The Demon Queen's Contract

Chapter 31: Are you hiding from me

As I lay there, cocooned in the covers and trying to calm my racing heart, I felt the bed dip slightly as Seraphina sat beside me. My breath hitched in anticipation. The room was silt except for the soft rustling of the sheets and the faint sound of Seraphina's breathing.

Without warning, she gtly tugged at the covers, pulling them down just ough to reveal my face. I blinked up at her, my heart pounding as I met her intse gaze. There was a glint of mischief in her eyes that I hadn't se before.

"Are you hiding from me, Elara?" she asked, her voice low and playful.

I felt my cheeks flush with embarrassmt. "No, I just... I'm not used to this," I stammered, feeling exposed under her scrutiny.

Seraphina smiled, a slow, seductive curve of her lips. "There's no need to hide," she said, sitting on the edge of the bed. She reached out, her fingers trailing lightly over my arm, sding shivers down my spine.

"You're differt tonight," I said, my voice barely a whisper. "Not like you were this morning."

She chuckled softly. "I'm full of surprises," she replied, her eyes glinting with mischief. "You might find I'm not always as cold as I seem."

Her fingers continued their path, moving up to brush against my collarbone. The touch was electrifying, and I felt my body respond involuntarily. "Seraphina..." I began, but she silced me with a look.

"Let me show you," she murmured, leaning closer. Her breath was warm against my skin, and I could feel the heat radiating from her body.

Before I could react, she pressed her lips to mine in a slow, deliberate kiss. It was a kiss that demanded a response, and I found myself kissing her back with equal fervor. Her hands moved to my waist, pulling me closer, and I felt a rush of desire that left me breathless.

Seraphina's lips moved to my neck, her teeth grazing my skin in a way that made me gasp. "You're beautiful, Elara," she whispered, her voice husky with desire. "Do you know that?"

I shook my head, unable to form cohert words. Her touch, her voice, everything about her was overwhelming. I felt her hands slide under my gown, her fingers teasing the ssitive skin of my thighs.

"Seraphina..." I managed to say, my voice trembling. "What are you doing?"

"What I want to do," she replied, her eyes dark with intsity. "What I think you want me to do."

She moved with a confidce that was both thrilling and terrifying. Her hands roamed over my body, each touch sding waves of heat through me. I felt my resolve melting under her ministrations, the tsion betwe us growing unbearable.

Just as her hands reached the hem of my panties, a sudd knock on the door shattered the momt. We both froze, and a voice called out, "Que Seraphina, you are needed."

Seraphina pulled back, her expression a mix of frustration and resignation. She took a deep breath, composing herself before turning to the door. "What is it?" she called, her voice cold and authoritative once more.

"There's an urgt matter that requires your atttion," the voice replied.

Seraphina sighed, looking back at me with an apologetic smile. "Duty calls," she said softly, brushing a strand of hair from my face. "But this isn't over."

I nodded, feeling a mix of disappointmt and relief. As she stood up and moved towards the door, I couldn't help but admire the strgth and grace in her every movemt. She paused for a momt, glancing back at me.

"Wait here," she said, her tone leaving no room for argumt. "I'll be back as soon as I can."

With that, she oped the door and stepped out, leaving me alone with my thoughts. I lay back on the bed, my mind racing with the intsity of the momt we had just shared. I could still feel the heat of her touch, the lingering taste of her kiss.

The room seemed to hum with the ergy of our interrupted passion, and I couldn't help but wonder what would have happed if we hadn't be interrupted. The anticipation, the desire, it all hung in the air, making it difficult to think about anything else.

Minutes felt like hours as I waited, the silce of the room pressing in on me. I picked up the book I had chos earlier, trying to distract myself, but my mind kept drifting back to Seraphina and the way she had looked at me, touched me.

Finally, after what felt like an eternity, the door creaked op, and Seraphina stepped back into the room. She closed the door behind her and leaned against it, her eyes meeting mine with a smoldering intsity.

"Sorry for the interruption," she said, her voice a low purr. "Where were we?"

I swallowed hard, my heart pounding in my chest. "You were... you were just about to..." I trailed off, unable to finish the stce.

Seraphina smiled, a wicked glint in her eyes. "Ah, yes," she said, moving towards the bed. "I remember now."

She climbed back onto the bed, her body hovering over mine. The heat betwe us reignited instantly, and I felt myself drawn into the magnetic pull of her presce. Her lips found mine once more, and the world seemed to fade away, leaving only the two of us.

Her hands resumed their exploration, each touch more daring than the last. I felt myself responding, my body arching towards her, craving more of the ssations she was evoking. It was intoxicating, the way she made me feel, and I was helpless to resist.

But just as the intsity reached its peak, another knock sounded at the door. This time, the voice was more urgt. "Que Seraphina, it's an emergcy!"

Seraphina pulled back, her frustration evidt. She took a deep breath, trying to compose herself. "I'll be right there," she called out, her voice tight with annoyance.

She looked down at me, her expression softing. "I'm sorry, Elara," she said, her fingers brushing against my cheek. "Duty calls once more."

I nodded, feeling a mix of relief and longing. "It's okay," I said, my voice barely a whisper. "I understand."

Seraphina leaned down, pressing a soft kiss to my forehead. "I promise we'll finish this," she murmured. "Soon."

With that, she stood up and moved towards the door, her demeanor shifting back to the cold, authoritative que. I watched her go, my heart aching with a strange mix of emotions.

As the door closed behind her, I lay back on the bed, staring up at the ceiling. The night stretched out before me, long and lonely, filled with the promise of what might have be. And as I drifted off to sleep, I couldn't help but wonder what the future held for Seraphina and me.
