Chapter 7
Chapter 7
Little Fox was feeling more and more wronged and sadder the more she thought about it.
Pei Chiyao was the first human she had trusted. It turned out...everything Mother said was true. Humans are all liars! They are bad guys!
Before she even had time to shed a tear, a huge roar suddenly sounded in her ear. Zhi Yao's brain didn't have time to react before her body had already responded first.
She was so frightened she took off from where she stood, leaping straight onto Pei Chiyao, clinging to him with all four limbs for dear life.
"Is this how you foxes cozy up to bad guys?" His voice held hints of laughter. Zhi Yao could tell he was making fun of her!
She was both angry and annoyed! It wasn't that she wanted to! Although her brain was very unwillingly accepting the possibility that Pei Chiyao might sell her, her body hadn't accepted it yet!
She was so angry she was just about to get off Pei Chiyao when her bottom was lightly patted. "Don't move."
Immediately after, the roar grew louder and what came with it was warm wind and those large, warm hands gently massaging Zhi Yao's scalp, blow drying her damp long hair.
Only then did Zhi Yao realize! So this wasn't used to catch foxes!
Her whole body stiffened for a good few seconds before she finally relaxed.
There was no denying it, whether it was Pei Chiyao's fox-petting skills or his head-massaging skills, they were first-rate.
Zhi Yao closed her eyes comfortably, even burying her face in Pei Chiyao's shoulder and taking a deep sniff.
It smelled so nice...
It wasn't until the roaring stopped and Pei Chiyao's slightly cold voice rang in her ears that Zhi Yao finally came back to her senses. "Now you're not worried I'll sell you?"
Sell...
Those two words were like hitting Zhi Yao's pressure points. She suddenly looked up at Pei Chiyao and said, "You, you, you...you really are going to sell me?"
Foxes are very simple creatures with their thoughts written all over their faces.
When her scalp was being scratched, she closed her eyes comfortably.

Now...her golden eyes were wet, looking as if they had been washed, her mouth pouted slightly, as if she would cry at any moment.
This look was quite similar to that lively little white fox from before.
"I...I'm still small! Won't sell for much! Look how skinny and little I am. I heard they sell by the pound there. One like me won't sell for much." Zhi Yao was nearly in tears.
Small?
Pei Chiyao raised his eyebrows. He didn't think there was anything small about her.
Before he could say anything, there was a timely knock at the door.
Zhi Yao instantly turned pale.
Certainly...certainly they had come!
She clung tightly to Pei Chiyao.
No! No!
As long as she held on tight enough, no one would be able to take her away from here!
Pei Chiyao clicked his tongue. "Are you trying to strangle me to death..."
He hadn't even finished speaking when there was another flash of white light before his eyes.
Zhi Yao instantly transformed back into the little white fox from before.
The smooth feeling under his palm instantly disappeared without a trace. Pei Chiyao froze in place, not having reacted yet.
Until that touch of white "whooshed" and darted under the bed, the door was also opened.
Brother Sun rushed in. "Chiyao, I knocked and called you several times. Why didn't you answer? You scared me to death. I thought you had passed out again."
Pei Chiyao's gaze instantly became like two sharp swords looking at Brother Sun.
Brother Sun jumped in fright, quickly shutting his mouth. He thought he must have displeased him somehow. "Alright, I just came to deliver a script. Ancestor, don't mind me. I'll be off."
As an agent, Brother Sun felt terribly wronged.
But there was no helping it since it was Pei Chiyao!
International movie star Pei Chiyao, the lone Pei Chiyao in a sea of people, the rich and imposing Pei Chiyao.
He would be happy to be his grandson for life.
Brother Sun's footsteps gradually faded away.
"Come out," Pei Chiyao said, looking under the bed.
However, there was no response.
"I'll count to three. If you don't come out, I'll call those people right now to come catch you."
He opened his mouth, but didn't even make it to "one" before there was another white blur darting out. The little fox crawled pitifully out from under the bed and stood two meters away from Pei Chiyao, desperately kowtowing.
Please please...
"Mm..." She made a wronged cry, continuously turning in circles.
The next second, she was grabbed by the neck and hugged into his arms.
"Transform into a human and let me see again." He narrowed his eyes, a warning glint in them.
The fox froze on the spot. After a while, she shook her head.
No!
Ever since drinking that medicine last time, she discovered...whether she wanted to transform into a human or fox was no longer something she could do as she pleased.
"Can't transform anymore?"
The little fox nodded pitifully, afraid Pei Chiyao would call someone to catch her on a whim, she reached up with her two soft paws onto Pei Chiyao's shoulders and nuzzled his chin with her furry round head.
This fawning behavior completely delighted Pei Chiyao.
If she couldn't transform then she couldn't.
He had only intended to raise a fox to amuse himself, he didn't expect...there would be a surprise like this.
In any case, there were still many days ahead.
He had to keep this fox.
"Stay by my side, don't go anywhere." He spoke gloomily, threatening, "There are many fox-catchers outside. Only by my side is safe. Understand?"
Upon hearing the three words "catch foxes", Zhi Yao shivered in Pei Chiyao's arms from fright.
She nodded in a panic, raised her paws, pointed outside, then pointed at herself.
Pei Chiyao quickly understood her meaning.
"With me here, who dares catch you?"
Zhi Yao lifted her head, her golden eyes filled with confusion.
Did his words mean...he wouldn't get people to catch her anymore?
The little one had just had a bath. Her fur was soft, fluffy, and white all over.
This made Pei Chiyao, who already loved hugging her, love her even more.
His hands never left Zhi Yao's body.
Zhi Yao didn't dare get angry but didn't dare speak!
Pei Chiyao flipped open the script, seemingly familiarizing himself with tomorrow's filming.
With nothing else to do, Zhi Yao, who was trapped in Pei Chiyao's embrace, could only follow along reading the script.
Soon, Pei Chiyao discovered...
Why was the little fox in his arms continuously whimpering?
"Mm mm mm..."
"Chirp squeak squeak squeak @#!$%..."
Following Zhi Yao's gaze, Pei Chiyao suddenly had a guess.
"You can't possibly be reading the script can you?"
Zhi Yao proudly lifted her head. Of course! She was a cultured fox!
