Chapter 79 - 79 Odd Feeling...
Sheng Ruming just nodded to show her he understood but Luo Lixi felt uneasy.
'You can come into my room whenever you want. It's not like I will forbid you. Instead, I will be more than happy if you come to my room more often.' Luo Lixi didn't know his inner thoughts but when she saw his playful eyes and the slight smile hanging in his lips, she felt extremely unbearable as if she was caught in some thievery. Sheng Ruming turned away his gaze when he saw her nervous expression.
Sheng Ruming was in a good mood. He totally forgot the unpleasant thoughts about his mother giving him the bag from his mind and decided to sort out the remaining things to do. He wanted to send some files to his father so that the latter could understand the things in the company more easily.
Sheng Haotin didn't need those but he was happy that the old man didn't meddle in his matters this time and thus Sheng Ruming decided he wanted to be a generous son who would help his father without any condition.
Luo Lixi remained quiet as she didn't know what else to say to him. Everyone was prohibited to enter his room without permission. She didn't know if he would have some negative thoughts about her.
At night, before he went away, he asked her to wait for him but he didn't come back. She guessed he might have forgotten it but she had waited for him till midnight.
When her sight fell on the plastic bag on the desk, she saw some products she had eaten a long time ago. She turned to ask about it to him but when she saw he was working in the laptop and had a serious expression on his face, she didn't make a single sound.

She walked to the desk without making any sound and curiously held the bag. The bag was semi-transparent, so she could see the things in there from the outside. When she peeked into the bag, she saw a bunch of food. At first, she was confused as she thought there might be some other things besides those but couldn't have known without checking it.
In those days, she was super bored. When she was at the Luo Corporation, her hands were always filled with many tasks she had to complete in a limited time period which her grandfather would set for her. If she failed to complete any of them, she would be punished. The fact that she was his beloved granddaughter wouldn't help her in those matters.
But now the time didn't seem to fly so easily like those times to her. It was really a wonder which made her to think deeply.
At the mention of her grandfather, she remembered she had asked Sheng Ruming to give her any news about her old man but he didn't.
'He must have forgotten it. He was very busy these days. I will ask him later.' Her naive mind found a reason for him but she didn't know if he told her about his grandfather's current condition, she would definitely leave his side and go to her home which he wouldn't and look in any circumstances.
Luo Lixi placed the book at a side of the table and curiously opened the bag. There were many foods which she used to eat during her adolescence. Her caretaker at the Luo Resident would buy them for her as those were very nutritious and full of healthy protein which is very beneficial for the proper growth of a girl.
It's been many years since she had last eaten them. Even if those were healthy, it could increase people's weight easily. So she had refused to eat them after she had turned nineteen when her body showed signs of extra fat.
Sheng Ruming gave her a side glance when he saw her fiddling with the things of that bag. He didn't mind it when she touched his things without permission. It's not like she needed to ask for his permission though.
"Why did you buy so many things?!" Luo Lixi stopped stirring the things and asked him. It was unlikely for him to buy so much food for himself but if he had bought them for her then that was different. She would gladly take them. She had lost much weight in the time during her coma. So now she could eat them but only after if he gave her his permission.
Sheng Ruming took his laptop and sat down by the bedside. He unfolded it and opened it with a very complex passcode. He totally focused on the screen as he began to type in the keyboard at an incredible speed.
Amid his frantic typing he gave her a glance as he replied to her earlier question, "Someone gave me."
She nodded in understanding and went back to her chair with the book and began to concentrate on reading it since he didn't tell her anything else.
But no matter how much she tried, she couldn't keep her mind in reading. Various matters would fly in her mind and sometime she would become dumbfounded by those crazy imaginations.
After finishing the task which was to transfer all the information related to the progress of the little projects which could be finished in two months to his father, Sheng Ruming closed the laptop.
He noticed she was reading a book of a classic series. But her sight was fixed on a single Chinese character.
Sheng Ruming stood up and walked to the desk. He placed the laptop on it. Then he saw the bag and remembered she had been stirring the things in it. He knew her character very well so he knew if he didn't tell her, she wouldn't take anything even if she liked it.
He took the bag and placed it with a 'thumbh~' sound beside her.
Luo Lixi was startled by him. When she noticed the bag, she shot him a questioning glance why he had placed it beside her. He told her, "Take the things you want from it. You can also distribute the remaining food among other people. Make sure to make the bag empty."
Luo Lixi didn't know why he would say that but nonetheless she nodded in understanding.
Sheng Ruming sat in a chair which was beside her and relaxed himself. Everything was okay 'till' then.
Luo Lixi stood up and placed the book where it was earlier. She walked towards the bag and crouched down on the floor. She took out the packets one by one and the more she did that the more she felt something was wrong. There was even a little container of milk powder in there.
From one thing to another, every food packet was filled with protein food. She glanced at him for a second but when he looked at her eyes, she gazed down hurriedly. She shook the odd feeling away.
Why would a grown up man like him take something like this?! Only babies eat those things. (As far as she knew..)
