Chapter 28 - Preparing For The Seige
The week was busy at Michael's lair. All the council members were preparing their weapons for the siege on Lucas' old hideout. Lucas expected Peter to be staying there at the time being because all Peter wanted was Lucas' position in the pack, and to become the alpha. What better way than to replace Lucas completely by taking over his hideout?
Lucas was silent the whole week, and he stayed at the roof most of the time. Praneeth and Michael would talk with him from time to time, but the council members did not know about the details of the conversations.
On the day before d-day, Lucas gave the council members one final surprise.
"If you all want a final outfit, with some better hardware and more... updated weapons, you can come with me. It is better for me if you are able to stop me from going berserk after all.", he chuckled when he addressed them. He invited them all to his bunker out in the woods.
The journey there was thorny. The entire way, Angela was complaining about how the forest did not treat her skin very well, and how the trees seemed to hate her hair.
"Stop whining like a baby. It's just a small hike. You are making a mountain out of a mole hill.", Raphael reprimanded her.

They got to the entrance. Lucas opened the door, and gestured them to enter.
"It's been years since I have been here. Looking forward to the changes you made. I remember you were bragging about how you outfitted this place with a complete set of new devices.", Mu Chen laughed.
"Don't worry, you will not be disappointed", Lucas reassured as they entered the bunker. They slid in, and Lucas turned on the lights. They skipped all of the homely features of the bunker and arrived at the laboratory.
"Well, Eva. What do you think? You were hounding me, asking for a place to work. You have a day in your hands. Do you think that you can make a draught powerful enough to put him to sleep?", Michael nudged on Eva's shoulder. She harrumphed, and she looked at the laboratory with gleaming eyes. "A day? With what I see here, I can do something better than what I have within an hour.", she said.
"Lofty goals.", Lucas commented as he walked forward to a darker place in the bunker. There was a wall there, and a palm scanner. Scanning using his whole hand, he then typed out something on the keypad to unlock something. Michael looked at this with confusion.
"Why did you put a lock there? There is clearly no door.", he asked.
"No door? Can't you see the door?", Lucas laughed as he took a step back. Hiss, a puff of smoke came out from underneath the wall as the whole wall itself started moving up.
"Extravagance at its max. Well, what can one do with so much money in his hands?", Praneeth shook his head, but it was clear that even he was impressed by this display.
The wall revealed a wall coated in white. It was bright, and there were guns and weapons along racks that filled up the room. It was like a checkers board, with black and white dotting the room.
Everyone sucked in the cold air around them when they looked at this sight.
"What the hell did you stock this many weapons for, Lucas? You can arm an entire army with the number of weapons you have here.", Arthur asked.
"Well, that was my intention."
