Chapter 158: Surviving Dragon Breath

Seth was sensitive to aura and he already knew this boss level is beyond him. As he was as strong as Vela Dragon if not stronger.

Before he lunged forward, Seth retaliated.

"Halo…"

A pulse of pressure pressed on everyone around and made all the monsters smash to the ground.

[You have killed Level 1 Yellow Monster]

[You have Killed Level 1 Yellow Monster]

[You have killed Level 2 Yellow Monster]

[You have Killed Level 3 Yellow Monster]

[You have killed Level 4 Yellow Monster]

[You have Killed Level 5 Yellow Monster]

…..

He had killed all the monsters that were level 1 to 5 in a 50m radius of him. As for those above, they were brought to the brink of death.

The Chief Monster was forced to kneel, and his head cracked while red-yellow blood seeped out of his body.

His Staff floated beside him, aiming and killing the other monsters while he grabbed two treasures he obtained from Retina's sister.

Holding the two red stones, Seth felt his control over red was amplified. One stone was Signature Stone, which can store red liquid inside while the other was River Stone which can summon the red river.

[You have obtained Red Power]

And together, they work wonders but they don't work now.

[What are you doing!]

Seth heard a voice in his head. "I'm borrowing their power!"

Retina's sister can feel he was going to use them. And out of nowhere, a flood of red stream appeared but at that moment, something happened. The whole world froze, as two powerhouses collided in a skyscraper.

Zambia has got what he wanted and the City Guardian was pursuing him.

The entire top of the building exploded, and a bloodied human that lost his left hand jumped out and glided into space. A serpentine dragon with yellow scales followed suit, trying to catch him, but its every move was sluggish as all movement is hindered.

The dragon was forcing itself to move in that time domain.

Nonetheless, dragons are known to have exaggerated powerful bodies and are an unstoppable force, especially Adult Dragons because they have unlocked their Dragon Might.

ROAR!

The dragon roar shook the city and almost even time resumed, however, everything froze again.

"Don't ever bring this boy again!" The armoured man growled at Samsi. But the boy was shocked as Zambia was literary surviving and clashing with a fucking Adult Dragon.

This is insane.

Adult Dragons have active Dragon Voice and can invoke magic with them. They also have Dragon Might that protects them from any damage and also suppresses any lower life form without exception.

But Zambia was injured but he was fucking fighting and running without even slowing down.

"Temporal Warrior, a Class that was created to give humanity a chance to clash with beings higher than them. That bastard Zambia took Yellow Sand Hourglass to unlock this sacred skill. Frozen Time."

The armoured man gnashed his teeth in anger.

"Why didn't you make me one? Why did you say, I should be an Agent of Light, the Sun above Amma? It seemed like, you don't want me to succeed you, since no matter what I do, you Temporal warriors will never be defeated!"

Samsi said dejectedly. He was amazed by Zambia's feats.

The armoured man said, "Because, I regret becoming Temporal Warrior. If I were an Agent of Light, I would have a kingdom by now. I will have to revive my family legacy." The man said with a flat voice lacking any emotions before he sighed.

"Temporal Powers are broken, feared and the warriors are nigh-impossible to kill but… because they are terrified, the whole world is against them. Power and abilities were invented to counter them."

After a moment of silence, he added, "Agent Of Light, is something you will be best at, and your name will echo throughout Amma. Trust me, I know what I'm doing!"

Samsi wasn't convinced but he knew there was an element of truth in that.

Zambia glided into the district where Seth was and he noticed the frozen player, for a reason he only knew, he stopped moving and attacked the snake dragon with a sound blast using his Drum artefact.

And he quickly dropped right where Seth was as if he can't move anymore, but also he increased the power of frozen time, which forced the dragon to be unmoving in the sky.

The Dragon, however, turned off Dragon Might and forced its mouth to open and released Dragon Breath which was not affected by frozen Time.

Immediately, Zambia vanished from where he was and the Dragon Breath went directly to seth.

[First Might Activated]

Seth has number 10 written on his right hand and that 10 reduces to 9, his mind returned and everything that happened, he remembered with startling clarity. He can also move in that Frozen Time, but it was too late, the Dragon Breath was upon him.

However Seth can feel the number 9 was reduced to 8, 7, 6, 5, 4 and then his cloak flapped and his Green Cloak upgrade sped up.

[Green Cloak upgraded]

However, Seth has no hope of surviving, as the breath scorching heat was already burning him as it came closer.

Kaboom.

The entire district was engulfed with yellow fire. Burning everyone and destroying the buildings.

"Why?" Samsi asked.

"Hmm!" The armoured man grimaced.

They all watched what Zambian did but didn't know why.

"I'm not watching," Samsi said, confused as he walked away. He didn't know why Zambia did that as they all know that Dragon Might is very dangerous and there might be real repercussions when a player was killed by it. Nevertheless, Zambia put Seth in harm's way.

To not be troubled by it, he just walked away.

.

.

.

"Damn, that was terrifying!"

[You have survived Dragon Breath, your halos grow stronger]

Seth sat behind a building, his hand holding the two red stones but they aren't linked to the reason he survived. It was his cloak's new ability.

Seth glanced at the Aspect description and thanked his luck for having it.

"Bubble Escape!"

Bubble escape transformed Seth into a red bubble right before any attack that would cause instant death and then splashed like red liquid when one of the liquid splatters appeared elsewhere and Seth appeared.

[Exertion Points: 90/200]

100 points of exertion were consumed for that but if Seth has good stamina then he will only feel a bit tired.

"This survival technique is similar to the one Blessing Winter. The one that made her into snowflakes!"

But looking at his legs, they were still shaking, and the breath was terrifying, it had something in it that made it different from normal attacks.

He wanted to read and understand the cloak's ability more but he was still in danger.

Looking from where he was hiding, he saw the whole street burnt and scorched black. And, there were floating yellow orbs strewn around.

When he killed the yellow monster, he did notice there was a red glow in their chest but now that the body was destroyed the yellow glow turned out to be a yellow core. This was the most common source of energy in the city Ash told him and it was the easiest obtainable reward.

Speaking up for the reward, Seth brought the belt given to him but was destroyed by the damn chief. "This game is petty!" Then he looked at the hundred of the yellow cores with the intention of gathering them all.

Ahh!

He looked toward the source of the sound. And he saw the chief's body scorched and his clothes gone, except the cape which was half burnt. He had no hands and legs and his chest was glowing with yellow that was spreading throughout his body and healing him.

With a thought, he called his staff and made it float above the chief and struck with an elevated strike before the chief fully recovered. However, the chief moved before the staff adjusted and appeared before Seth, his hand and leg healed but skinny. He punched Seth's chest.

"Forcefield!" Seth activated the first dependable skill he owned and that blasted away the chief back.

Seth frowned, he had thought of using this against Dragon Breath but it did not work, it didn't even activate, to begin with.

'Good thing that it did not activate!' Seth thought and then used the two stones.

"Summon River!"

Out of nowhere a red liquid flooded toward the chief, seth used Signature Stone and took control of the flood to entrap the chief. However, he made a portion of the river come to him.

But the chief chest released a powerful yellow ray of energy and pushed the river away, and then dashed to Seth.

Seth called back the red flood fast and used the one around him to cover him into a red cocoon.

Burble!

The red cocoon was struck by the Chief and then released great heat from its body, trying to burn away the red liquid.
