Chapter 472 Spring Cleaning
472 Spring Cleaning
With over a hundred clones working together to tackle the mountain of registries, the almost impossible-looking workload ended before midnight. However, I'm predicting that more of it will arrive tomorrow.
Anyway, it was a waste to forcefully destroy my clones after they finished their jobs, so I just assigned them random tasks and left. They should be able to work for at least a week before the energy within them completely dries up.
If only my clones could speak, then I could just stay in the Debauchery Hall and wait for their occasional reports... I should find time to "upgrade" them later.
The next day, there were no stacks of papers on my table yet when I arrived.
Looks like my clones were doing their job, working nonstop.
Today, Zeshion and Zeta had to move five more countries back. From that alone, I could already tell that at least a million more refugees would be welcomed soon.
"I also need to rush building more infrastructure, like homes and dormitories, providing them jobs, doing relief operations... I got lots of things on my plate."
Of course, most of those were also already handled by my clones. Some of them were even helping out on-site, letting the task progress faster. In short, only a few of those tasks were left untouched. Nôv(el)B\\jnn
"..."
But should I really be doing that?

As they say, the right person for the right job. I can leave those menial tasks to my clones and focus on something that only I, the original, could do. However, I couldn't think of one immediately.
"Master."
Until Ember popped in, carrying a tablet in her arms.
"Fatima asked me to tell you that the Research Facility finally cleared all tasks under the First Stage and will be moving on to the Second Stage already. Also, Fang and Igni were asking permission to go to the borders to fight against Demons..."
While she was talking, however, an idea popped into my head. Right... there's that!
"Ember, come with me! Let's go and help out God Zeshion and Goddess Zeta!"
Ember stopped talking for an instant, her mouth left agape as she tilted her head in confusion.
"... Eh?"
---
God Zeshion and Goddess Zeta were taking things slow, as they would need to wait for each kingdom to either beg for forgiveness and ask for help or save every monster, beast, and human that was about to become a sacrifice due to their inept leaders.
As such, they could only handle up to 5 kingdoms a day.
Since the plan would fail if the countries that were returned earlier and got bound by a "slave contract" went and spread the information to the others, we made sure to block the borders for two weeks, the entire duration of the move.
"And so, in lieu of God Zeshoin and Goddess Zeta, we will be the ones to perform your return!"
I announced this to the members of the royal family of whatever kingdom this was. I wasn't interested in recalling the name of a kingdom that would either vanish soon or become an obedient slave.
Of course, they were showing derisive smiles as they muttered in loud voices as if letting me hear on purpose things like "Finally!" "What a waste of time. As expected, a kid can't be a great ruler." or "What lousy management. It takes a week just to return us to our previous location when you gathered us all in half a day?!"
"..."
I simply smiled while grabbing Ember's wrists from behind, stopping her from stepping forward, and smacking everyone who left those remarks. Although she's now at the God level, her physical strength wasn't that different from when she was in the 7th stage, so holding her back was easy.
After calming her down, we began the preparation to teleport the entire kingdom to their previous location. Of course, Ember would be the one doing it, as I can't move such a large space myself.
Ember had to concentrate hard, letting her Space Energy spread all throughout the entire kingdom as a "marker." It was time-consuming and tiring, which ended up using 10% of Ember's total energy in the end.
*VUOOOOM!*
After she was done preparing, the space energy that she spread around became activated, releasing a faint blue light to the entire kingdom.
I was told about this later on, but apparently, moving an entire kingdom was a feat that only the God/Goddess of Space and its tamer can perform. Ember being able to do this despite not being one was just an anomaly. An outlier.
"Done!"
Ember announced shortly after.
I tried sensing our surroundings and realized that we really did move from within the group of kingdoms to a far-off location without even feeling the movement through space!
Ember staggered a little and had to lean against me just to keep standing... Of course, this was just an act. After all, we need an excuse to stay here and watch as things unfold.
"With this, our side of the deal has been fulfilled. From now on, our Heaven's Republic will not interfere with you, unless you decide to form another alliance contract."
I narrowed my eyes, activating the passive effect of the "God's Master" System Function and intimidating everyone, especially the old man wearing a tall crown. Its effect was instantaneous, as everyone present backed off a few steps unconsciously before turning red in a mix of embarrassment and anger after realizing what they had done.
Soon, they left Ember and me alone, returning inside their "castle" as if running away from me.
"With this, the first stage is cleared..."
I whispered while trying to push Ember off of me... but she refused to budge. Her hands were wrapping around my waist tightly, not willing to let go.
"Master, we can't stop the act yet. We're still within their view~!"
Ember exclaimed, but her words lacked persuasiveness as she pressed her face against my chest and rubbed while sniffing. Since when did Ember become such a shameless girl?
Well, not that I hate it, anyway.
Just like that, we found a place that had a cool shade and waited. Ember, of course, continued sticking to me like she was glued to my body, not willing to let go even for a short moment.
That situation lasted for a few minutes, until a panic-stricken soldier ran across the courtyard, rushing toward the castle to bring news.
"D-Demons have destroyed our borders!"
