The Cursed King

Chapter 231 - Loriel Finally Gives In To Temptation

Loriel did need an heir. And he already had a wife. If he got her pregnant, he would have his heir and everyone in Summeria would rejoice.

Elise seemed to love him very much and Loriel could tell she was willing to sleep with him.

But… but… should he do it?

If he did… he would cross the line that he drew himself. There would be no turning back.

"Are you in pain?" Elise asked worriedly. She already saw Loriel winced twice. Oh no… what should she do? Why was her husband so prone to migraines?

Loriel opened his eyes and caught sight of her beautiful face right above his. Her peach emerald eyes looked at him with worry. Their eyes locked.

Why were her eyes so beautiful? Loriel could see his reflection on them. And… those luscious lips… they were red and full and wet.

Elise had a habit to lick her lips when she was nervous. Loriel had noticed this. And every time she did that, it sent blood from his brain right to his penis.

The man swallowed. He grunted and muttered something incoherently. Then he got up from her lap. The man waved at Elise and bid her goodbye in a hurry. "I need to go now. Good night."

Elise didn't know what just happened. She was sitting on her bed, looking confused, staring at Loriel's back view until he disappeared.

Loriel rushed to his residence and locked himself in his chamber.

Dammit..!! He knew she was so alluring and every time they spent time so closely like that, he would get turned on. She was just so hot, and she didn't even realize the effect she had on him.

When she spoke, when she touched his head and gave it a loving massage, when he smelled her scent, when her breath brushed his face, when her eyes looked at him with a gaze filled with love, when she licked her lips…. Gosh!!!

He could go crazy!

Suddenly Loriel felt like he was the dumbest man in the universe. He knew the effect she had on him, yet he kept coming back. He kept asking for more. It was like a moth drawn to a flame.

And today, it had become unbearable.

Loriel pulled down his pants and started stroking himself. He got a massive hard-on and needed to get his release.

***

Loriel didn't visit Elise for three days after that night. He sent Horatio to tell Elise that he was very busy, but he promised to visit her again after he was done with work.

That put Elise to ease and she kept herself busy by tending the garden and taking care of her beloved pet that was gifted to her for her birthday by her dear husband.

Meanwhile, the new arrangements with the merchants of the trading kingdom turned out to be a success. Loriel's officials said that the merchants wished to result in having less tax, so they sold their items at a more affordable price.

It was something that Loriel decided to celebrate with his wife. He brought some wine over to Elise's chamber three days later and two cups for them to share with to enjoy their evening.

"Your idea has helped smoothen trade relations, thank you." Loriel poured his wife some wine.

"Ah, it was only a suggestion, Your Majesty," Elise blushed as she drank some of the wine. She didn't want to make herself too drunk, so she only sipped a couple of times to not offend her husband.

Loriel himself didn't want to get drunk either, but he was in a pleased mood and wanted to lighten up. The man decided to drink only half a cup though, in order to keep his wits around his wife.

But whether it was the wine or just him lowering his own inhibitions, when Loriel crawled into Elise's bed for some tender loving care from her, he looked at his wife and felt his heart flutter.

"You're so wonderful," Loriel murmured as he placed a hand on her cheek.

Elise blushed at his words and tried to shake her head. "I was only doing my best as the queen of Summeria, Your Majesty."

"And you're doing exceedingly well," Loriel stared at the face he wanted to hate so much, but he could never do. "It was wrong of me to think of you as anything less than wonderful."

Elise's breath hitched slightly. She was not used to his compliments and being gazed upon by Loriel so tenderly. "Are you drunk, Your Majesty?"

Loriel shook his head and reassured her. "No. But I cannot seem to hold my tongue around your presence any longer."

"I see… then shouldn't we rest now, Your Majesty?" Elise suggested and patted the pillow. "You might say things that you'll regret in the morning."

"No." Loriel shook his head.

Regret?

How could Loriel regret saying the truth?

If there was anyone who should be regretting it, it was probably Elise who should regret marrying him.

Why was this wonderful woman stuck by the side of a man who did not love her? Why was this beautiful person staying with the king who was so weak to temptation around her that he lied about his illnesses?

Why was Elise staying here when the two of them already fulfilled their mothers' vows to marry? Shouldn't Elise be more concerned and worried about her happiness than those of people who were no longer around?

"No?" Elise looked at Loriel in surprise. Her heart skipped a beat.

"I do not wish to sleep this early, Elise," Loriel murmured.

Loriel loved Queen Maude and could respect Queen Catalina's devotion to her daughter's heart… but even they also had their own flaws and errors in thinking.

The idea of marrying two people who did not know each other, who might not love each other?

They did not think of that at all.

But those thoughts drifted away from Loriel's head as he stared at Elise and found himself drawing instinctively closer to her. It only felt natural now to be so attracted to this wonderful woman who stayed despite everything.

Loriel tugged Elise's chin and looked at her deeply.. When his lips touched Elise's, Loriel kissed her.
