence. One was dark and cold in nature, while the other was fiery and intense.

The tree's movement started to slow down as it was being consumed by the Dark Flame Liquid. As the final remnants of the tree were consumed, the Dark Flame Liquid seemed to pulse with horrific power. The aura surrounding the Dark Flame Liquid grew more pronounced, and then, a chilling presence erupted from it.

The Dark Flame Liquid flickered and rippled at the same time, and an intense heart swept over the surroundings, not only affecting the Blood Pool but also a much larger area outside the range of the pool.

Alex squinted his eyes, not expecting the Dark Flame Liquid to start evolving at this moment.

Just like the Scarlet Sin Tree, this flame was also a Divine-ranked Treasure. At first, Alex thought that this flame might need to devour a large amount of dark essence and negative substances, but now, all his worries were pointless.

"It appears that Xue had spent a lot to nurture this flame. It was only on the verge of evolution. It only needed an opportunity, and this Scarlet Sin Tree gave it that opportunity!"
